If you’re a subscriber to our Stamp of the Month club, then you’ve already received a little background about how this release came about, but for those who might not yet be subscribers, here’s a little more about this release in Kathy’s own words…

"There is a reason behind
this mixed theme.  My only grand-daughters are moving to Florida with their parents.
My daughter and son-in-law gave me this news just as I was pulling ideas together for February.  It took over my mind and soon it all kind of CLICKED!

A labor of love and from the heart, the designs this month will be perfect for so many of your creative projects that we can’t begin to name them all"

You should have arrived here from Jessica‘s Blog.
If not, you’ll want to make sure you hop back to Peachy Keen Stamps’ Blog to start from the beginning!
Missed a stop? Don’t worry, the PKS has the full hop order!

For my project I used 2 of the new release stamp sets~
Tropical Vacation Kitty Cat and Kawaii Face Assortment
With the weather being so cold lately, I needed a little sunshine and what better way then a tropical vacation~ Peachy Keen style :)

I just LOVE those Kawaii faces! Don't you??
For my kitty, I colored her with copic markers and then paper pieced her adorable bathing suit using pattern paper from Echo Park's ~A Perfect Summer.
There is a lot of dimension to my card....
My kitty was placed on a die cut from
Pretty Paper Pretty Ribbon~Scalloped Circle Cutting File and popped up using foam pop dots.
The cute surf board, also paper pieced was popped up next to my kitty :)
The fun sentiment, stamped onto My Creative Time's~Stitched Oval Die is also popped up and I added the adorable sun, stamped with her cute Kawaii face onto the edge of the sentiment.
I added a few banner pieces that I hand cut to the card and then used the Fun Stitched Edge Dies to the center card stock panel.
I hope you have enjoyed my project!!!!

Pretty Paper, Pretty Ribbons Birthday Blog Hop~ Happy Birthday Lisa!!

Good Morning and
Welcome to the Pretty Paper, Pretty Ribbons Birthday Blog Hop!!
Today we are celebrating Lisa's (owner/designer of PPPR) birthday!
HAPPY BIRTHDAY LISA!!!!
She had a plan for this hop, but we (the Design Team plus guests) have a plan of our OWN because we LOVE her!!!! ;) We are all making special birthday projects using some files from the Pretty Paper, Pretty Ribbons store AND since birthdays are all about celebrating with friends and  giving gifts, we decided to add guests to the lineup and giveaway a TON of prizes!! These awesome prizes include fun twine, stamp sets and gift certificates to some of our favorite crafty stores!! You seriously do NOT want to miss a single stop in this hop!!

If you are coming to here from Brianna's blog you are in the right place!
If you have just stumbled upon this hop, make sure to head back to
Pretty Paper, Pretty Ribbons!
But remember - and this is important! - Lisa does NOT have the correct lineup on her blog, because she doesn't know there has been a few ADDITIONS to the lineup thanks to her DT!! SURPRISE, Lisa!! :) Lisa will direct you to the correct blog, but after that please disregard her lineup!!

Now onto my project!!

I sure hope you like it!!!
Isn't this just too adorable??? I LOVE the CUTE Gator which is this week's freebie file and the fun color combo...don't you? I used a white card base and designer paper from Lilybee Designs~Persnickety paper pack. I ran the mat through my sewing machine for the zig zag pattern, but before that I added some 3GJ Witch's Brew crinkle ribbon so the ribbon was held down by the sewing. Next I used the PPPR Layered Labels 1 and the PPPR Borders 3 to make my next mat.....which became home to that adorable Gator.

Here he is up close :) I am so LOVING him and can see using him for much more than birthday items! Since his party hat come with the file but didn't have the frill (the hat is actually supposed to go behind his eyes)  I ended up adding the frill to the bottom of it using a piece from the Party Items.

Then for the sentiment I used My Creative Time~ Teeny Tag Greetings die and sentiment, a black button from my stash and some Grape Limeade Trendy Twine. So what do you think of my card???

MY HOP BLOG CANDY!!!
I am giving away a mini of the Grape Limeade Trendy Twine that I used in my project

Happy Harvest Gift Bag......{PKS Challenge}

Happy Sunday Everyone!
Hope you are all having a GREAT long Holiday weekend!!
We were going to head to our annual Labor Day Fair today but instead took the kids to get sneaker for back to school~ sounds like a fun switch~off doesn't it?? LOL!!
We WILL  head to the fair tomorrow after the Labor Day Fair in which both my son and husband are marching in for the Bulldogs~ my son's football team which my husband also helps to coach. So myself and the little one will watch from the sidelines and collect the yummy candy the kids throw and then we will walk the fair for a bit.
Anyways I was able to sneak into my craft nook to get a project done for the current
It is a gorgeous photo inspiration picture that I shared a pic down below but here is the project I made..... My inspiration for my project was the Fall colors....seeing that Fall is one of my FAVORITE times of the year I went with a fun treat bag. Hope you like it!!!
For my project I used the adorable Oval Window Treat Bag from Pretty Paper Pretty Ribbon that happened to be last week's freebie. If you missed it, Lisa has moved the bag into the $0.99 section. A steal if you ask me!! I will so be making more of these...they were super easy to put together and can be decorated for any holiday or event!

Once the bag was cut and ready to be assembled, I stamped the pumpkins from the PKS Faceless Fall set using matching designer papers all from Recollection Simply Autumn set. I decided to stamp the pumpkins twice so I could pop the center up for a little more dimension. Then using the leaf stamp from the same PKS set I stamped them on pattern green paper and popped them up under the center pumpkin oval. But before putting the pumpkins together I inked the edges with distress ink for some pop.

