Harvest Greetings.....{PKS Challenge 14-14}

Morning everyone!
Welcome to another fun Peachy Keen Stamps Challenge!!!!
Fall is in the air, the leaves are such a gorgeous color around here and it is almost Halloween time!!
It's the 15th of the month, which means the start of another Color/Photo Inspiration over at Peachy Keen Stamps!
Here is the inspiration picture....... They are beautiful ones!!!

And here is the card I made! My inspiration came from the  orange and brown colors and the picture of the pie :) Yummmmmm Pumpkin Pie...LOL!
Here is how I made this... I started with a kraft cardstock base and die cut 2 of the rectangle frames in designer paper. The bottom layer is wrapped with some Trendy Twine and taped to the base. the second layer is popped up using some foam squares for extra dimension.
Next I cut all the pieces of the  pumpkin pie using my cameo. I hid the face that came with the file so I could stamp my Peachy Keen Kawaii face! So cute!!!
Once all the pieces were die cut and the face was stamped, I put the image together, adding some foam dots to the whipped cream~again for added dimension.
I popped the whole image onto the card front and then added my sentiment.
When picking the sentiment for my card, I thought this card would go great with a home made pumpkin pie. Don't you?
To finish my card off I added some random enamel dots and again popped up the sentiment.
Lots of dimension and cuteness on this card!

Welcome Back Mini Bus Cards.....{PKS Face Day}

Good Morning everyone!
It is my day to share a Face Day project over on the Peachy Keen Stamps Blog!

For my project today, I made 2 mini back to school cards that I thought would be adorable to give to my kids bus drivers. We always talk about Teacher Appreciation, but tend to forget about the Bus Drivers that ensure our kiddo's make it to school and home safely every day!
These mini's, measuring at about 3x3 were so easy to put together and would be awesome to mass produce for Bus Driver Appreciation as well!

I used the Kawaii School Lollipop file from SVG Cutting Files and instead of making sucker covers, I used the layers only for my mini cards. I placed all the layers on what would be the base for the suckers, grouped them together and then removed the base layer. Next I used the offset feature to add a frame around my bus. After duplicating the frame and welding two together for the card base, I cut out all of my pieces.

I used probably my favorite PKS face assortment set~ PK~1300 Sweet & Innocent Face Assortment and stamped the 1" face onto my bus. I added some chalk to his cheeks, white gel pen to his eyes as well as some copic color to both his eyes and mouth. I finished his face off with some glossy accents.
I finished my cards off by adding the sentiment and bus number (which actually happens to be my kid's bus number) using My Creative Time's Write On stamp set.

So there is my Face Day project for today. I really hope you have enjoyed these cuties!
Thanks so much for stopping by and have a GREAT day!!

Bee Happy! ....{MCT Tag it Tuesday}

Good Morning and welcome to
Tag it Tuesday w/My Creative Time!

Today the DT will be sharing  tags following the sketch below and using of course all the great My Creative Time! stamps and dies that Miss Emma has to offer.
Here is the tag I made....I just LOVE how it turned out!
If you are a follower of my blog, you know by now that I have 2 boys, so whenever I can make something girly I take that opportunity :) So my inspiration for my tag came from a recent blog hop I did.
After completing the hop, I received these adorable HK files designed by Annie from SVG Cutting Files. The HK bee was perfect to use with all the AWESOME MCT bee stamps and dies that were released last month.
I started my tag out using one of the Tag Dies and layering parts of the Stitched Honey Comb Die on the side. I used white and yellow designer paper to fill in a few of the honey comb sections, leaving the rest open.
After cutting and assembling the HK file, I did leave out the lady bug that was part of HK and added the 3 mini flowers~ MCT Stitched Button Dies in its place. To cover the button sections of the flowers, I used the tiny center of the flower from the Stitched Pretty Flowers & Leaves Dies.
Next I layers 2 rows of the Stitched Grass Die placing HK in between the layers. Then for the sentiment, I shortened the banner die from the Just Simply Live set to fit the Bee Happy sentiment.
I finished the sentiment off with a Totally Lemon Trendy Twine bow and then added more Totally Lemon, Totally Sky and Totally Black Trendy Twine to the top of my tag.

My Creative Time 32nd New Release Blog Hop

Good Morning and Welcome to the much anticipated 32nd New Release from
My Creative Time!

This week has been so much fun with the DT sharing amazing projects and inspiration! But we have one more day of AWESOME~NESS!

You should be coming from the VERY talented
Candace
but if you are just stopping in, make sure to head back to the start~ the AMAZING
Emma
You are not going to want to miss a thing!

