MCT 79th New Release Sneak Day 1....{Flower Border Die}

Good Morning and welcome to day 1 of sneaks for the
79th New Release from
My Creative Time!!
We have a great week of sneaks showcasing awesome new stamps and dies and hope you will join us in celebrating Miss Emma's 7th Birthday of MCT!

Today the DT will be showcasing the new die~
Flower Border Die
and here is my inspiration....
The card I made for todays sneak I actually gave to my MIL yesterday for Mother's Day.
It was a perfect addition to the African violets we gave her as well!
To make my card, I used a piece of pale purple cardstock ad stamped it with the Grainy Wood Background stamp for alittle added texture. I then die cut it using the Stitched Rectangular Frame die as well as the new Flower Border Die.
This set also comes with individual flowers that I die cut in white and a dark purple to layer onto the border. I filled each center with a pale yellow circle center.
I did die cut an extra flower to place above the sentiment which was stamped from the set~Springtime Smiles. Alitte green leaf behind the flower from the Stitched Pretty Flowers & Leaves Die set completed the front of my card.
To finish my card, I layered the top flower panel onto a piece of white cardstock and then layered everything onto my kraft cardstock base.

***Sneak Peek giveaway!***
We will be giving away the sets we are showcasing each day to ONE lucky winner! For example, the set we are showcasing on Wednesday, Emma will announce the winner of that on Thursday & the sets we are showcasing on Thursday, Emma will announce that winner on Friday on my blog! Wishing you a Happy Mother's Day......{MCT Too Die For Tuesday}

Good morning everyone!
I am sharing a card today for My Creative Time's
"Too Die For Tuesday"
This is where we share ideas on how to stretch your dies.
Since Mother's Day is right around the corner, I got a jump start on making my MIL her card.
She loves to color purple and here is the card I made for her....
I used lots of MCT dies for this card, and created an ombre effect using the More Stitched Edges Dies.
I started by die cutting each of the purple cardstock colors with the Stitched Rectangular Frame Die~(size medium) Then using the wave die, I cut the each of the colors to the size I wanted, making sure each piece fit into the piece next to it....like a puzzle. I was able to have the stitching on both the tops and bottoms of each panel as well as the wave stitching thought each section. The sections were then taped on the backside and a piece of foam was added to pop the whole panel up onto the white cardstock mat.
Before popping it up and adding the foam to the backside, I used the newly released set~ Thank You Mom and die cute the flower right into the panel. Since it was now the negative section, I could add the green cardstock to the backside for the stem and I popped up the purple flower onto the front. Some fun dimension as well as a pop of color.
To complete my card, I die cut the largest of the Small Treat Labels in white cardstock and stamped my sentiment using again the new release set~ Thank You Mom

What do you think of my card? I hope I gave you another idea on how to use those awesome MCT dies!!!

My Creative Time Sneak Peek Day 1

Good Morning
and
Welcome to Day 1 of sneaks for the new
My Creative Time 31st Release!
MCT April New Release

Today we are sharing projects using
Spring Wreaths and Build a Pretty Flower

I have 2 cards to share with you today....one using each of the new sets.

My first card is one I made to give my mother-in-law for her birthday. She loves the color purple and I wanted to keep the flower from the new Build a Pretty Flower set the focal point.
Using 3 stamps from the set, I stamped the petals using Dusty Concord Distress Ink and layering the the second petal stamp on top using versamark onyx black ink. I just love how these stamps layer! So pretty! Then for the stem, I used the Peeled Paint Distress ink. I did add a rhinestone to the center of the flower for a little extra sparkle and layered the sentiment using one of the new ones from the Pretty Spring Wreaths set. I added some machine stitching for the border and my card was complete.

For my next card I made a sweet Mother's Day card using the Pretty Spring Wreaths stamp set.
I used scrap papers from my every growing pile and cut a fancy border using the Fun Stitched Border Dies and attaching it to my card using a zig zag stitch. That beautiful wreath was stamped using Peeled Paint Distress ink and a few random flowers were stamped on top using Victorian Velvet Distress Ink. To finish my card off, I added some Posy Trendy Twine

So what do you think? I know you will all LOVE these new stamps! They are so much fun!!

