Thank you card

This is a quick post..it is late, I am tired and I am trying to play catch up here and on FB
We had nice weather today so we were outside all day working around the yard.
I planted my sugar snap peas, tilled the garden (actually my husband did that..I watched :)) and covered the garlic bed with fresh soil. Plus ran between playdates with the boys, swimming lessons and baseball practice it was a FULL day. It is always nice to feel like we accomplished something on the weekend!!
I made a really easy to do Thank you card.
I used a thank you stamp from the dollar bin and stamped it several times on kraft paper.
I attached a tag with another thank you sentiment and popped it up with foam dots. Added some twine and alittle ink doodle and it was complete.

Hi Buddy :)

Hi blogging buddies :)
It's Friday and you know what that means? The weekend. Yahoo!!
This weekend was supposed to be opening weekend for baseball..opening ceremonies tomorrow and a game tomorrow afternoon. It has rained so much this past few weeks that Clarence had to cancel tomorrow and reschedule for next weekend. :( My son was so looking forward to playing.
Anyways over at Bugaboo Stamps it is their Freebie Friday.Click the link  for Catch the Bug Challenge and pick up this super cute digi. It just so happened that I was thinking baseball too so this is the perfect digi :)
I colored them in with my copics in my son's team colors. They are the Nationals so their shirts and hats are red with navy, gold and white lettering.
I added my very first ever rosette...oh my how much fun are these to make :) and I stamped the sentiment with Notes For a Friend stamps by Stampendous.
I am going to enter them into the following Challenge:
Sweet Sketch Wednesday-Sketch Challenge #99
Paper Cutz Challenge #89- Anything Goes

Thanks for stopping by and "catch" you all tomorrow

"There is No One Like You"---Butterfly Card

Hi everyone!
This is my later than normal post and project. I was able to attend Anne of Green Gables at the University of Buffalo with my son and the 2nd grader today and then we had swimming and baseball practice.
I was all ready to come and post this after dinner when my husband went outside to work on a problem with his car. Unfortunately what we thought was a simple fix turned out to be a HUGE problem and now the tow truck is towing the car :(
He has talked about getting a new car for a while now...guess we will be car shopping sooner than later

But enough about me..here is my cute post for today. I wanted to make a card for a couple of challenges and of course one project turned into two projects and so on. I think when I make a card for a Challenge I need to try and do one at a time. Then move on to the next.
This was actually a pretty simple card. I used paper from K&Company's Confetti pack and the butterfly is from Create a Critter. Lots of color!!
The sentiment is from Hero Arts-Thinking of You stamp set.
This card will be entered into the following Challenge:
The Paper Variety--Polka Dots

Happy Mother's Day

Good Morning Blogging Buddies! Hope everyone is having a GREAT day!
With Mother's Day right around the corner I had to get a jump on my cards
This one was created with the Cindy Loo cartridge and some coordinating  K&Company Paper-Faded China Paper Pad.
The flower was cut at 4" and the border was cut at 5". I used the frame from that cart and hid the inside using my gypsy.
I inked around all the cuts and added a glittery brad to the center of the flower.
Inside I stamped "Happy Mother's Day.

I am entering this card into the following Challenges:
Cricut Cardz Challenge #72- Mother's Day
Cooking with Cricut #27- Spring Flowers

My 1st Waterfall Card--Happy Birthday

Hi bloggers!

This is going to be a super short post because the Sabres are playing right now but I wanted to share one of my projects I made today.

My 1st waterfall card and it was so much fun to make!
I used Inkadinkaclings-Cupcakes by Inkadinkado and colored them with my copics. The paper is from K&Company Confetti Pack. I found one of many tutorials on how to make these here. It is a quick 5 minute video that is great!

Also I have a quick question...for any and all of you who make and sell cards....how much do you sell them for? I have several requests for cards but am unsure as to how much is fair. Any insight would be GREAT!

Have a GREAT night and GO SABRES!!

Ain't No Sunshine When Your Gone

Happy Monday Blogging Buddies!
I hope you all had a GREAT Easter...ate too much chocolate and got to spend lots of family time together!

We did here and it was great....my nephew (8months) came over for his first Easter and he had a blast with my two boys (7 and 10 yrs). We gave him his Easter basket and inside was an egg in the shape of a basketball. There was chocolate in it of course but I think that was done not so much for Calab but for my sister :) By the end of the night he was chasing the basketball around the kitchen with my boys and playing hockey with it. It was so cute and such a blast to watch my boys interact with their baby cousin and play so well with him :)

You tend to forget how fast kids grow up and I know every time I look at either one of my boys, like really look at them they change so much :( Well enough of the mushy stuff here is card I made to enter into a few challenges.

