MCT 45th New Release Sneak Day 2

Morning everyone and welcome to Day 2 of sneaks for the
45th New Release from My Creative Time!
What did you think of yesterday's sneaks??? So fun right???
So for today the DT will be showcasing the new set~
My Thoughts are with You
Sympathy cards are so hard to make and Emma made another beautiful set of stamps and dies to mix and match with already great products available. For my card, I used one of the new sentiments for my monochromatic card.
I used some beautiful ombre ink and the Build a Scripty & Watercolor Background for the card mat. Next I stamped the new sentiment onto the bottom on my card. I die cut the mat using the largest Stitched Rectangular Frame Die and matted it to a piece of navy cardstock.
To finish my card off, I die cut 2 different sized butterflies and popped them up onto the front of my card.
I didn't add any additional embellishments, keeping the focus on the sentiment and the beautiful butterflies.

I did make another project using the adorable Mason Jar die that also comes in this set.
I turned these cuties into mini tags which would look perfect on homemade canning jars. I do not can anything (wish I did AND could find the time to do so as well) I die cut for each tag 2 times...once for the top layer which I did my stamping on and once for the bottom layer which opens like a card to write a message inside.
I added some thin hemp twine to each of the jars and then made some small holes in the corner to add some more hemp twine to hang the tags with.

Good Morning and welcome to Day 1 of sneaks for the new
My Creative Time 37th  Release!

So sit back and get ready for a GREAT week of inspiration followed by our blog hop on Friday when we will show you all the entire new release and it will be available for purchase!

Today the DT will be showcasing projects using the new set~
Whimsical Trees & Seasonal Greetings

I have 2 different cards to share today. So lets take a look......
For my first card is used the FUN new stitched pine tree to make a simple Christmas card. I layered the die cut tree, with the trunk of the tree (also a new die) onto a layered mat of red and white carstock~both cut out using the Label Dies. I placed those pieces aside and went about assembling my card base. I used the largest Stitched Frame and designer paper from Echo Park. I wrapped a beautiful red shimmery bow around the mat and then layered all the pieces onto my kraft cardstock base. My pine tree focal point was them attached above the ribbon and I used the new sentiment, an altered vintage label banner die and centered it under the bow. Love that this can be a card you can mass produce.

Stitched XL Label Die

For my next card I made a sympathy one :( for Emma's sister who recently lost her furbaby
For this card, I started out with a kraft cardstock base and layered white and designer paper for my mat. I again used the large stitched rectangle die (my favorite!) with My Minds Eye~Blush paper. Next I used the tag die and matching designer paper, layered that into my card mat and tied a beautiful shimmery pale pink ribbon to the top.
For the focal point of my card, I die cut a circle out of white and stamped my sentiment onto that. I added the adorable pup, again cut out with matching designer paper and popped him up onto the center of the circle. I added several heart die cuts (all from the new Seasonal Greetings set) and randomly placed them around the puppy.

Wishing you Comfort.....{Whatever Wednesday w/MCT}

Good Morning and welcome to
My Creative Time's~Whatever Wednesday.
This is the DT's day where we can create whatever we want, a card, LO, 3D or altered item using MCT stamps and dies!
My Whatever Wednesday project is unfortunately  a sympathy card that I do need to send out. A friend that my husband grew up with lost his father the other day. It is heartbreaking none the less and I hope this brings some comfort to their family.

I used my Prisma Colored pencils to color the rose. I really need to use them more often as well as watch some more video's on coloring with them. Practice, Practice, Practice~right??? I did add some white pen doodles just for a little highlighting and all in all I think my coloring isn't too bad for  the second time playing with my pencils  :)
Here is a close-up of the sentiment. I love the beautiful lettering, don't you?

So Sorry.........{PKS Challenge}

Good Morning Everyone!!
I am back for my weekly entry into the Peachy Keen Stamps challenge. This week the challenge was Sympathy cards. These are always so hard....at least for me to make and I never like to think that I might need a sympathy card :(
Since I love making CAS cards, I used that style to make my card....
Here it is..hope you like it!
I told you it was CAS :)
I used the Peachy Keen stamp set PK-563 Garden Wheelies and stamped the flowers in the center of my Kraft card stock. Then using my designer paper and some white card stock I stamped the same flowers and paper pieced each of the images.

Here is what the flowers look like close up. I did originally have the center popped up using some foam pop dots but it looked kinda funny to me..maybe because my pop dots were too thick...not even sure if there are thinner ones to begin with.

Once all my pieces were glued to the Kraft card stock, I ran it through my sewing machine to give the card a more finished look. After that, I stamped my sentiment using MCT~ This & That stamp set and my card front was complete.

I did end up finishing the inside of my card as well....using the same LO as the front, I made a mat of Kraft card stock and white card stock, ran them through my sewing machine and attached it to the inside. That way both the front and the inside match and there is a nice big spot to add a message.

Supplies Used:
Paper~ White, Kraft
Designer papers from my stash (Echo Park and Simple Stories)
Stamps~ Peachy Keen Stamps~Garden Wheelies
My Creative Time~This & That
Other~ sewing machine

So there is my card for today. What do you think???
Thanks so much for stopping by and enjoy the rest of your weekend!!!

For my project today I unfortunately had to make a sympathy card.
Not only do they break my heart to make....it always seems so very hard to design.
Being on the PTO at my kiddo's school I have the chance to show my work by making birthday cards, posters and all congrats, get well and in this case sympathy  cards. I love being able to design and share my projects and greatly honored when the principal asked if I could send out a card to a former teacher at the school who's husband passed away suddenly.
This is what I came up with...

I used E.A.D Designs~Sympathy Sentiments rub-ons
sympathy sentiments
Card Stock from PTI in True Black, Ripe Avacado and Select White
Frame from the Silhouette Store cut with my Cameo
Distress Ink in Peeled Paint
Divine Swirl Cuttlebug Embossing Folder
Ribbon from my stash
and
Brads from my stash.

Now you are off to the very talented Judith
