Happy Heart Day....{MCT 3D Wednesday}

Good Morning everyone and welcome to another
3D Wednesday with My Creative Time!
Love is in the air and I have a sweet Valentines Day treat idea to share using some older MCT goodies.
Take a look and let me know what you think!
One of my favorite MCT dies is the Treat Slider Box. You can whip up tons of these treat for any holiday using designer paper and changing up the sentiment.
To make my treat box, I used some pretty pink polka dot designer paper and die cut using the Treat Slider Box. For the inside slider part (I apologize that I do not have a pic) was die cut using some white cardstock.
The heart "love" sentiment is from the Heart 2 Heart Love Frame. The bottom layer was die cut with kraft cardstock and the "love" layer in white which I colored pink using my copic markers.
That was then popped up onto the front of the treat box.
The sentiment, from the I Adore You set, was stamped onto a Ribbon End Banner and placed also onto the front of the treat box.
For the treats inside, I used some Hershey nuggets (4 fit perfectly inside) and wrapped them with kraft and white cardstock using the matching scalloped die from the Treat Slider Box.
I finished off my project by wrapping the box with a piece of Totally White Trendy Twine and tying it into a bow.
A sweet treat perfect for Valentines Day!!!

Well that it all I have to share :)

Thanks for stopping by and have a GREAT hump day!!

Will you be my Valentine??...MCT What a Treat Wednesday

Happy Hump Day everyone!!!
It is time for another "What a Treat Wednesday" with My Creative Time!
Well if you know me, you know I love to make treats and with Valentines Day right around the corner I grabbed 2 of the new releases from last month~ You Touched My Heart & You're a Hit Valentine to pair up with the Treat Slider Box to make some valentine chocolate treats.
These were simple to make and can be mass produced for your little ones to hand out. Unfortunately my kiddo's are over the age of giving valentines out :(  so maybe I will just have to give these to the hubs...LOL!
After wrapping my chocolate nuggets with designer paper from MME~Filled with Love paper pad, I placed them inside the slider part of the box. Dropped them into the clear pretzel bags that I picked up at Michaels and tied them closed with some Totally White Trendy Twine.
For the tag, I used the new small heart die from the You Touched My Heart set and die cut them with some matching designer paper. I hole punched the corner and then stamped my sentiment.
Easy Peesy! Tied the tags onto the bags with the Totally White Trendy Twine and my treats are all ready for valentine's day!

Trendy Twine~Valentine Secret Cupid

Good Morning and Happy Valentine's Day everyone!!
I am here to share a project that I made for Trendy Twine.
The design team did something a little different this year for Valentine's Day -- Secret Cupid.  Names were assigned to us and no one knew who had who.  We designed a card or tag and sent along a little treat to our assigned DT sister to make her Valentine's Day a bit more happy.  Today we are sharing our projects with you.

My secret Valentine was DT member Beth and here is what I made for her.

I love the skinny tumbler cup and I just recently added these to my Etsy store.  They make great teacher gifts, friend gifts or of course just a personal on the go cup for yourself. I thought Beth would enjoy this filled with some yummy Valentine's Day chocolate. I decorated her cup with some vinyl and then added my gift tag to the straw.
Here is what the card/tag looks like up close. I used a few My Creative Time products to make this~ 3x3 Fancy Tri-Fold Card for the base and the 100% Sweetness for the sentiment and the Stitched Heart Die. A few added enamel dots and a sweet message inside finished up my tag. To attach it to my cup, I added some Cherry Cupcake Trendy Twine.

Well I hope you have enjoyed my Valentine's Day project. Make sure to stop on by the Trendy Twine Blog to see what the rest of the DT has to share!
Have a GREAT heart day!!!

You're My Most Favorite....{Trendy Twine Candy Tin}

Good Morning everyone!
I am up on the Trendy Twine blog today with another sweet treat :)

Have you started making Valentine's Day treats yet?
Need some more inspiration??
I have another fun gift giving idea to share using a Candy Tin and the newly released Pinkberry Sorbet Trendy Twine!
These Candy Tin's from the Trendy Twine store are perfect for adding wrapped chocolate nuggets. I was able to fill my tin with 12 chocolates, wrapping each one in a piece of 1x3" designer paper from We Are Memory Keepers. Next to decorate the outside of the  tin, I wrapped a piece of beautiful White 7/8" Embroidery Satin Ribbon around the tin and tied it in a bow.
For my sentiment, I used both a stamp set and some dies from My Creative Time. I wanted to add more than just a twine bow to hold my tag onto my tin, so I die cut a small heart into the top layer of my tag. Next using small pieces of Pinkberry Sorbet Trendy Twine, I added them to the back of my twine so it covered the entire die cut.  The color of the twine fills the die cut so beautifully, don't you think??? This is one of my favorite techniques when playing around with my twine.
To finish off my project, I tied the tag onto the ribbon using a double bow of Pinkberry Sorbet Trendy Twine  and added some matching enamel dots.