This is a Bugaboo Stamp and she is from the Bugaboo Angels series. Isn't she sweet?!?

She was colored with copics in the following colors:
BG70, G24,G40,YG61,Y17,Y21,YR30,BV00,BV02,E33,E35,E37, RV29
Where the rain fell is Glossy Accents to add some more dimensions.
The red/pink polka dot paper is Colorbok and the rainbow paper is a free download from Get Funky!
The sentiment is also from Bugaboo Stamps and the Bugaboo Angels
I added some stitching around the outside and around the sentiment which was punched out using my 2" circle punch.
Navy ribbon is from Elements

This card is being entered into the following challenges:
Get Funky-Spots and Stripes
CropStop Challenge #16-Show me a Rainbow
Paper Playtime- Challenge #44- Friends
Card Cupids Blog-Use a Punch

" Just Droppin' In"

What started out to be a crummy day turned into a BEAUTIFUL spring day here in Buffalo. It is about time the weather gets nice, it stops snowing and the sun and warm air come. We had just that today, except for the little wind it was GREAT.

We got alot done outside...the chickens got to free range for a few hours and the kids were happy with their play dates.

I also got some cards done and this is one that I just finished.

I just LOVE Bugaboo Stamps and their digis. They are too cute and so much fun to color.
This is from the More Turtles collection...isn't he just the cutest?!

He was colored with my copics and I added some Glossy Accents to the raindrops.
I stamped Just Droppin' In from Stampenidous Changito BDay Stamp set inside a bottle cap. That was also covered in Glossy Accents
I  made some skittles in Sail Boat Blue, stitched around the outside and added some ribbon, twine and a flower.
My picture is not the greatest because it was taken at night but the turtle is popped up with foam dots.

So he will be entered into the following Challenges:
Catch the Bug Challenge- Singing in the Rain
Peachy Keen Stamps -Sketch Challenge 50 w/a Twist

Happy Birthday Adam...Pokemon Style :)

Today is Adam's Birthday. He is now 6 and he is the son of my closest friend.
For his birthday he wanted a Pokemon Notebook to write all his secrets, battle plans and everyday 6 year old things in.
After searching the web for Pokemon SVG files I came across Mardenz blog. There are GREAT files and she did have a few Pokemon ones.
So I made him his own special notebook and matching gift bag.
This is the first time I have decorated a gift bag and I really love the way it came out!
Anyways the notebook is a composition book covered in black cardstock. I cut each of the four pokemon through SCAL as well as his name.
The book was missing something when my son told me that each of the characters stood for something....that is how the fire, water, electric and earth came to be. They are stickers and added the perfect finish to the book.

That is all I have for tonight..for some reason I am really tired and completely unmotivated to do much of anything. Have a great night and see you all tomorrow :)

It's Another Whimsical Wednesday Challenge!

It's that time again...A Whimsical Wednesday Challenge Day.
I hope you all have been playing along.
There are great prizes to be won, so many inspirational projects to see and you have 2 whole weeks to link up.

If you are new to Whimsical Wednesdays we have a scrapbooking challenge the first Wednesday of the month, and then other paper crafting projects each Wednesday for the rest of the month.
This week is Challenge #3.  The theme is:
"Spring has Sprung in our Homes" - Create a Home Decor project with a spring theme.
For my project I made a CD Mini Album/Birthday Gift. What a Fun Project.

I was you-tube watching and came across this video on how to make these mini albums.
We all know there are CD cases laying around the house. I thought I could make this album and have it double as a birthday gift for my mother-in-law as well.

So here is how it is done
You need double sided paper for the front and back covers. The dimensions for those are:
4 7/8 x 4 3/4 for the front cover
6 x 4 5/8 for the back cover scored at 1/4" on both short sides
2 pieces of matching paper for the inside measuring 4  x 12 and scored at 4 and 8. These will then be folded accordion style and attached to one another to make one long accordion piece.
1 piece of cardstock for the inside mat measuring 4 1/4 x 4 1/4. This will be attached to the inside back cover where you will then place the accordion pages.

Once everything is attached you can decorate any way you want.
I made a circle tab with the coordinating paper as the pull. I also added mats on every page.
The gift card holder measures
3 x 3 5/8 scored 1/2" on the bottom--this is the back
2 x 4 3/4 scored 1/2" on each side- front. I used my circle punch to make the opening tab as well.

