Life's a Beach.....{PKS}

Morning!!!
I am playing along with this week's Peachy Keen Stamps challenge and this week it is this fun photo.... I just LOVE these colors and when I saw the photo I thought of the beach and the adorable new June SOTM ....

So using the colors and my interpretation of the photo I made this fun beach bag... I hope you like it :)
While searching the Silhouette store I found this fun 3D beach style gift bag and went ahead and embellished it using the adorable PKS June SOTM set.... I just LOVE all these adorable images and I am so glad I finally signed up for the club...I know...totally wished I had done it along time ago and every month kept saying this is the month..well I finally did it after my hubs said "Do it already"...LOL!!
Anyways I used the Palm Tree and Star Fish, the matching SVG files for these both and colored them in using my copic markers. Once they were all finished I put them aside and put my bag together. I wanted to give the bag a more "bag like feel" so I added some stitching to the bottom and the handle. But before closing the bag I stamped my sentiment, also from the June SOTM set. Once all the pieces were assembled, I stamped another sentiment and attached it to the handle of my bag using some Sky Trendy Twine and a button from my stash.
I couldn't leave the back empty, so I cut and stamped the beach ball from the stamp set and popped it up on the back.. So cute right???

Well there you have it....My beach inspired, playtime inspired project :) I hope you have enjoyed it!!
Thanks so much for stopping by and have a GREAT day!!!

Birthday Wishes.........{TKJ}

Good Morning and Happy Monday everyone!!!
It is time for a new challenge over at

This week's challenge is...
Inks, Paints, Markers
So I played along with one of my favorite sketch challenges....
And here is the birthday card I made....
Who doesn't like to get messy playing with Inks, Paints and Markers???
I know I love playing with my copic markers, and trying to blend and color to look better and better each time I color. So for my inspiration project I used the adorable image from By Lori Designs~Birthday Owen. I pulled him into my silhouette designer studio, sized him to what I wanted and then added a border around him, just to give him some extra detail around the image (plus the balloon strings are too thin to cut and I wanted to pop him up on my card base). Once he was cut and colored, I added some stickles to his balloons and then put him aside to work on the rest of my card.
As also I used a Brown Kraft Cardstock base, added a layer of white cardstock and then my pattern paper from Basic Grey~Bowties paper pack.  I knew the design I was following~the sketch as pictured above~ but I wanted to further add some embellishments so I went ahead and used some White Twill Tape and colored them with the matching copic colors. Then to attach them to my card mat, I used probably one of my all time favorite embellishments~ the Custom Fasteners and just added more stickles to the centers.
Finally I used My Creative Time~Vintage Sentiment Stamp set for the "Birthday Wishes". I just love the way the sentiment looks!
 So there you have it....my inspiration for this week's challenge.
I hope you have enjoyed my card and will play along with us!
As always I have linked all the supplies I used from The Kraft Outlet throughout my description.  If you have not checked out the store yet....make sure you do! There is so much available, the prices are so reasonable and shipping is super fast!!!
Thanks for stopping by and have a GREAT Monday!!

You're Invited......{3GJ}

Good Morning!!!
Yippee.....  It is Friday and today is my "official" first day of summer vacation!!
My kiddo's finished school on Tuesday and Wednesday but yesterday I hosted the end of the year Staff Appreciation Breakfast.
This is to say thanks for a GREAT school year, say goodbye to teacher's if any are leaving and to give them what they all LOVE~ food...LOL!
And since I am posting a project for 3GJ over on the blog HERE, I thought I would share the invite I made for the breakfast, using 3GJ ribbon of course :)
Here it is :)
I wanted something fun for my invite this year. It has been a rough year in our district with budget stuff and lots of teacher layoff's so I was going for something that they could smile at.
Pretty CAS too!
I designed the entire LO in my silhouette studio and then once I had the idea sketched out, I went and cut out all the pieces...
I used Pretty Paper Pretty Ribbon's~Java Great Day Cutting Files. Isn't this just the cutest???? Lisa really knows how to make ADORABLE files!!

And then for my ribbon I used a newer released color and one of my favorites~Latte from the Coffee Bundle.
Of course for some added details I used my sewing machine...LOL! Just wanted to add a bit more to my LO without taking away from the invite part..

