Back to School Notecards......{3GJ}

Morning and Happy Friday everyone!!!
I have a fun, quick and easy Back to School project to share for
3 Girl JAM that also fits our current challenge going on for the next week.
So as a reminder the challenge is
Back to School w/Ribbon
And here is what I made...
a set of 5 note cards all packaged up and ready to give....
How adorable is this????
 I found this fun printable freebie from Jennifer McGuire HERE and it was just a matter of printing out my 5 note note cards, then hand cutting the apple that is also included as an extra in the download and coloring it with my copic markers. I did 5 apples like that and then attached them to my cards with some glue.
After rounding the corners on my note cards and placing an envelope behind each one, I placed them in this clear card box, wrapped some Mistletoe crinkle ribbon around the box and tied it in a bow.
Then for my tag, I used My Creative Time~Stitched Tag die with the matching Round Tab, another apple from the download that I again colored with my copic markers and the sentiment stamped from My Teacher Rocks! set.
There you go! A super quick and GREAT gift idea for your teacher!!!

I sure hope you have enjoyed my project and will play along with us over at the
Remember you have one more week to get your
Back to School w/Ribbon
 projects in!!
Thanks so very much for stopping by!!
Have a GREAT Friday!!

Copy Your Favorite Designer.....{TKJ}

Good Morning and Happy Monday everyone!!!
It is time for a new challenge over at
And this week the challenge is:
Copy Your Favorite Designer
I want to start off by saying I have a whole bunch of favorite designers....People who I am inspired by on a daily basis, whether it is their crafting style, amazing sense of color or their incredible talents based on all those wonderful sketches out there!
But for my card today I chose to copy the very talented
Lesley Croghan from Always Playing with Paper
And the card I copied is from a post she did for Seize the Birthday and Color Throwdown
which you can see HERE
I went with the card LO from Lesley's design and made it into a Back to School card.
Here it is....
I started my card by using a piece of Light Kraft Cover Weight Cardstock as my card base and then adding a mat of Flute Corrugated Kraft Paper. Next I layered some Blackboard Stock Paper and an image that I colored  in the Silhouette Studio
 (sorry I am not sure where the image is from...if you know PLEASE let me know so I can give the designer the proper credit...it was an image that was sent to me without the name). Before adding my image to the card, I used my punch to add a notebook border, my Ink Blending Tool to add some white ink as well as my sewing machine to add the stitch marks (without the thread as you can see).
Then to finish my card off, I die cut an oval piece of Blackboard Stock Paper and well as a smaller white piece so I could stamp my sentiment from Jaded Blossom's~ School Rules stamp set. Again I added more white inking around the image using my Ink Blending Tool

So there you have it....
my inspiration for this week's challenge.
I hope you have enjoyed my card and will play along with us!
As always I have linked all the supplies I used from The Kraft Outlet throughout my description.  If you have not checked out the store yet....make sure you do! There is so much available, the prices are so reasonable and shipping is super fast!!!
Thanks for stopping by and have a GREAT Monday!!

So Sorry.........{PKS Challenge}

Good Morning Everyone!!
I am back for my weekly entry into the Peachy Keen Stamps challenge. This week the challenge was Sympathy cards. These are always so hard....at least for me to make and I never like to think that I might need a sympathy card :(
Since I love making CAS cards, I used that style to make my card....
Here it is..hope you like it!
I told you it was CAS :)
I used the Peachy Keen stamp set PK-563 Garden Wheelies and stamped the flowers in the center of my Kraft card stock. Then using my designer paper and some white card stock I stamped the same flowers and paper pieced each of the images.

Here is what the flowers look like close up. I did originally have the center popped up using some foam pop dots but it looked kinda funny to me..maybe because my pop dots were too thick...not even sure if there are thinner ones to begin with.

Once all my pieces were glued to the Kraft card stock, I ran it through my sewing machine to give the card a more finished look. After that, I stamped my sentiment using MCT~ This & That stamp set and my card front was complete.

I did end up finishing the inside of my card as well....using the same LO as the front, I made a mat of Kraft card stock and white card stock, ran them through my sewing machine and attached it to the inside. That way both the front and the inside match and there is a nice big spot to add a message.