I hope you like my project and think about giving it a try! It was super easy...lots of fun and would make a GREAT gift. I know my mother in law loved it :)
Just think about how cute this would look on a coffee table...made to match the recipients decor.

Please be sure to hop over to the Whimsical Wednesday Challenge Blog  to see what the rest of the Design Team has created for your inspiration. You will find the link there to enter your project for this challenge, and the guidelines. We can’t wait to see what you will create.

Thanks for visiting

It's a Glittery Birthday :)

Uh Oh...I have found something else I love doing....heat embossing.
I have watched so many videos on how to do it...very simple for sure and I thought I would give it a go.
I used a Hero Arts Stamp and black embossing powder. Then I glittered away with Martha Stewart Glitter. I used my zig pen to glue the glitter. It seems to be the only small glue adhesive I had to make sure the glitter stayed inside the candles.
Again another simple birthday card but I love how simple it is. Fun to do...Fun to emboss and Fun to give away :)

Don't forget tomorrow is another Whimsical Wednesday Challenge Day! Make sure you stop back to see all the DT projects. You will LOVE them

Triangle Tri-Fold Card featuring Anya and a Stamp Question

Hi bloggers!
My kiddos are on vacation this week and I was really hoping for some nice weather so they could get outside, shoot some hoops and blow off some steam.
That has completely backfired! It was snowing here...and not a fun snow...a wet/rain like snow so playing outside was not going to happen.
So instead I took the boys to the movies with a friend and her kiddos and we went to see Hop.
I have to say I was really glad we went to see this movie. It was so cute and funny. The adults liked it and so did the kids. Alot better than the last kids movie we went to see Yogi Bear...boy did that one STINK!

Anyways my card today is a triangle tri-fold featuring the free digi from The Greeting Farm..Anya.
Isn't she so precious?
I colored her with my copics and the whole card measures 3 x3.

I really like how easy this card is to make...now if I could get the measurements to make it bigger :)

Ok so for my question...How do you store your stamps, both wooden and clings? I am trying to figure out the best way to store them so they are functional and easy to use. Any suggestions would be GREATLY appreciated.

That is all for tonight...have a great one and see you tomorrow :)

Happy Birthday! Digi Image and a BIG Giveaway

Good Morning/ Good almost afternoon :)
Can't believe the weekend is almost over and even though we are all getting over being sick, I was hoping to be able to get outside and do some garden work.
Unfortunalty is rainned really hard all say yesterday and it is raining/snowing here today.
So good for getting outside!

Anyways last week over at Birthday Sundae's Challenge Blog I won a set of Digi Stamps from Designed2Delight.
I have been meaning to make something with one of the images and I finally had the time to do so. A Happy Birthday card. Again the image is from Designed2Delight a very cute present which I colored with my copics. I embossed the base with the birthday folder and the purple backgound to the present is embossed with the swiss dots folder. I added pop dots to the image for alittle more dimentions.
I have to say I love the way cards come out that are simple.

Also I wanted to let everyone know there is a BIG...HUGE Giveaway over at Bearly Mine Crafts.
Make sure you head over and see all the prizes!

"Owl" Thank you

What a day! The weather has been crappy here all day. Rain and wind and more rain.
The good thing was I was able to hang out and craft all day.
I got lots done and have been working on some projects that have been started and haven't had the time to complete.
I picked up this stamp on clearance from Michaels not too long ago and have yet to stamp with it. I love this owl and decided to try and paper piece it.
The paper is from Recollections and and the stamp is Hero Arts.
I think he came out pretty cute!
Plus I love having extra thank you notes around. It seems when you make your own cards, you tend to give out more just because, or thank you, or birthday cards on time :)
Thanks for visiting and see you all tomorrow.
I hope to be able to participate in all the fun blog hops and catch up on everyones posts.

Thinking of you---another try at copics

Hi all my blogging buddies!
Hope everyone had a GREAT Friday and is ready for the weekend. The kids are now officially off school for the next week and hopefully everyone will stay healthy!
Pretty crazy day here..that is why this post is later than usual. We had Easter parties at the boys school and I coordinated my youngest's party. Me and my friend Chris thought it would be a good idea to have an Easter egg hunt with both of our classes. WOW is all I can say...it was a blast, very crazy and since we used the whole school for the hunt very exhausting :) The best part about all our hard work coordinating this...The kids LOVED it and had so much fun. Makes it all worth it in the end.
Now on to my card for today....I made a simple "just because" or should I say "thinking of you" card
This was another sample image we received at my intro copics class. I brought it home to color with the copics I purchased and I just LOVE how I could pick my paper according to my marker colors and coordinate everything so well. There is no special recipient of this card yet but it is always nice to have one just in case.
Have a great night and see you all tomorrow :)

A Special Friend Card---My 1st Attempt with Copics

Good Morning Blogging buddies!!
Today I truely feel blessed that my family is healthy...besides the occasional cold...we are all healthy.