Then to finish my project up, I stamped my sentiment (also from the PKS Faceless Fall Fun set) onto one of the sentiment spot cut files from PPPR using Memento Tuxedo Black ink. I should have stamped it using a richer ink...maybe versamark...even after heat setting the ink on the designer paper it still doesn't look quite right :(

Supplies Used:
Paper~ Recollections
Simply Autumn
Stamps~ Peachy Keen Stamps
Dies/Cuts~ Pretty Paper Pretty Ribbon
Other~ Distress Ink
Gathered Twigs, Rusty Hinge, Peeled Paint

So there is my project! What do you think??? Hope you liked it!!
Thanks for stopping by and have a GREAT night!!!!

Back to School Notebook.......

Happy Saturday everyone!!
I hope you are all enjoying the weekend so far!
I was able to sneak into my craft room today to make another Back to School project for a few challenges....
With my kiddo's heading back in alittle over a week, we are busy getting school supplies, haircuts and all those last minute school clothes in between playdates, football and baseball~ Yikes it seems like there is never enough time in the day to get it all done. And I am planning our welcome back luncheon for the teachers~ I think I need a vacation from our summer vacation.... LOL!!

Anyways for my project I was inspired by
Candace from Paper Crafts by Candace
to make a mini notebook based on the one she made HERE but instead using
My Creative Time~ Stitched Journal Die and making it Back to School themed.
Here is what I came up with.... Wouldn't this look adorable clipped to a backpack and used to doodle in? Or given to the teacher on the first day of school???

This was such an easy project to make and put together! I die cut a bunch of the Journal cards in white card stock and then another using the matching designer paper. Then using my cameo, I cut the apple, eliminating the face only because I  knew that the label die would go right through it. After all my pieces were put together for the apple, I attached it to the front journaling card. I die cut the label die and stamped the sentiment and popped that up on top of the apple.  Using my hole punch I added a hole to the top corner for the binder clip, then tied some coordinating 3GJ crinkle ribbon on the ring. Finally I finished off my notebook by stamping the date and adding some green candie's to the label die.

Supplies Used:
Paper~ American Crafts~Mayberry paper pack
Kraft, White (stash)
Stamps~ My Creative Time~ Just Simply Live & Tab Notes
Cuts/Dies~ My Creative Time~ Stitched Journal Die & Vintage Stitched Label Die
Pretty Paper Pretty Ribbon~ Apple from the Back 2 School Cutting File
Embellishments~ 3GJ Crinkle Ribbon~ Latte, Holly Berry, Mistletoe, Gold Crown
Binder clip, white gel pen, green candi's

So there is my finished project. What do you think?? My kids are always writing or drawing on the school bus and I know one of them will want me to make one that matches their favorite color plus something Minecraft related I am sure.......plus they can be put together in no time!!
Thanks so much for stopping by and have a GREAT rest of your day!!

Head of The Class.......{Back to School w/PKS}

Morning Everyone!!!
(If you are looking for my Trendy Twine GIVEAWAY please click HERE)

I am back to share another Peachy Keen card, this one for
This challenge, hosted by Cassandra is:
Back To School
~Create a card or layout using your Peachy Keen Stamps with a "Back To School" Theme~

And here is the card I made.....
I used the Scallop Center Step card base from the Silhouette store and added my layers of white and designer paper for each of the panels.
Then using the adorable Happy Apple from Pretty Paper Pretty Ribbon I cut it out the layers of the apple, minus the face so I could stamp my PK cuteness on it.  Once the face was stamped on, I added some glossy accents to the glasses for a bit of a shine, and tied a triple box of Totally White Trendy Twine.
Here is the card again, on an angle so you can see the fun shape of this card! These are awesome to make and embellish (even though mine is pretty simple) especially when you are looking for a different type of card.

Supplies Used:
Paper~ Kraft (TK Outlet) Bazzill Red & Green, White
Simple Stories~Green Chevron/Mini Dot
Stamps~ PKS
Dies/Cuts~Lori Whitlock Scalloped Center Step Card
Glossy Accents
pop dots

So there you have it...another PK card for the new release challenge... Fingers crossed that one of my cards wins one of the  gift certificates....my wish list for cute PK stamps is HUGE LOL!!!
Well thanks so much for stopping by and have a GREAT Sunday!!!

Designer Challenge "Summer Theme".......{MCT}

Morning and welcome to another
My Creative Time Guest Designer project!
Today starts a new Designer's Challenge over at My Creative Time~ this one being hosted by the super talented Amy!
Her challenge~
 a Summer Theme!!
This can be anything that you associate with summertime~ bbq, beach, vacations, a certain color palette, picnic~ really just ANYTHING Summery!

So here is the card I made....my inspiration for this comes from wishing I was Just Chillin! on the beach in South Carolina...unfortunately we wont be doing that this summer... no time to get away :( Such a bummer, but since I can't make it to the beach I can dream about it...LOL!
For my card I started out with a white card base and that fun beach wave paper from Echo Park~ A Perfect Summer. Before attaching my mat to the card base, I added some machine stitching around the border, because, well I really have a hard time not using my sewing machine....LOL! The sun, umbrella and beach chair and both star fish are all from the  Day at the Beach cutting file from Pretty Paper Pretty Ribbon also cut using the matching papers from the Echo Park paper pack. Before adding my embossing on the sand, I stamped my sentiment~ a perfect one for my beach scene from My Creative Time~ Things I Love.... new release stamp set.
I did end up using pop dots for the umbrella and sun to give my card some more dimension. I also added some glossy accents to the starfish (kinda hard to see in the picture).

So there is my challenge inspiration. I hope you have enjoyed my card. Make sure to stop on over at My Creative Time for more awesome DT inspiration!!
Thanks so much for stopping by and have a GREAT day!!!
