Peachy Keen Stamps/Miss Kate Cuttables Holiday Co-Hop

Good Morning and welcome to the
Holiday Co-Hop!
We have a week filled with wonderful
Holiday projects created by the talented and amazing designers from both teams!

We recently had a few days off for some bad weather that hit our area. There were parts that received up to 7 feet...yes 7 feet of snow. Where I live, just north of this area we got nothing. Well a little dusting but that is about it. My kids had 4 days off from school and they didn't have any snow to play in. So when I saw this CUTE penguin from the Burr, It's Cold set, I knew I had to pair him up with the sentiment from the new PKS set~ Faceless Happy Snow Day Characters
To make my card, which is a 4 1/2 x 4 1/2 size, I started with a kraft cardstock base, added a layer of white cardstock and then some pretty striped designer paper from DCVW. I die cut it using the 4 x 4 Journal Die & More set from My Creative Time and then stamped the sentiment using the new PKS set PK~1452.
Next I cut the adorable penguin and used coordinating paper for his hat and scarf from the same paper pad from DCVW. I used the newly released PK~1447 Happy Penguin Couples Face Assortment for his face which I then colored in using a mix of copic and chalk ink. He was then popped up onto the front of my card using some foam pop dots.
To finish my card off, I added some die cut snowflakes from MCT~Winter Flake Dies and some sparkly enamel dots to the center.

You are Sweet....Face Day w/PKS {Post #2}

~If you are looking for the My Creative Time Day 1 of sneaks please click the picture~

Good Morning Everyone!!!
Hope you all had a GREAT weekend!!!
The weather was beautiful here, perfect for my son Parker's travel baseball tournament as well as my son Casey's travel soccer tournament! Whew...what a busy weekend but non the less AWESOME! Both boys played their hearts out!

Here are some pictures from the weekend......

Parker catching~ the position he LOVES to play the most! And to brag just a little....he is VERY good at it too :)

He is so cute when he is at bat :) LOVE that little slugger!!! He even pitched too. Here is he warming up with the hubs!

And here is my oldest...Casey had the Lancaster Soccer Tournament Fri~Sun. I was able to catch a few pictures from the game on Sat. He is the goalie so he is pictured in the center :)
Such a fun bunch of kids!

And here he is in net. They have one more game on Tuesday and then the season is over for them. It sure went by FAST!!

**********************
Now onto my projects....
It is my turn to share a "Face Day" project over on the Peachy Keen Stamps Blog

I made a set of "Just Because" cards and I have to say I think they are super cute :)
I wanted to keep the cards on the simple side to really showcase the adorable PK faces and sentiment.  I used pattern paper from Lawn Fawn as by color theme...and I just realized while writing up my post that these fit into the current PKS Color
Challenge that is going on right now (there is also a sketch that you could use as well....come on everyone~I would LOVE to see you play along!)

Here is how I made these.....
I started my cards out using a Kraft Cardstock base and layering both white cardstock and pattern paper. For a little more detail, I did run the mats through my sewing machine for a nice even border.
Next I used my Silhouette and a Miss Kate Cuttable file~Cute Popsicles to cut out 4 different Popsicles in different colors. I hid the face that comes with the file so I could add my PKS face.
Once all the layers were cut and assembled, I stamped on my PK face using one of my favorite sets~ PK~1300 Sweet & Innocent Face Assortment.

I just love adding a cute PKS face to my projects! I highlighted the face a bit by adding chalk to their cheeks and some white gel pen freckles. I also colored in their eyes with my white gel pen as well.
Once all the faces were stamped, I added some matching Trendy Twine in Twisted Lime, Blue Berry, Strawberry Cupcake and Lemon Tart to each of the Popsicle sticks. Popped them up onto my card fronts and my cards were completed.
One thing I forgot to mention...before adding my Popsicles, I did stamp my sentiment. This one comes from the PK 1398~Circus Treats set.

So there is my Face Day project for today. I really hope you have enjoyed these cuties!