For my project today, I used 2 of the new sets~ Hey Sailor! and the matching Anchors & Heart Dies and paired them up with some of my favorite other dies to make this adorable 3D boat. I really hope you like it!
(it is picture heavy so enjoy all the angles...LOL!)
 Alittle background on this....My inlaws have a summer home on the lake which we love spending time at. They have this older fishing boat that my husband grew up on and has been in the family for many many years. Hours upon hours are spent on this boat fishing so when I saw some of the sentiments from the new Hey Sailor! stamp set, I knew that making something for the cottage would be a perfect. So I give you the boat~ rightly called the "Queen"
Isn't it so fun? I used a file from SVG Cutting Files~ Fishing Boat Container for the boat and then added my embellishments using of course all my MCT goodies!!! I will take you step by step to share it with you.
Our boat at the lake is named the "Queen" and it is an aluminum one so I used some designer paper from Doodlebug Designs~Patriotic Parade and die cut the name using the Lowercase Fun Dies.
 Here is one of the new sentiments from the Hey Sailor! stamp set and I stamped it onto the Vintage Stitched Label Die banner.
Another sentiment also from the new Hey Sailor! stamp set and again I made the flag using the Vintage Stitched Label Die banner. Attaching it to a fun decorative straw that I picked up at Michaels.
 Here is one of the new dies from the Anchor & Heart Dies set. I die cut it using white card stock and then stamped the matching stripes using some Tim Holtz Distress ink. I added a smaller heart die from the Stitched Sweetheart & XOXO Dies in navy cardstock and then added a thick hemp rope bow.
Finally I added one of my FAVORITE new dies~ the larger of the two anchors from the Anchor & Heart Dies to the side of my boat, wrapping more of the hemp rope around it. It is such a GREAT size and so much fun to use!

So there is my project...what do you think? I really hope you like it, I had so much fun putting it together!

My Creative Time Sneak Peek Day 2

Good Morning and
Welcome to Day 2 of sneaks for the new
My Creative Time 32nd Release!
Today we are sharing projects using the new sets...
Lost at Sea & Stripey Background

I had so much fun playing with these sets that I made 2 different cards to share today....
For my first card I used the new Stripey Background, some Tim Holtz distress ink and some clear embossing powder to make my red, white and blue background. Then using the fun sentiment (one of MANY) from the Lost at Sea stamp set, I stamped it in between the bottom blue layers.  Using one of the circle dies from yesterday's sneak~ Bunch of Fun Circles, I die cut it in kraft cardstock and placed it behind the fun porthole die, also from the Lost at Sea set. I added some gold brads to the holes and then layered it onto the kraft circle. Using my cameo and an SVG from SVG Cutting Files~Kawaii Transportation, I cut out the ship and popped it up inside the porthole. It did have the adorable kawaii face, but I hid it so it was just the ship.
To finish up my card I added a fancy knot using some thick hemp twine and some white gel pen dots to the ship.

For my next card, I again used the Lost at Sea stamp and die set, this time using both of the layers of the porthole die and inside the hole adding the waves, sailboat and seagull from the stamp set. Again I added some brads to the holes on the porthole and popped that layer up using some foam dots.
The sentiment is another one from this set and I stamped it onto the die from the Just Simply Live Stamp and Die set. Some machine stitching to the border and another fancy knot and my card was completed.

Well there are my sneaks for today. I hope you have enjoyed them!!!!
Make sure to check out what the rest of the DT has made using these new sets over on Miss Emma's blog HERE!

Face Day~ Garden Markers......{Peachy Keen Stamps}

Good Morning Everyone!
I am VERY excited about today's post!
It is my turn to share a "Face Day" project over on the Peachy Keen Stamps blog and boy do I have a CUTE project to share (if I must say so myself..LOL)

With the weather being SO cold and snowy here, I wanted to start thinking warmer thoughts, and one of my favorite times of the year is Spring Time....
because I get to plant my garden!
I LOVE going out there to pick my fresh veggies, and my boys will frequent the garden for a quick snack while running through the yard. A tomato here and there, a handful of sugar snap peas or a pepper~yes my oldest will eat a pepper like an apple.

So my project for today is some garden markers, which I can not wait to post by the plants.
I have several pictures to share, and if you want to see them closer, you can always click on the images.

So here we go....
I started by making 9 markers, and will add a few more over the next few weeks.
Each of the image are from SVG Cutting Files~ Kawaii Veggies. I pulled them into the Silhouette Designer Studio, sized them to fit the the base and erased the faces so I could stamp my Peachies on each of them.
Here are the 4 pepper markers. Each one was stamped with a different Peachy Keen Kawaii Face stamp. I used the Stitched Journal Die from My Creative Time as my base cutting them out using an assortment of polka dot papers from my stash. For the names, I die cut some banners from the Just Simply Live set and used the letters also from that set to spell out what each veggie is.
To add dimension to each of the veggies, I did use my white gel pen and some chalk for their faces. Before putting each of the pieces together, I inked the edges using Tim Holtz Distress inks.
To finish each of my markers off, I laminated them so hopefully they will last for many planting seasons. I hot glued some wood stakes to the backs and they are now ready to be placed in my garden!
So what do you think of my project????

Supplies Used:

Valentine's Day Suckers.....{MCT Thrifty Thursday}

Good morning everyone and welcome to
My Creative Time's Thrifty Thursday.
A day set aside to share any type of project using our scraps/leftovers or recycling items using My Creative Time stamps and dies!
Since Valentine's Day is tomorrow I made come treats for my son's Valentine's Day party.

