With Memorial Day just passing, Flag Day and the 4th of July quickly approaching, this inspiration photo was the perfect on to use with the new release Good Point stamp set.
I stamped several times the arrow with the stars into a chevron pattern and then colored a few of the stars within each stamped image using my copic markers. To keep the card on the CAS design but still add some addition red/white and blue colors I added some Trendy Twine in one of my FAVORITE twists~ Stars and Stripes.
Finally I stamped my sentiment using the Wish BIG stamp set and attached all my layers onto my Kraft Cardstock base.

Well that is all I have for you this morning!
Check out The Alley Way Stamps for more inspiration and we would LOVE to see you play along!!
Hope you all have a GREAT day and thanks so much for stopping by!!

I started with my PTI tag and stamped the sentiment on the bottom...Then using the adorable lemon, stamped it once on white cardstock and then again on pattern paper. Cutting out the pieces I wanted and then gluing them to the lemon, I popped it up on the tag.
To add just a but more to the tag, I stamped the little juice squeezes, colored them using copic and then added some glossy accents.
For the bag, I used a small glassine bag from The Kraft Outlet, embossed it and then added another stamped juice squeeze.
Finally I attached the tag using an eyelet and tying a double bow using some
 Lemon Tart Trendy Twine.
Wouldn't this make a cute treat for a summer picnic party????

Wish You Were Here.....{Trendy Twine & TAWS}

Good Morning Bloggers!!!
It is my design team day for Trendy Twine and I am so excited to share my card...
All month the DT has been showcasing the gorgeous Trendy Twine colors of the month
and mixing our projects with Kraft (one of my favorite go to colors!)
And for even more fun within the Trendy Twine DT, a few of us have been sharing projects using The Alley Way Stamps too.... So today I get to share them both!

It just happens to be Day 3 of sneaks for the
June stamps being released from
and I have incorporated my sneak into my Trendy Twine DT project using the soon to be released
Tropical Hideaway
stamp set......
Here is my card.....this so makes me want to hit the beach :)
My card starts with a Kraft card stock base and I added a mat of designer paper from Echo Park~Paradise Beach paper pack. I stamped the sentiment and then ran the mat through my sewing machine and attached it all to my card base. Then using the surf board, I stamped it 2 times on matching designer paper from the same stack and then 4 times on the kraft cardstock. I cut the surf boards and then the center circles out, then grabbed some
Tickled with Teal Trendy Twine and attached it to the center of both surf boards. I popped up the kraft center and glued them both on my card.
I could have stopped there but thought my card needed something more so I decided to add some more dimension and make my own cords. I used more Tickled with Teal Trendy Twine and some jump rings.
They look pretty cool don't you think????
Makes you want to hit the beach...right :)

Well that is all I have for you today..... Make sure to stop over at the Trendy Twine blog for more awesome projects being posted daily and check out the new store HERE
Both Tickled with Teal and Twisted Teal are on sale but only for a few more days!

Thanks for stopping by and have a GREAT day!!

Good Point........{TAWS Sneak Day 2}

Good Morning Bloggers!!!
It is Day 2 of our sneaks for the new June stamps being released from
Today I am sharing a project using the new
Good Point
stamp set......
I used this week's  CAS(E) this Sketch

and made a birthday card/ gift card holder...
Hope you like it :)
So here is the front of my card....Like I said before I used the fun sketch, added papers from The Paper Loft~Everyday Life Collection and those GREAT arrows and sentiment from the new Good Point stamp set. When putting this card together, I thought there was something missing between the papers...So using my sewing machine I added a zig zag pattern where my two designer papers met and then ran a straight line border around the outside. Finally after my mat was sewn I added it to an Enchanted Evening PTI card base and popped my arrows up using some foam squares.
Here is the inside...I followed the same pattern as the front but instead of sewing the zig zag I left it open for a pocket. How fun would this be to add a birthday gift card or money??
The sentiment is not from the Good Point set...instead it is from on of my favorite birthday sets~ Wish BIG.

I hope you have enjoyed my card and don't forget to come back on tomorrow for Day 3 and on Thursday for our
New Release Blog Hop!

Now head on over to
you will not want to miss the chance to win
All the comments posted today on their blog will go into a random drawing and someone will win this stamp set~

Beep Beep.....Mean's Happy Birthday in Robot....... {TKJ, TAWS and Craft it Up Guest}

Good Morning, Happy Memorial Day!!
I hope you all are having a GREAT holiday weekend! I know we are! We have been at my in laws cottage on the lake all weekend, enjoying the family time and sun!

Anyways........Welcome to my PACKED blog today!
I have a ton going on in this post so get ready.....

Let's get this party going!!!