Supplies Used:
Paper~ White, Kraft
Designer papers from my stash (Echo Park and Simple Stories)
Stamps~ Peachy Keen Stamps~Garden Wheelies
My Creative Time~This & That
Other~ sewing machine

So there is my card for today. What do you think???
Thanks so much for stopping by and enjoy the rest of your weekend!!!

Back to School Notebook.......

Happy Saturday everyone!!
I hope you are all enjoying the weekend so far!
I was able to sneak into my craft room today to make another Back to School project for a few challenges....
With my kiddo's heading back in alittle over a week, we are busy getting school supplies, haircuts and all those last minute school clothes in between playdates, football and baseball~ Yikes it seems like there is never enough time in the day to get it all done. And I am planning our welcome back luncheon for the teachers~ I think I need a vacation from our summer vacation.... LOL!!

Anyways for my project I was inspired by
Candace from Paper Crafts by Candace
to make a mini notebook based on the one she made HERE but instead using
My Creative Time~ Stitched Journal Die and making it Back to School themed.
Here is what I came up with.... Wouldn't this look adorable clipped to a backpack and used to doodle in? Or given to the teacher on the first day of school???

This was such an easy project to make and put together! I die cut a bunch of the Journal cards in white card stock and then another using the matching designer paper. Then using my cameo, I cut the apple, eliminating the face only because I  knew that the label die would go right through it. After all my pieces were put together for the apple, I attached it to the front journaling card. I die cut the label die and stamped the sentiment and popped that up on top of the apple.  Using my hole punch I added a hole to the top corner for the binder clip, then tied some coordinating 3GJ crinkle ribbon on the ring. Finally I finished off my notebook by stamping the date and adding some green candie's to the label die.

Supplies Used:
Paper~ American Crafts~Mayberry paper pack
Kraft, White (stash)
Stamps~ My Creative Time~ Just Simply Live & Tab Notes
Cuts/Dies~ My Creative Time~ Stitched Journal Die & Vintage Stitched Label Die
Pretty Paper Pretty Ribbon~ Apple from the Back 2 School Cutting File
Embellishments~ 3GJ Crinkle Ribbon~ Latte, Holly Berry, Mistletoe, Gold Crown
Binder clip, white gel pen, green candi's

So there is my finished project. What do you think?? My kids are always writing or drawing on the school bus and I know one of them will want me to make one that matches their favorite color plus something Minecraft related I am sure.......plus they can be put together in no time!!
Thanks so much for stopping by and have a GREAT rest of your day!!

Eat Cake......{Birthday Card}

 Happy Friday!!!!!
Hope everyone had a GREAT week and have fun things planned for the weekend.
My oldest has his first regular season football game under the lights....so excited about that and my youngest is playing baseball tonight and tomorrow afternoon.
 Other than that, we hope to have a very relaxing weekend of just hanging out at home :)

I wanted to share a birthday card I made for a few challenges using this adorable cake and sentiment freebie I picked up over at Neat and Tangled...
Here is my card...hope you like it!!!

So for my card I used the sketch from this week's Seize the Sketch and rotated it so it was on it's side....

Then using my Silhouette Designer Studio, I imported the digi's and went about designing my card.
I traced and then added the black lines back to the adorable cake so when I printed it out I could add some color using my copic markers. But before I did that I made a frame around my image so when I added it to my card it gave the cake a little more added color and more room to pop up. I also added some stickles to the frosting and candle...so cute!

Then for the sentiment, I added it to the size mat I wanted for my card, printed the sentiment out and then had my silhouette cut the mat. Again using my copics, I added some color and my card was ready to put together!

The papers I used for my card are from Fancy Pants~Wonderful Day paper pack and the card base is from SU~ a gift from my friend Norma (yeah I have been hoarding this card base and found the perfect card to use it for!!)

So there is my birthday card....What do you think?????
Thanks so very much for stopping by and have a GREAT Friday!!!!!