 I have been trying really hard to use what I have before cutting into another piece of card stock.
So before I share my project I have a tip that has been helping me get through the never ending stack of cardstock.
I take the dies I use the most from MCT~ in this case the Label Die from the Just Simply Live Stamp set and I cut multiples when I have that little scrap of white cardstock laying around. I am able to use up what is left of the paper, I have a bundle of die cuts ready to stamp on and no scraps :) I see it as a win win all around!
I did the same thing with the hearts, I had a bunch of red cardstock left over from when I made the Christmas Pillow Boxes (see project HERE) so I used that and the large heart from the new Stitched Sweethearts & XOXO Dies and got through a huge chunk of those scraps.

Now I can share my projects..... I used the fun Heart Winged Lollipop Covers from SVG Cutting Files as the base to my suckers and then the die cuts from My Creative Time to decorate the front.
I tied these all together using Cranberry Trendy Twine and the sentiment from the Puffy Hearts Just For You stamp set

The same stamp set was used for this as well but I added Berry Trendy Twine to close these ones
And these are the last of the bunch. Again I used the same sentiment and this time added some Strawberry Cupcake Trendy Twine.

So what do you think?????
I am hoping the kiddo's like these!
Make sure you head on over to My Creative Time to see what the rest of the DT made!
I know the inspiration is AWESOME!!!!
Thanks so much for stopping by and have a GREAT Thursday!!!

Scrapping The Little Things x2.....{MCT Project Life}

Good Morning everyone!!
This is my first "Scrapping the Little Things" post for My Creative Time
where we are sharing Project Life, Smash book or Scrapbook LO's.
I wanted to jump on the PL bandwagon and hopefully get myself motivated to do something with all the pictures I take of my kiddos :)

Here is a little background to this page and the pictures.....
Christmas time here was crazy to say the least....that is weather wise.
Right before Christmas we had a HUGE snowstorm where we got almost 2 feet of snow. While it was beautiful and the kids had fun playing in it, what came after was not fun!
We had a very nice temp warm~up..... but what comes with a warm~up is melting snow.
We live about 100 yards from a very large creek....can you see where this is going???
The snow was melting, the creek was rising and YUP we were flooding. We were on our own little island. The water was completely surrounding our house and the end of the driveway was under 2 feet of water. There was no way we could leave the house...not only because of the water at the end of our driveway but because our street was under water as well as all the surrounding streets. Then to make matters worse, it snowed again...LOL
These are the pictures from after the second round of snow....Look at all that water

 So you all probably know we own chickens....If not now you do :)
We currently have 4 hens and well here is their coop during the flooding.
Mind you their "home" is sitting up 2 feet from the ground, but with all the water we had, it came up to their doorway to their box. So we did a rescue of them and brought them up to our front porch. Yup at 9 pm the night that the water was rising, my husband went into the foot of freezing water to bring them out one by one. I was on the chicken receiving end and carried them up onto the porch.
LOL....here they are the next morning. Totally confused as to why they were there and then upset that it was now snowing. So they were then moved into the garage. Let me back up a sec and explain why they were moved to the porch. We figured they could free range during the day in the yard where there wasn't water and then be high and dry at night. That did not happen :(  With it snowing again we decided to move them again where they would be confined, warmer and stay out of the crazy elements.

Now to move onto my PL page. After the water went down, we had some bitter cold weather. This lead to 2 days of school being cancelled, but also on the flip side, lead to all that remaining water on the side of the house to freeze. So we took advantage of it and made our own ice rink!

When my hubs and the boys went out to play hockey (without skates too) I grabbed my camera and took these pictures
These are the insert cards I made to match the pictures. I left the tags blank for now (cause I do not like my handwriting) but will print out the wording and attach them to the tags.
I used alot of MCT stamps and dies for these tags. All the products will be listed and linked down below. I also embellished with some Totally Sky Trendy Twine, burlap ribbon and some staples to attach the ribbon. The designer paper I used for the cards are all from Carta Bella~Rough and Tumble. LOVE this paper!!!

MCT Products Used:
Stitched Sweetheart & XOXO Dies

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
You have stuck with me and my super LONG, picture heavy post so far that I have one more PL page I made. This is the one I used for my DT call for MCT that I did not get a chance to share yet.
I took pictures every week for my son's football season with the hope to put together a book for him. Again this series that Emma does is SO going to get my butt in action to complete it for him before the next season begins...LOL!!
Here are the cards I made...again I will link up all the MCT products I used below.
Emma's journal dies and all her stamps make putting these cards together a breeze! Now I just have to work on taking the pictures of them and getting them to look a little better.
Casey plays football for the Clarence Bulldogs and I was able to get the awesome Annie over at SVG Cutting Files to design the logo for me.  How cool is that??
And if you didnt notice he is number 30 and the team's center. He also plays on the line but his heart and soul is in snapping that ball to the quarterback :)
MCT Products Used:
Stitched Journal Die
Just Simply Live
Type Calendar
Touchdown Stamp Set
Sports Sentiment Stamp Set
Journal It Stamp Set
WOWZERS that was a long post! Thanks so much for sticking around for it all!
Make sure you head on over to My Creative Time to see what the rest of the DT made!
I know the inspiration is AWESOME!!!!
Thanks so much for stopping by and have a GREAT Monday!!!