Happy Mother's Day........{Trendy Twine Special Post}

Morning and Happy Mother's Day to all my wonderful bloggy friends!
I hope your day is packed with tons of hugs, love and maybe some crafty goodness :)
I have a special post to share with actually 2 cards that I made in honor of Mother's Day!
So along with a few of the Trendy Twine DT members we are honoring Mom's Day AND I am sharing Trendy Twine's 2 newest colors!!!
(so make sure to hop over to the Trendy Twine Blog to see what the other ladies made!)

Whoo Hoo!! Introducing
They are now available and a MUST have....well all the colors are..LOL!!!

Ok enough talking.....time to share my projects!
First up is a CAS Mother's Day card using the showcase color of the month
Tickled with Teal and the newest release Totally White
I started out with a Kraft Cardstock base and added a mat of white and Chalk Garden designer paper from Three Bugs in a Rug. To give the mat a more finished look I added some machine stitching around the border. My sentiment is from Studio G~ Best Mom set
Here is a close-up of the twine flower I made. The base is a circle of the Totally White Trendy Twine and then to add some additional color to the flower I did a double bow using the Tickled with Teal Trendy Twine.
There is my project number 1. What do you think???

Now for my next project! I wanted to play along with this week's
Peachy Keen Stamps challenge which is to make a card for Mom/Grandma.
Well what better time to post then on Mother's Day so here is card #2
I made an easel card using the card kit from My Scrap Chick
So for this card I again used a Kraft Cardstock base and scrap papers from my ever growing stash. Since the white base was a bit plain I ran it through my cuttlebug with the flower embossing folder and then stickled the centers with Cotton Candy Stickle.
That adorable little girl is from Kadoodle Bug Designs and I stamped her face using Peachy Keen Stamps~ Princess Faces.
Instead of adding the bow cuts from the file, I added some Totally White Trendy Twine bows to her hair and to her dress. I finished off the front of the card I tied a big bow using 3GJ Dress White crinkle ribbon and some Strawberry Cupcake Trendy Twine.
The inside of the card is the same as the front except I added my sentiment, again from the same Studio G~Best Mom stamp set. There were flowers from the cut file that I chose not to add to the front, that I added to a cluster on the sentiment.
What do you think???

Happy Mother's Day Card- Same Paper- 2 Cards

Good Morning Blogging buddies!!
I have 2 cards to share with you today. Both are the same papers, but with different sentiments, ribbon and sizes.
I have a habit of making a card, using only part of the paper and throwing the rest in my scrap container. This time I thought since Mother's Day is nearing I could pop out at least 2 cards with my paper and be that much closer to having my stack of Mother's Day cards completed :)
The first card is 5 x 6 1/2 and the second card is 5 x 5. The flowers are from Create a Critter..one cut at 4.5" and the other cut at 4".
The ribbon is from my stash and the sentiment is from a stamp set by Ditto -Studio G-Best Mom.
I inked around the cuts and the paper and my cards are done.
The paper is from DCVW-and the Flower was cut using coredination paper in Sassy, April Lovely, and Apple Martini.
I have enough paper left to make one more card...I just love when nothing goes to waste :)

I am entering this into the following Challenges:
Fantabulous Cricut- Challenge Me Monday #57-Mom's the Word
My Sheri Crafts- Challenge #55-Mother's Day

Happy Mother's Day

Good Morning Blogging Buddies! Hope everyone is having a GREAT day!
With Mother's Day right around the corner I had to get a jump on my cards
This one was created with the Cindy Loo cartridge and some coordinating  K&Company Paper-Faded China Paper Pad.
The flower was cut at 4" and the border was cut at 5". I used the frame from that cart and hid the inside using my gypsy.
I inked around all the cuts and added a glittery brad to the center of the flower.
Inside I stamped "Happy Mother's Day.

I am entering this card into the following Challenges:
Cricut Cardz Challenge #72- Mother's Day
Cooking with Cricut #27- Spring Flowers