Get Well Gift......{PKS}

Good Morning and Happy Tuesday everyone!!!
I took the weekend off from the craft room to spend some much needed time with the family. My son had his first football scrimmage of the season and then the hubs and I spent a night out up at the casino in Niagara Falls for our anniversary.
We were celebrating 15 years :) even though our anniversary isn't until this weekend...we had to take advantage of the night with nothing going on...no football and no baseball and my inlaws in town to take the kids.
We had so much fun....came away without losing all the money in our pockets and it was nice to spend some time together. With our crazy schedules and his work schedule it has been a year since we have gone out...Yikes! It was so needed!!!

Anyways since I usually do my Peachy Keen Stamps Challenge project over the weekend, I didn't get a chance to make it until yesterday and now I get to share it with you all today!
Here is the Challenge~
3-D Objects :: Pets
Create the 3-D project of your choice using a pet theme.

And here is my take on the challenge~
If you don't know, or couldn't tell by my blog name~ My hubs and I raise chickens.....I LOVE them and they make such GREAT pets! Plus they give us something in return...Fresh Eggs!
 So for this challenge I used my adorable, and probably favorite stamp~ Henny Penny for my get well gift sack.Inside the sack I put some Chicken soup of course, some tissues, hand sanitizer and some cough drops. Wouldn't this make you feel better???

So here is how I made this.....  I made an SVG cut for Henny Penny and cut the shape out using my Cameo. Then stamped the image onto my cut to begin the minimal coloring needed to finish her.  I colored her with a mix of my prismacolor pencils and added a bit of dimension to her feathers using my copics. Next she was going on a tag that I die cut using My Creative Time~ Just Tag Die. I wanted my tag to have something else other then Henny Penny and my sentiment, so I added a very light spring chicken background~ also from MCT.

Next I stamped the same background onto my canvas bag. I wasn't too worried about making each section perfect....I wanted it to looks like it was meant to have some imperfections in the stamping :) The background stamping goes all the way around the bag so there is the same flow throughout.

Then to finish off my project, I added a big bow to the bag using some gorgeous May Arts ribbon that I got from a NEW online store~ My friend Beckie over at Sparkly Sweet Craft Notions! To attach the tag to the ribbon I added a decorative safety pin and my project was complete!

Supplies:
Paper~ Kraft, Cream, White
StampsPeachy Keen Stamps~PK~221 Henny Penny
My Creative Time~Spring Chicken Backgrounds, Vintage Sentiments
Dies/CutsMy Creative Time~Just Tags
Henny Penny SVG (self made)
Embellishments~3GJStateLine Canvas Bag 5x7

So there is my project....What do you think?????

Color Challenge......{TKJ}

Good Morning and Happy Monday everyone!!!
It is time for a new challenge over at
And this week the challenge is
a Color Challenge
based on this pic....
I found this gorgeous designer paper from American Crafts~ Hip Hip Horray Paper Pad that had not only all the colors from the inspiration picture in the paper, but also had these adorable flowers...so here is my take on the inspiration. Hope you like it!!!

Since the pattern paper had so much going on, I kept my card pretty simple, by making the die cut flower the focal point of my card. I started my card by using a piece of Light Kraft Cover Weight Cardstock and layering it with some white card stock and the designer paper. Next I made another mat using a smaller piece of Light Kraft Cover Weight Cardstock and matching yellow designer paper from the same paper pack. After stamping her sentiment~ from My Creative Time~ Floral Sentiments,  I put the mat aside to die cut my flower and leaves~ also from My Creative Time~Stitched Daisy Die and Stitched Leaves Die  Once all the pieces of my die cut flower had been cut, layered and assembled on my mat, I added it to my card using some pop dots for added dimension. To finish my card up, I added a decorative stitch to the side of my card and tied a big bow using some White Twill Tape.
So there you have it....my inspiration for this week's challenge.
I hope you have enjoyed my card and will play along with us!
As always I have linked all the supplies I used from The Kraft Outlet throughout my description.  If you have not checked out the store yet....make sure you do! There is so much available, the prices are so reasonable and shipping is super fast!!!

Here is a better picture of the two. I added stamped sentiments from Jaded Blossom's School Rules stamp set, a fun new flare button from 3JG as well as the gorgeous Latte crinkle ribbon from 3GJ.