Well there you have it! I hope you have enjoyed my project!!!
Thanks so much for stopping by and have a GREAT Friday!!!

Congratulations to the Perfect Couple and a Winner......{The Kraft Journal}

Good Morning and Happy Monday everyone!!!
It is time for a new challenge over at

This week's challenge is...
Felt, Twine or Burlap
Since wedding season is upon us, I wanted to incorporated the theme for this week's challenge~Felt, Twine or Burlap to make a wedding card. I followed the sketch from Deconstructed Sketches
And came up with this card...
I started out with a Brown Kraft Cardstock base and added several layers of pattern paper using Theresa Collins~Summer Stories designer paper. Then using a Mini Burlap Tag, I cut the bottom to the shape I wanted and adhered the burlap to my mat using my hot glue gun. Since it is a  wedding card, I used an image from my favorite digital stamp company~Bugaboo stamps and only added minimal color to the image, just enough to add some color. To further embellish my card, I added some Metallic Twist Hemp Twine, a big glittery button and some small bling. Finally, I stamped my wedding sentiment using My Creative Time's~Many Greetings stamp set.

Happy Father's Day.......{PKS, 100 Days of Tombow }

Happy Sunday
and
 Happy Father's Day to all those awesome dad's out there!! I hope you are all having a great weekend! I know it has been super busy here with the end of the school year activities, baseball games and of course celebrating with Father's Day with my wonderful family!!

I have a quick Father's Day card to share that I made to enter a bunch of current challenges going on as well as a very special project I was asked to participate in...

I was recently contacted by Tombow and asked if I'd like participate in their 100 Days of Tombow Centennial Celebration. They're donating $100 in crafting supplies to the Council of Arts Education and every blogger that participates gets supplies to craft with. The package they sent included Dual Brush Pens, Irojiten Color Pencils and the Stamp Runner Adhesive.
 (All products I am a big fan of already on top of my GO TO liquid glue~Tombow Mono Mulit and Aqua)

So for my card I used this week's sketch from Pile it On
And came up with this fun card. I hope you like it!!
For my card I started with a Brown Kraft Card stock base and added my layers of designer paper~ digital papers from  Pretty Paper Pretty Ribbon called Man oh Man Add on Pack. Once all my layers were matted the way I wanted, using my Tombow stamp runner adhesive I taped them all down. But before I taped the one layer, I added some Trendy Twine in In The Navy and Orangesicle, some candi embellishments and my sentiment from My Creative Time~Happy Homecoming
Now for my cute stamp......
I used Peachy Keen Stamps, PK~114 Hot Diggity Dog set along with the matching SVG set and of course cut it out using my Cameo. I stamped the image onto the svg cut out and then 3 more times on the matching digital papers and kraft cardstock. Then paper pieced the cut and colored in the cook's skin and shoes using my copic markers.
Here is a close-up of the fun burgers. I again used the matching svg, cut and stamped the burgers and then colored them in using a mix of copic markers as well as the Tombow Deep Tone colored pencils. I also added some white gel pen "seeds" and popped the burgers up on the plate using some foam pop dots.

So there you have it. I hope you like it! Since my hubs is such an awesome cook, and loves to grill, he is the lucky recipient of this card, signed from my boys :)
Thanks so very much for stopping my and have a GREAT rest of your Sunday!!!

Don's forget to stop by tomorrow for a brand new The Kraft Journal challenge as well as the winner from the 3GJ Birthday Blog Hop. If you haven't hopped yet you have until tonight to be entered to win some awesome prizes. Here is the link to my post.