Have a Sweet Valentine's Day.......{Tag it Tuesday w/MCT}

Good Morning and welcome to
Tag it Tuesday w/My Creative Time!

Today the DT will be sharing tag projects using of course My Creative Time stamps and dies!
Since Valentine's Day is fast approaching, I thought I would share some sweet Valentine treats using 2 newly released stamp and die sets. Hopefully for all you MCT fan's, this will give you another fun ans easy idea for when your HAPPY MAIL arrives :)

So here is what I made....
I LOVE making candy sticks and adding a fun tag to the tops. Not only do they look awesome but give alittle extra surprise to the person receiving them. For these, I started out using the Just Tags Dies, cutting the bottom layer using kraft cardstock and the top layer using pink polka dot paper. Next I used the new heart die from the Heart 2 Heart Love Frame and die cut 3 using some red cardstock.  I popped the hearts up onto the center of the tags and then arranged the sentiments to fit around the heart. I used the sentiments from the new You Make My Heart Smile stamp set, placing one on top of the heart and the other below the heart. Next I used the banner die from the Just Simply Live set and die cut that out using white cardstock. My "valentine" sentiment fit perfectly across that die!

Here is another angle of the tags. Simple to put together and perfect for class parties or to give to the kiddo's :)

And here is what the candy sticks look like all put together. I added some holiday M & M's to the skinny candy bags and then tied the tags to the tops of the bags using some Cherry Cupcake Trendy Twine.

I used the current MCT Designer's Challenge picture for my inspiration. Pulling the kraft, pink and red colors from the picture as well as the heart :)
Here are the details for this challenge~ You still have plenty of time to play along!!!

Hugs and Kisses w/Trendy Twine & a Winner!

Good Morning everyone!
This is my first official project of 2015!
I am up on the Trendy Twine blog today with a card and a treat box featuring this month's spotlight color of twine~ Valentine Cherry Cupcake
Lets take a look :)
I started this project by making the card~ a very simple design using some My Creative Time stamps and dies (all linked below), some new designer paper I picked up at Michaels and of course some Valentine Cherry Cupcake Trendy Twine.

Moving on to my treat box...isn't is cute??? LOL!
I used the Biggie Candy Chutes from the Trendy Twine store and filled it with...yup Kisses :) I wanted it to match the card, so I wrapped the box with some scrap designer paper, some more Valentine Cherry Cupcake Trendy Twine and I used the ampersand die cut as a tag to hang from the twine.

100% Sweetness......{Trendy Twine} {Post #2}

Good Morning everyone!!
If you are looking for my "Scrapping the Little Things" post for My Creative Time please click HERE

The Trendy Twine DT is back from a break in January with some new additions to the team and lots of fun things coming this term! For the DT announcement and to meet the new team, make sure to check out the Trendy Twine Blog.

This month is all about Valentine's Day! Love is in the air and the DT is sharing
Valentine Treat Packaging with treats of course. This ties in with the new challenge that is now up on the blog.
The Challenge......
Will You Be My Valentine?

~Valentine treat packaging (must include the treat)
with Trendy Twine~

**If you do not have Trendy Twine, use hemp, jute,
embroidery thread, or yarn only; NO ribbon
(no other brands of bakers twine)**
There are lots of colors on sale this month too that would be perfect for your projects...
Valentine Cherry Cupcake Mini or the Pink Licorice Mini
Valentine Cherry Cupcake Mini Set by Trendy TwinePink Licorice Mini Set

Deadline is 11:59 p.m. central time, Monday, February 17th.
Project must be new for the challenge.
You can link up HERE!

Now for my projects.....
I used a few additional products from the store besides twine for my treats.
I hope you like them!!
Paper Straws are so popular right now and the things you can do with them are endless! I found these huge marshmallows at Walmart that were perfect for using the straws as the sticks! So using the Red & White Dots Straws from Trendy Twine I made some sweet chocolate dipped marshmallows for my Valentine's.