This week over at The Kraft Journal we are challenging you to
 "Use Any Sketch"
and the new linky party over at Craft It Up & Link It Up Linky Party is
Anything w/Ribbon
so for my card I used one of my favorite go to challenge blogs~ Seize the Birthday
 for my card.
  Since it is also Sneak Day 1 of the new June release over at
 I added my sneak using the fun fun stamp set Bot Time and came up with this birthday card..... I hope you like it!!!
I started my card off with a Brown Kraft Cardstock base and added a mat of Bazzill  Navy card stock and designer paper from DoodleBug Deisgns~Boy's Only paper pad. Before adhering my mat  to my card base, I used some White Twill Tape and let some of the extra hang off the end....you know, just for a bit extra :)
I also added some screw brads (to match the sketch) and taped the whole mat down to my base. Next came the stamping of the fun image and sentiments. I used the new release stamp set from The Alley Way Stamps ~Bot Time, some memento tuxedo black ink and another matching sheet of designer paper. I left the image plain...cause I just LOVE this big guy and double stamped the "beep".
Since this is a birthday card I stamped another sentiment inside the card following the same layout as the front using several sets....
Bot Time, Alphabet Soup, and Wish BIG!
So fun isn't it????

Well there you have it.... I hope you have enjoyed my inspiration for all these fun challenges!!
To see more make sure you head on over to...
and

Thanks for stopping by and have a GREAT rest of the day!!!!

Red, White and Blue Birthday Card......{Challenge Card}

Happy Saturday everyone!! Hope you are all having a GREAT holiday weekend!!!
I wanted to pop in with a non DT project and share a card I made to enter into a few  fun challenges! I used this week's Seize the Birthday sketch...
(If you have not played along in their challenges..you really should check them out! I LOVE their sketches and entered my birthday card from last week's The Kraft Journal post and won!!) Anyways here is the sketch
And here is my take on it....
Since I originally started this card for the Peachy Keen Stamp Challenge I of course wanted something that I could cut and use my PK faces on... and I remembered I had this adorable circus clown from Miss Kate Cuttables that I had wanted to use and knew he would look adorable with his Piles of Smiles PK face.
 (I so need some new face stamps too..going to take advantage of their sale this weekend...recommendations on what to get?????)
I was so excited that I was able to use some of my new My Creative Time goodies too~ the Journal It! Stamp Set, Stitched Journal Die and the Many Greeting Stamp Set for the "Happy Birthday".
I didn't check the month box or add in the year so whenever or whomever uses this can do so themselves.
In keeping with the Red, White and Blue color theme, I added some of my FAVORITE Trendy Twine~ Stars and Stipes for the balloon strings. If you don't have this color yet...you need it! It is a must have for the summer holidays....
Memorial Day...Flag Day...4th of July and Labor Day~
Here he is closer...isn't he adorable??? Some people think clowns are scary...not this little guy right???!?!!! He actually has a cream colored face and white shirt...kinda hard to tell in the picture :( Sorry about that. I tried to make, photo and picture this all before the lighting got bad here.
Anyways, I wanted to add a bit more to him so I stickled his nose and shoes using X-Mas red Stickles, added some tiny brads to his suspenders and some white gel pen to his eyes.

Well there you have it! Hope you have enjoyed my birthday card! Thanks so much for stopping by and have a GREAT rest of your weekend!!!