Peachy Keen Stamps/Miss Kate Cuttables

Good Morning and Welcome to the Peachy Keen Stamps/ Miss Kate Cuttables Co~Hop!
PKS-MKC Co-Event banner
I love Miss Kate Cuttables and forget that I have them when it comes to making cards and projects.... Matched up with the totally ADORABLE PKS and well....the results are so much fun!! It has been such a great few days of inspiration with both of the teams but there is more to go!
Today I used the adorable Chocolate Easter Bunny and made a tag...Hope you like it!
I started my tag using My Creative Time's~ Tag Dies and designer paper from Peebles~Lazy (Front Porch collection). After cutting out my bunny, I stamped her face (well his eyes only) using PKS~ August SOTM. I colored her eyes in using my white gel pen and added some stickles to her nose. Love that cute face....dont you?
I finished her up by adding a MCT Flower Stitched Button Die to her ear with some Totally White Trendy Twine.
The sentiment that I added to the bottom of my tag is from PKS~Baby Easter Bunny stamp set. Such an adorable stamp set! I then added some enamel dots in the matching grey, some pretty white ruffled ribbon and some more Trendy Twine in Stormy

Dad, You're Reel Great.......... {The Kraft Journal}

Good Morning and Happy Monday everyone!!!
It is time for a new challenge over at

This week's challenge is...
Just For Him
Since Father's Day is just around the corner I made this card based on the sketch from Die Cutting Divas
for my kids to give to their dad.
It has been a while since I played along with their challenges and I really liked this sketch so hopefully you will like my take on it
So now I will walk you though all the fun products I used :)  I started with a Brown Kraft Cardstock base and added designer papers from the All About a Boy paper pack from Echo Park. (Like it???? I picked it up HERE at Annie's Paper Boutique). I picked up this fun stamps from Paper Smooches called  My Guy a while back and think I have only used one of the sentiments a few times so I knew I wanted to use more from it..plus it is perfect for a Father's Day card!
The cutie little fishy is from Miss Kate Cuttable's called "Fish in Bowl" and I cut him out using my cameo...minus a few pieces so I could add my own Peachy Keen face~ from the Erkle and Merkle Face Assortment set as well as adding some Flute Corrugated Kraft Paper  for some extra texture and dimension for the fish bow. Also added to the bowl is one of my favorite products from the The Kraft Outlet, the Natural Hemp Cord. I finished my fish off with some white gel pen eyes and popped the whole bowl up using some foam squares.
Finally, I used the sentiment from the stamp set and stamped it using Versafine ink...ooohhh such a GREAT ink for getting a rich bold sentiment! I also added another favorite product from The Kraft Outet~ some Custom Fasteners. I did nothing to them except add  the clear bubble that come in the set....flows with the theme of a fish bowl, right???

So there you have it....my inspiration for this week's challenge.
I hope you have enjoyed my card and will play along with us!
As always I have linked all the supplies I used from The Kraft Outlet throughout my description.  If you have not checked out the store yet....make sure you do! There is so much available, the prices are so reasonable and shipping is super fast!!!

Thanks so much for stopping by and hope you have a GREAT Monday!!

GREAT deals on these gorgeous spring colors!!!

Now onto my project.....
(picture my treat box filled with flower seeds.....I didn't have any on hand when photographing my project)
I made a a flower card/gift box using the adorable freebie file Ruthie over at September Ninth shared at Christmas time~ here is the link to her original post~thanks Ruthie!!!
I started out with the The Kraft Outlet kraft cardstock and designer papers from My Minds Eye~ Playdate paper stack. After all the pieces were cut and adhered to the card base, I ran the side , card/tag part through my sewing machine. Couldn't help it...love the way the stitching looks :)
The sentiment is from My Creative Time~Hello Spring stamp set and I added some yellow stickles to that as well as the yellow brad
Next it was onto making my flower.....this is a total scrap lift from my friend Deb..she made a GREAT tutorial on how to make these twine flowers...you can check it out HERE she uses the "other" twine...LOL...but this gorgeous flower is using Lemon Tart Trendy Twine.
I added a button to the center using the new stitched button dies from My Creative Time.
The stem is part of the flower cut from Miss Kate Cuttables~ doesn't it look GREAT with that twine flower top???
Finally here is what the tag looks like...plenty of room to write a message. I couldn't leave it plain so I stamped another sentiment from My Creative Time~ Bloom Where You are Planted stamp set and then added some yellow stickles.
What do you think????
Now don't forget to check out what the rest of the Design Team has created today

over on the Trendy Twine Blog!

I would LOVE to see you play along in our challenge