Happy Flag Day.......{Trendy Twine}

Good Morning Everyone!!
It is my DT day on the Trendy Twine blog and
I have another fun treat idea to share with you using one of the special colors of the month
Stars & Stripes Trendy Twine

This has got to be one of my favorite colors, a twist of red, white, and blue...Perfect for all those patriotic projects! And if you are a blog follower of mine, you know I have been making quite a few projects over the last month using this twist.
(you can see them HERE, HERE, and HERE)

  Flag Day is on Friday and I thought I would celebrate by making a fun little treat bag using the super adorable Tiny Clear Flat Bottom Lunch Bags that you can pick up in the Trendy Twine store.
They are the perfect size to hold lots of treats...in my case I ended up filling it with some salt water taffy. There are 6 pieces in this bag but there is plenty of room to add double that! Aother the great thing about these clear bags is you can add so many different treats to them and embellish them is a variety of different ways!! The possibilities are endless!
Moving onto my topper I used my Cameo and a bracket cut file to design the actual topper. I double layered it using Navy and White card stock and then stamping my sentiment from
My Creative Time's- Many Greetings stamp set. For the heart flag, I used another file I found going through the Silhouette store and hid the actual stars that were meant to be cut out. I remembered that I just picked up some star sequins that I thought would make a great added embellishment.  I finished my topper off with a Stars and Stripes Trendy Twine bow and it is now ready to be given out :)

 Well I sure hope you have enjoyed my project! Make sure to check out the Stars and Stripes Trendy Twine along with these other awesome colors..... all on sale for the month of June!

Happy 10th Birthday......{PKS Challenge}{2nd Post}

Hi Everyone!!
For my TKJ challenge post please click HERE

Just wanted to pop in with my entry for this week's
Today is my son's 10th birthday and I made some cupcake toppers for his class treats.
I just received my June SOTM and OMG I could not wait to stamp one of those adorable new faces.... so here are the toppers!
I used Pretty Paper Pretty Ribbon Baseball & Bat Cutting Files and stamped one of the cutie sets of eyes from the new release June SOTM. After I stamped all 24 toppers, I added some stickles to his nose and then layered the baseballs on another one of Pretty Paper Pretty Ribbon's files~ Scalloped Circles Cutting File
For the back of each of the toppers I added my happy birthday message...
Didn't they turn out cute???? They were a HUGE hit with the kids, that was for sure :)

Well that is all I have for you....Off to spend the rest of the night with the family and make some homemade ice cream with the birthday boy!
Have a great night and I will be back in a few days with another project!

Dad, You're Reel Great.......... {The Kraft Journal}

Good Morning and Happy Monday everyone!!!
It is time for a new challenge over at

This week's challenge is...
Just For Him
Since Father's Day is just around the corner I made this card based on the sketch from Die Cutting Divas
for my kids to give to their dad.
It has been a while since I played along with their challenges and I really liked this sketch so hopefully you will like my take on it
So now I will walk you though all the fun products I used :)  I started with a Brown Kraft Cardstock base and added designer papers from the All About a Boy paper pack from Echo Park. (Like it???? I picked it up HERE at Annie's Paper Boutique). I picked up this fun stamps from Paper Smooches called  My Guy a while back and think I have only used one of the sentiments a few times so I knew I wanted to use more from it..plus it is perfect for a Father's Day card!
The cutie little fishy is from Miss Kate Cuttable's called "Fish in Bowl" and I cut him out using my cameo...minus a few pieces so I could add my own Peachy Keen face~ from the Erkle and Merkle Face Assortment set as well as adding some Flute Corrugated Kraft Paper  for some extra texture and dimension for the fish bow. Also added to the bowl is one of my favorite products from the The Kraft Outlet, the Natural Hemp Cord. I finished my fish off with some white gel pen eyes and popped the whole bowl up using some foam squares.
Finally, I used the sentiment from the stamp set and stamped it using Versafine ink...ooohhh such a GREAT ink for getting a rich bold sentiment! I also added another favorite product from The Kraft Outet~ some Custom Fasteners. I did nothing to them except add  the clear bubble that come in the set....flows with the theme of a fish bowl, right???

So there you have it....my inspiration for this week's challenge.
I hope you have enjoyed my card and will play along with us!
As always I have linked all the supplies I used from The Kraft Outlet throughout my description.  If you have not checked out the store yet....make sure you do! There is so much available, the prices are so reasonable and shipping is super fast!!!

Peachy Goodness......{New Release Challenge Entries}

Hi everyone!!!
Well Peachy Keen Stamps had done it again and released more super adorable sets for June! I am SO excited because I just signed up for their stamp club and can not wait to get these in the mail!!! Of course these are only a few of my HUGE list of wants from the store...LOL so I am entering their challenges in the hopes of being one of the lucky winners of a GC...fingers crossed!