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
So here is the card I made....
I used this week's Mojo Monday Sketch as well as the Bingo Challenge over at Catch the Bug
and came up with this,
Just in time for the Holiday weekend....
I took the Mojo Monday sketch and flipped it on it's side...I just love how this turned out (if I might say so myself...LOL)
The Bugaboo image I used was AKV Girl Celebrate and was last week's freebie image. I am sure you all know by now what a HUGE Bugaboo fan I am...make sure to check out their blog...there is a new freebie listed every Friday!
Here is a close-up of the image that I ended up coloring using my copic markers....not much coloring needed to be done since it is such a small image. I also added some diamond stickles to the stars which "match" the glittery brads I used as embellishments.
And here is the gorgeous Navy crinkle ribbon from 3GJ! It is a new release and you can find it in the Navy Bundle. In following with my Red/ White and Blue theme I also added one of my favorite colors of Trendy Twine and a must have for the upcoming few months....
Could not leave out my machine stitching (which is actually part of the Bugaboo challenge)
What do you think???
I sure hope you have enjoyed my project and will play along with us over at the
Teacher Appreciation Post-it Note Tutorial..........{The Kraft Journal}
Good Morning!!
 I am up on The Kraft Journal's Blog today with a  great end of the school year Teacher Appreciation gift idea and tutorial. Last year I made this altered coaster Post-it note holder (see original HERE)  and have had many requests to share how I made it.  Since the end of the school year is quickly approaching for many, we all have those special teacher's we like to do a little extra  for so hopefully you will be inspired to create one of these as well.
Here are the supplies you need.....
The supply list is quite simple and can be altered to fit whatever theme you choose.
Coaster or Chipboard
designer paper
stamp and stamp block
ink
adhesive
So let's begin!
Start by taking your chipboard piece (4in x4in) or coaster and cover it with the Brown Kraft Cardstock using any adhesive of your choice. My go to is the Tombo Mono Multi Liquid and after I glue the card stock to the coaster I smooth all the air bubbles out with my bone folder
I also ended up using a file to smooth the edges around the coaster as well. You want a nice finished look both on the front and the back of the coaster. Plus if you are using chipboard, the added cardstock makes the whole piece sturdier.
This next step can be done however you choose and can be as detailed as you want. I choose to use my designer paper, some Black Twill Tape and my sewing machine. I quickly ran the ribbon and designer paper through my sewing machine using a zig zag stitch and then followed the same steps as above to attach it to my base.
Now to finish your project off...all you have to do is stamp your sentiment onto the post it notes...yes depending on how many sheets of paper you are stamping on it can get pretty tedious but the receiver would love to have all the pages be consistent~ don't you think?? I used The Alley Way Stamps~ Trees Company stamp set for both the sentiment and that adorable apple. I also hot glued the Hinge Clip to my coaster base, further embellished with a button from my stash and some Natural Hemp Cord
So there you have it...What do you think???
I know exactly who will be getting this and sure hope she likes it!!
Thanks so much for stopping by and have a GREAT Wedneday!
How adorable is this birdy with his big eyes...LOL!!
I ended up stamping him on my white cardstock and then paper piecing using some scrap paper from my HUGE pile :)
Life....Enjoy the Ride......{TAWS} {Post #2}
This is my 2nd post for this morning....if you are looking for my Trendy Twine/ Little Scraps of Heaven Cross Promo card please click
Good Morning Everyone!!
It is my DT day over at
and I have a card to share that I made and entered into the
PaperCrafts Stamping Royality contest.
I didn't win and totally didn't expected to but I wanted to show you what I entered....
I used these stamp sets from TAWS~ Kid'n CaboodleBackground Check and All About You
And came up with this.......
Such a great sentiment and totally words to live by!
So here is a close-up of all the stamps I used from these 3 sets. I paper pieced the boat using MME Moments 6x6 paper pad, of course my sewing machine for some stitching and some Tim Holtz Broken China distress ink for the waves. My sentiment was stamped using Memento Tuxedo Black ink and I added a bit of copic marker coloring to the star and flag.
Well that is all I have for you. I hope you have enjoyed my card and please make sure to check out my Trendy Twine post.....
It's a super adorable card if you ask me :)
Toad-ally Awesome..............{Trendy Twine/ Little Scraps of Heaven Cross Promo}
Morning and welcome to a special
Trendy Twine post!
Today a few of the Trendy Twine DT will be doing a cross promotion with
Little Scraps of Heaven Designs and showcasing the
Cotton Candy Trio of Trendy Twine.
For my card, I made another easel...
(kinda obsessed with these lately)
and used the adorable "Bring on the Rain" file and Sky Trendy Twine
Here is my card.....
Didn't this turn out CUTE????? I love that froggy and pairing him up with some peachy keen goodness...well you can just see his personalty popping out!
Here he is a bit closer. I cut him out using all scraps from my stash along with papers from Echo Park~ Paradise Beach paper pad. After inking the edges of my cuts using Distress ink in Broken China, Peeled Paint and Antique Linen I stamped his face using PKS~ Happy Lil' Frog. I did add some Sky TT bows to his boots and then bordered my bracket card mat with the same Sky Trendy Twine and tied a triple bow at the side.
This twine was a perfect match to my color theme and added just the right amount of extra embellishments the front of the card needed.
Finally here is the inside of my card....I did end up cutting some raindrops and gluing them to the sentiment as well as the front of the card....just thought it needed something more. I also added glossy accents to them for the look of actual raindrops. The sentiment is from Joy's Life Stamps~ Punny Animals....so cute!
Supplies Used~
Trendy Twine~ Sky
Peachy Keen Stamps~ Happy Lil' Frog (Cottage Cutz)
Joy's Life Stamps~Punny Animals
Echo Park Paradise Beach 6x6 paper pad
glossy accents, pop dots, distress ink, brads, flat back pearl
Well that is all I have for you today.....
I hope you like my card :)
Make sure to pop over to the Trendy Twine blog to see what the other girls created as well!!
And don't forget to check out these colors in the Trendy Twine Store!!