I have a very dear friend that is suffering right now with the devil!
She is battling breast cancer, that scary word that us women all fear...and it just seems that every time I talk to someone else they know of a dear friend who is battling breast cancer also. In the past 6 months I have known of 3 people...2 very good friends. One is recovering and the other is beginning her fight. I know my friend will fight and win but it just hurts as a friend to see her suffering.

I put this card together to give to her. As I posted yesterday I took a beginners copic class and just fell in love with these markers! I want them all!!! This is one of the class samples that we colored.
Aren't these two just precious?! I think I did pretty well for my first time.
I hope she likes it!
I can not remember the card fold name and it is almost as big as a tall card ( mine is 7 1/2 x 3 3/4).
If I find out I will update this :)

Have a GREAT day...

Wednesday, April 13, 2011

Hello :)

Hi all my blogging friends! I had a GREAT day today! I took a basic copic beginners class today at Buffalo Stamps and Stuff. Let me just tell you I am in LOVE! These markers are awesome! I learned so much in the class, basic marker techniques and got to play with all the class markers. Sharon who ran the class is so knowledgeable and it was so much fun! They are sure a step above the Bic markers I had been coloring with. And yes I did buy some...more than some to be honest. I was pointed in the direction of the good starter colors and I know I will be purchasing more. Practice..Practice..Practice I have been told and you know what,  I love coloring so that is not going to be a challenge for me. I did color a really cute image that I will make into a card tomorrow but for now I am posting a cute "Just because" card.

I used my favorite cartridge..Create a Critter to cute the frog out. He was cut at 3" and the card is a 5x5 base. You know you can never have too many "just because" cards. The sentiment was a 1$ bin grab.

I can't wait to stamp some more images and get to coloring....have a great night and see you all tomorrow!!

mini album pages...continued from yesterday

Hello Blogging buddies!
I spent another day home with my sick kiddo but I think he is on the upward climb to getting better! While he vegged all day I finished my mini's just in time to pass them along to the lucky kiddo's who are going to see Mickey!
they are going on a Pirate Adventure..so there are spots for photo's, autographs, or trinkets and a journaling tag

Mickey and Goofy...:)

I did woody for the one book and my friend did Buzz for the other

the kids are big Star Wars fans so Yoda has his own spot!

Oh and they are visiting the new Harry Potter Attractions. I think the boys are most excited about this!

So there you have it my completed mini file folder album. I wanted to keep it quite simple so there is plenty of spaces for journaling and autographing and pictures. It was a blast to do and I already have a request from my oldest for a Harry Potter Album. I think he wants to make a spell book...look out!!

Sick kiddo at home and a Disney Mini

Wow what a Monday! I have a sick kiddo home with strep again and after all day of laying low we went to the doctors to get the official diagnosis and an antibiotic to hopefully knock this out of his system for good! I feel so bad for him, he is hurting and all I can hope for is the medicine to start working and for him to start feeling better.

I was able to be crafty today and I have been working on a mini file folder album for friends of ours who are vacationing in Florida for Easter break.
Here is the front of both albums. Yes they are the same but with each boy's name. I even put some hidden mickeys around....can you find them ??? I used glossy accents in the names to make some mickey ears. Cute huh?

There are 6 pages in this album and I have 2 more to decorate. My girlfriend is helping me also on this so I will complete my part and hopefully pass it along tomorrow to her. I will post other pictures tomorrow...I am so tired tonight.

Have a Great night and see you all tomorrow.

Dustin Pike--It's a Party Challenge

Good Morning! I can not believe it is Sunday and the weekend is almost over. It just started...well not really... but we were lucky yesterday it was BEAUTIFUL here! It has been so long since we had a nice day where we could spend the whole day outside! It is going to be again today with a small chance of rain but still nice enough to hang outside.
My wonderful husband is building me a greenhouse, so excited!! So day 2 and we will do some more. We didn't get a fancy kit, just used what we had around the house and when it is done...I will post some pictures. It's all about saving money, recycling and re purposing right?!?!