Over on the Peachy Keen Connection, there are 2 challenges going on right now. You can enter one or both and of course I had to enter them both...they are GREAT challenges and again...I want to win!!! ~maybe Random.org will play in my favor :)
Anyways here are the challenges and my entries....Hope you like them!!!!

 Challenge #1 Hosted by Amy...
Is a 1-2-3 Challenge. Make any project of your choice using 1 stamped image, 2 patterned papers, and 3 embellishments. Fun, fun, FUN!!!

And here is my card....

I started out with a Kraft Card stock base and used the freebie set that PK sent out during the Memorial Day weekend sale. I stamped and paper pieced it using Designer Paper from Authentique~Glory and for the stars, I ended up using my clear star gel pen and coloring them in..... it really makes them look awesome all shimmery and shiny. I finished off by coloring the stripes using my copic markers. I of course used my sewing machine as one of my embellishments and added some hemp twine from Liz's Paper Loft Boutique and a button that I found in my stash. Finally for the sentiment I used MCT~ Vintage StitchedLabel Die.
So again here are the items I used for the challenge.....
1~ Stamped image and sentiment
2~pattern papers from Authentique
3~ embellishments include button, hemp twine and sewing machine stitching

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
 Challenge #2 Hosted by Gigi......
SUNNY DAYS!
Create any project you choose, and include the sun on it.
And here is my card......
I again started out with a Kraft Card stock base and used a file from the Lori Whitlock that I picked up in the Silhouette Store~ Beach Palm Tree and Sun. She also has the perfect paper for this cut as well~ A Perfect Summer (see what I mean...perfect) so all the designer papers are from that pad. I cut my pieces, inked all the edged using Distress inks and stamped my sentiment on my island using the PK~115 Let's Ketchup stamp set and the cutie face on the sun from the PK~173 Great Vibes Robots stamp set. Once I had my idea for the layout, I ran my mat through my sewing machine in a random pattern and attached it to my card front.  All the pieces were then glued down for the exception of the face which I popped up. I thought something was missing from my "scene" so I used the cute cooler, also from the Let's Ketchup set and the matching SVG file for this set. I inked the pieces, paper pieces a bit and then popped that up on the island.
So there you have it....both of my entries for their challenges....I hope you have enjoyed my cards and thanks so much for stopping by!!
Have a GREAT Friday everyone!!!
Look Who's 10....{Trendy Twine}
Good Morning Everyone!!
It is a special DT day for me on the Trendy Twine blog and
I have a fun treat idea to share with you using one of the special colors of the month
Berries Jubilee Trendy Twine
 it is a great mix of navy and red Trendy Twine perfect for just about anything....
and it is on sale all month!
So for my project
I am getting a jump start on my son's 10th birthday party and and wanted to make a cute treat that he could give to some of his party guests.
He is a HUGE bubble gum lover so my project is right up his alley!
We always tend to forget that sometimes simple can really make a great project and I hope you agree that this is one of them!
I used 2 of the clear candy boxes
(did you know that Anne's Paper Boutique carried them?? Well now you do...LOL!)
and filled them with some Red/White and Blue gumballs. These boxes are PERFECT for holding the small bulk gumballs and jackpot for the kids because I only picked out the colors I wanted for my project and the rest they get!
Next for my sentiment I used My Creative Time~Scallop and Stitched Circle Dies along with the All Around Birthday Time stamp set and added them to white and navy card stock. I punched a small hole in the scalloped die cut, popped up the circle to add more dimension and it was ready to be added to my clear box. I then wrapped my Berries Jubilee Trendy Twine several times around the clear box and added my sentiment tag tied with a big bow.
So here is what they look like.....Fun project right??? And very easy to make! The great thing about these clear boxes is you can add so many different treats to them and embellish them is a variety of different ways!!
So what do you think??? My son already wanted to dig into one....but he has to wait until Monday...on his birthday!
 Well I sure hope you have enjoyed my project! Make sure to check out the Berries Jubilee along with these other awesome colors..... all on sale for the month of June!
You can see them all HERE at the store!