What is a sweet treat without a cute tag, right??? The tag and sentiment are from My Creative Time~Stitched Round Tab, Arrow and Tag Die and the 100% Sweetness Stamp Set.  I used the Cherry Cupcake Trendy Twine and wrapped it around the center of the tag 3 times and tied it in a bow. So cute!!! Then using the same color twine I attached the tag to the treat bag.

And here it the whole treat! So yummy!!!
(my kids approved too...LOL)

This last project I actually took the Apple Box Set that I got from The Cutting Cafe and resized it in the Silhouette studio to fit my over sized marshmallow. I removed the apple so I could use the heart from the Stitched Sweetheart & XOXO Die as my window. I kept the box decorated simply and added a beautiful 3/4 Chevron May Arts Ribbon to the top. (you can pick these beautiful ribbon's in many colors up in the Trendy Twine store too!!!)

Well that is all I have....
What do you think??? Sweet treats and cute packaging too!

My son is having a Valentine's Day Party and wanted cute but not cheesy saying treats to hand out :)
I think this about covers it...don't you??
I ended up making 16 total...4 of each design.
They were very easy to assemble and embellish...especially for a bunch of 6th graders who are just going to throw them out after they get the candy that is inside!!

So there is my Valentine's Day treat!! But before you head out I have some
BLOG CANDY!!!
A magnet board w/Stand

Now onto my project.....
I made a pillow box...my very 1st one using acetate and my cameo!
After cutting out the pillow box and carefully folding the score lines I attached a piece of card stock the the outside. The edge of the card stock on the pillow box was ....blah so I decided to again try something new and sew a trim using some Trendy Twine
Look at how cool it turned out!!!!
Here is a closeup of the sentiment~ from Jaded Blossom's Got Candy set
it goes perfect with the "kiss" I cut out using my cameo.
I wrapped some aluminum foil around it to give it a more realistic look, added some glossy accents to the "chocolate" and tied it all together with some more Trendy Twine :)

I hope you have enjoyed my Valentine's  project!!

Valentine's Pillow Box

Hi Everyone!!
I wanted to pop in and share a Valentine's Day Pillow box I made to enter into a few challenges.
I have never played in the Make it Monday challenge w/PTI and while reading my email and checking out the new challenge I thought I would give it a try.
I LOVE my PTI cardstock so I used some Sweet Blush for the base of my pillow box.
I do not own PTI's pillow box die but I was able to use my Cameo and cut one out :)
The challenge, besides making a pillow box was to do stamping on it so with My Creative Time's~Coffee Break Stamp set and Tim Holtz Spun Sugar Distress Ink...I stamped the entire pillow box with the polka dots background.
Not only do I love the extra it gives to the pillow box...it also matches my digi's dress :)
The super adorable digi is from By Lori Designs~Sweetheart Valentine - Four (Puddle Jumpers Ella).
I was lucky enough to win a FB contest and the prize was the adorable Sweetheart Valentines Bundle~ 4 Super adorable images.
I colored her with my copic markers, die cut her out using my FAVORITE tag die from PTI and attaching her to my pillow box with a Black Organdy Ribbon.
Not much in the way of embellishments...I wanted to keep it simpler to really showcase the cute digi and the great texture on the pillow box.
This will make for a great treat in the hub's lunch :)

So I hope you have enjoyed my project!
Thanks so much for stopping by
and have a GREAT night!!!

Another Valentine's Day Project

Another Valentine's Day project...
I think I am Valentine's Day out...so for my last project until next year I made this fold box/bag for my son's teacher. I LOVE these boxes/bags and I know she will also. They are super easy to make and can be made in any size. This one is a 12 x 12 piece of cardstock and coordinating paper from K&Company's Valentine's Designer Paper pack.
I am going to enter this in the Creative Cutter Room: Love Notes (Boxes) Challenge. The Challenge was to create a Valentine Box Project for your kids or to give as a Gift.

Box/Bag?

Yesterday Tami over at Tami's Craft Connection made the cutest box/bag. After seeing that I knew I had to make one also. I went to 1 of my favorite tutorial sites Splitcoaststampers and followed their tutorial for what they call a treat box. It was so easy and it turned out great I think. I used Black Currant paper (my favorite) and a 12 x 12 piece of cardstock. My son came home and asked for this for his teacher valentine. If his class and teacher's gift wasn't already done she would be getting one of these. I'm thinking this one is staying on my desk along with the kisses inside :)