Well enough about that..Here is a cute b-day card I made with a free digi from DoodleDragon---Dustin Pike is having a birthday challenge and this is what I made.

The giraffe is the free digi and the sentiment was stamped on with memento ink from Fiskars Birthday Cheer stamp set. It just seemed to fit perfectly in the space...almost like it was meant to be :). The paper is DCVW Animal Crackers stack. Love that paper!!
Well I hope you like my card...
Have a GREAT day and I'll catch you all tomorrow

Blog Award, a Quick Peep's Card, and a Copic Question

I received a blog award the other day from Minta's Creations and I haven't had time to pass it along. First a very big Thanks to Minta's Creations for this award!
The rules are to tell 8 things about ourselves and to pass this award to 8 blogs that we love.
Since I love all my new blogging friends and it is so hard to pass it along to just 8, I am awarding this to ALL bloggers!
For my 8 things about myself:

1. I have 2 different color eyes when I cry...one green and one brown. Sometimes they are like that when I am tired also :)
2.I am totally addicted to this blogging world.
3. I have 2 younger sisters, one who makes jewelry which I plan to showcase in the near future!
4. I love going to the casino and playing penny slots
5. I would love to start selling my creations...just to be able to turn around and buy more crafting stuff
6. My nickname growing up was JJ for Jessica Jill...never liked it and still don't!
7. I love to read!
8. Love to watch movies!!

I did make a card today...a quick Easter Peep's card. I recently picked up this really cute die from Buffalo Stamps and Stuff and had to come home and give it a try. I cut my peeps out of glitter paper and glued them on white cardstock. I inked the outside with pink ink and the sentiment is a dollar bin find. The background paper is a scrap I had laying around (I have alot of those lately LOL)
I  made this for my really good friend for Easter. Hope she likes it.

Now on to my question...I am taking a beginner copic class on Wednesday. I don't have to bring any markers, they supply all the samples to use but I want to know what are the top 10-20 colors a beginner should have to start out. I know there are 100's of different colors but the basic colors so I can begin coloring. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Have a great night and see you all tomorrow :)

Congrats Wedding Card

Good evening blogger buddies! This is a late post due to a very busy day. I had a sick kiddo home who was not contagious we found out after a doctors visit which was good. While we were on the other side of town I figured I would stop into my favorite stamping store and I signed up for a beginner copic class for next week. I have seen so many amazing projects with copics so I thought I could give it a try. Not sure how involved I will go with them but I would love to learn the basics.
Then tonight the school had their spring social which includes the very famous cake walk. They had soooo many cakes this year and the kids always have a blast trying to win. After playing for 2 hours we were on the last...yes last walk of the night and my son won!

Anyways I was asked to make a wedding card for a good friend to pass along. They wanted something simple so here is my creation. The champagne glasses are cut with the wedding cartridge at 4". The rest of the card is simply matting. I just stamped my image on the bottom and tada! my card

Link up Love Party

CropStop Sketch Challenge #14

Another Challenge post...and another Easter card for a friend to give her kids and grandkids.

This card is for the CropStop Sketch Challenge.
Here is my card. I know I have said this before but I just LOVE the Create a Critter Cartridge. This bunny is just too cute. Instead of using the cut out eyes I added some googly ones. I also added some Stickles to the nose, cheeks, and ears. The stamp was one I found in the 1$ bin at Michaels.
Over all I think a cute card :)

Challenges:
CropStop- Challenge #14 Sketch

Kich N Bleus Challenge #1 Easter Card

Good Morning blogging friends!
I have the first of hopefully a few posts today.
I am trying to catch up on Challenges and make some more Easter Cards.

This Easter Card is the Kich N Bleus Challenge #1.
There is even a free digi image which I used to make this S-Fold card.
She is cute right?

I don't own any fancy markers so she was colored with Bic Markers. I paper pieced the egg using coordinating paper to the background.
The tag was made tracing an existing tag I had and I ran it through my cuttlebug. There is also a tag inside that is simply stamped "Happy Easter"

Again she is being entered for the following challenge:
Kich N Bleus- Use a Digi Image

Whimsical Wednesday Challenge #1--Scrapbook LO w/Critter or Bug

Hello blogging buddies and welcome!!
Today is our first Whimsical Wednesday Challenge ! We will be having these challenges every week with each challenge staying open for two weeks!! This will give everyone LOTS of time to create and link up. You will love all the themes... they are so fun, and first up is a scrap booking challenge! They will be the first Wednesday of the month.

