Happy 5 Sukie & Helen...{Trendy Twine Guest Designer}

Good Morning everyone!
I am popping in with a special Guest Designer spot over on the
Trendy Twine blog as the DT celebrates 2 special DT members
Sukie & Helen!
They have both been on the Trendy Twine DT for the past 5 years and in recognition of their talents with sharing awesome projects for the past 5 years, the DT made some special cards for them.
Take a look at the cards I made using one of my favorite go to twines~ Totally White
To make my cards, I used kraft cardstock bases, layered some white cardstock and then picked some fun pattern paper that I new would match with the design of my cards.
For the star card, I cut the star Pinwheel Center dies from MCT  in rainbow scrap cardstock and then threaded the twine through each of the holes. A simple bow was then tied onto the top through the red star.
The sentiment was die cut using the Tag Die Layers and for a fun added touch I left the sentiment with the negative which was then popped up onto the front of the card.
The heart card was made exactly like the star card with the only difference being the sentiment and designer paper.

Congrats to Sukie and Helen on 5 years of Trendy Twine service!! Your designs are awesome and I sure hope you like your cards ladies!!!
Make sure to check out the Trendy Twine blog for more celebration cards from the DT!

A special thanks to Lesley for asking me to be a part of this Happy 5 for Sukie and Helen!
Have a GREAT Friday and weekend!!
Hugs!

from

Today we are showcasing another FABULOUS die set~
 Thank You & Frame Dies

For my card today I used the new Frame Die to make a shape card!
Love the beautiful stitching on this frame and when die cut onto the designer paper it shows up and adds such awesome extra details!
Using the "thanks" die from this set as well, I made a thank you birthday card. The balloon die is from the Stitched Large Balloon set and it was popped up onto the front of the shaped card. Next I added the die cut sentiment and placed that onto the balloon.
Some totally white trendy twine and nuvo crystal drops (totally obsessed with these!!) my card was complete!

Will you be my Valentine??...MCT What a Treat Wednesday

Happy Hump Day everyone!!!
It is time for another "What a Treat Wednesday" with My Creative Time!
Well if you know me, you know I love to make treats and with Valentines Day right around the corner I grabbed 2 of the new releases from last month~ You Touched My Heart & You're a Hit Valentine to pair up with the Treat Slider Box to make some valentine chocolate treats.
These were simple to make and can be mass produced for your little ones to hand out. Unfortunately my kiddo's are over the age of giving valentines out :(  so maybe I will just have to give these to the hubs...LOL!
After wrapping my chocolate nuggets with designer paper from MME~Filled with Love paper pad, I placed them inside the slider part of the box. Dropped them into the clear pretzel bags that I picked up at Michaels and tied them closed with some Totally White Trendy Twine.
For the tag, I used the new small heart die from the You Touched My Heart set and die cut them with some matching designer paper. I hole punched the corner and then stamped my sentiment.
Easy Peesy! Tied the tags onto the bags with the Totally White Trendy Twine and my treats are all ready for valentine's day!

Penny for Your Thoughts.....{TAWS}

Good Morning Everyone!!
It is my DT day over at
The Alley Way Stamps
and I have a card to share using the new release freebie stamp set for this month~
Change
Isn't this mini set adorable??? It can be your's free with a min.. purchase over at the store :)
I wanted to play along in a few challenges so using this week's Retro Sketch

I came up with this........
I am in love with playing with the newest trend right now...sequins and when I saw this adorable card on my friend Jennie's Blog, I scraplifted her sequins stitched in a glassine bag and used it for my card....Hope she doesn't mind :)
Along with the sequins I stamped a bunch of the adorable coins and popped those into the bag as well. I then sealed with bag with some machine stitching (surprise, surprise...right?)
and added some of Trendy Twine's new color Totally White
Here is a close-up of the bag and that adorable piggy stamp :)
I stamped her on some Bazzill cardstock and then stamped her nose again so I could pop it up....Since there is lots of bling and sparkle I added some cotton candy stickles to her as well....How adorable is she...right????
The pattern paper is from the 6x6 paper pad~Lucky Charm from the Dear Lizzy collection/
Finally I stamped the sentiment from the set and added a die cut arrow from My Creative Time's~Stitched Mini Frame and Arrow Dies

So what do you think??

Happy Mother's Day........{Trendy Twine Special Post}

Morning and Happy Mother's Day to all my wonderful bloggy friends!
I hope your day is packed with tons of hugs, love and maybe some crafty goodness :)
I have a special post to share with actually 2 cards that I made in honor of Mother's Day!
So along with a few of the Trendy Twine DT members we are honoring Mom's Day AND I am sharing Trendy Twine's 2 newest colors!!!
(so make sure to hop over to the Trendy Twine Blog to see what the other ladies made!)

Whoo Hoo!! Introducing
They are now available and a MUST have....well all the colors are..LOL!!!

Ok enough talking.....time to share my projects!
First up is a CAS Mother's Day card using the showcase color of the month
Tickled with Teal and the newest release Totally White
I started out with a Kraft Cardstock base and added a mat of white and Chalk Garden designer paper from Three Bugs in a Rug. To give the mat a more finished look I added some machine stitching around the border. My sentiment is from Studio G~ Best Mom set
Here is a close-up of the twine flower I made. The base is a circle of the Totally White Trendy Twine and then to add some additional color to the flower I did a double bow using the Tickled with Teal Trendy Twine.
There is my project number 1. What do you think???

Now for my next project! I wanted to play along with this week's
Peachy Keen Stamps challenge which is to make a card for Mom/Grandma.
Well what better time to post then on Mother's Day so here is card #2
I made an easel card using the card kit from My Scrap Chick
So for this card I again used a Kraft Cardstock base and scrap papers from my ever growing stash. Since the white base was a bit plain I ran it through my cuttlebug with the flower embossing folder and then stickled the centers with Cotton Candy Stickle.
That adorable little girl is from Kadoodle Bug Designs and I stamped her face using Peachy Keen Stamps~ Princess Faces.
Instead of adding the bow cuts from the file, I added some Totally White Trendy Twine bows to her hair and to her dress. I finished off the front of the card I tied a big bow using 3GJ Dress White crinkle ribbon and some Strawberry Cupcake Trendy Twine.
The inside of the card is the same as the front except I added my sentiment, again from the same Studio G~Best Mom stamp set. There were flowers from the cut file that I chose not to add to the front, that I added to a cluster on the sentiment.
What do you think???