This weeks Challenge #1 theme is :

Make a Spring or Easter themed scrapbook LO, adding a critter or bug on it”

Here is my project...a cute and fun Easter layout.
I tried to keep this layout simple...yet every time I wanted to I thought it needed something else LOL! What do you think?

SO here is  what I did..I made the cute bunny with the Create a Critter Cartridge ( I think this is my favorite cartridge). He is cut at 5" as well as all of his layers. I also cut the basket from the same cartridge. I did run the basket through my cuttlebug for some added texture.
I cut some eggs..actually ovals with George and Basic Shapes using some scraps I had when I made my patchwork bunny card. I added some glossy accents to the eggs for the shiny effects.
Both of my mats are cut from George and Basic Shapes at 4X6".
I made the cute banner and  ran the paper through my cuttle bug again. The letters are from Cuttin' Up. I put eyelets in the corners of all pieces and strung the whole thing on some twine.
The sun is a circle again from George and Basic Shapes and cut and folded outward to make the sun. I just recently watched a tutorial on this and when I find the link I will post it here. (or if you remember please let me know so I can give the blogger the credit...because it was NOT my idea..I just borrowed it)
I added a journaling mat as well which is a stamp I recently picked up on my last Joanne's run :)
You can't really tell from the photo but the bunny is up on foam dots, the flower is up on foam dots and so is the banner. There is alot of dimension to this layout
I can't wait to fill this page with our Easter celebrations this year.

Now, make sure you go visit the Whimsical Wednesday Blog  to link up your entry and check out the sneak peeks of all the other DT's projects! You are sure to find tons of inspiration and get all the details for the Challenge #1 ! You have two weeks to link up! Can’t wait to see all your projects!

"It's Your Birthday" Card and Bottle Swap Goodies

Good Morning Blogging buddies!
I am back in the swing of things, trying to get my cards made and replenish some of the cards I have used in the past few days. I really need to make some more Easter Cards as well...so many projects so little time to get them all done :)

Here is a birthday card I just finished. I used the Bargello technique that I found on Splitcoaststamper. I have added the link here for the tutorial. It is another great way to use up scraps...which like me I am sure we all have tons!
Recipe for this card is:

Cricut Cartridge--Celebrations for the cupcake
Paper- Misc Scraps
Sentiment- stamp from Fiskars Birthday Cheer
Twine- from local stamp store
Adhesives- Foam dots, ATG gun, liquid adhesive
Stickles- multi colors for cupcake and candle

Now for some cards I made this weekend. I had a request from a friend to make some easter cards. Here is the first one I made

I was looking to make something simple but elegant. I think I accomplished it with this S-fold card.

My other card is a Joy-Fold card that I really love the way it came out.

I hope my friend loves these! As always I loved making these and I love even more giving my creations to other.

You are not going to want to miss GREAT projects by all the DT!

Since I am on both the layout and card DT I have 2 projects to share with you.
Here is my 1st of 2 projects...a Star War's Layout!

Just alittle backround info on me...We LOVE Lego's in our house! With 2 boys there are so many lego believe me when I say we could open a store!! My kids and myself LOVE building with Lego and spend many hours doing so. We decided to see if we could use the misc pieces we had and build the Death Star. We spent many many hours looking for all the pieces and then many more hours building this 3400+ piece set. Super fun and the end result...WAY COOL! My oldest was the one who actually finished the last of the build and I captured him in the process.  The layout was quite simple...I made the bricks with George and Basic Shapes but the Darth Vader...He was something else. I found a blog that showed how to make the star wars characters using PDDU. (I added the link here for those interested) I really love the way this came out!

For my 2nd project I made my very 1st Easel Card..a cute birthday boy card. If you haven't tried one of these you really should! They are fun!

The card was made using the Simply Sweet cartridge and Me and My Big Idea- Boy Paper Stack. With a few buttons I think this came out pretty cute. What do you think?

So there you have it...my 2 very different but VERY boy projects. Please be sure to visit all the blogs in the hop, the talented Design Team have some wonderful projects for you.  There is also such fun grand prizes, in order to qualify for those you must leave a comment on each blog in the hop. But before you go...I have some BLOG CANDY!! Everyone loves candy right :)

My absolute FAVORITE stamp store is town is Buffalo Stamps and Stuff and Sharon the owner was kind enough to donate a package of doors for my lucky winner. I made a card showing you want you can do with this kit. Didn't it turn out so cute! The best thing about this kit...there is enough to make 4 cards/layouts. So a HUGE thank you to Sharon for this prize.
