Deck the Halls w/Inky Paws.....{Newton's Nook Designs GD}

Good Morning and Happy Hump Day!!
I am very excited to share with you some awesome news.....
not to long ago I was asked by Jennifer~owner and designer for Newton's Nook Designs if I would be interested in being a Guest Designer the first week of December. Well of course I said yes~ first because I had never heard of Newton's Nook Designs and secondly because I thought it would be a great way to share with my friends and followers an adorable stamp company that makes the cutest sets!
I was able to pick out 2 stamp sets to use and have several projects to share between today's post and the fun Blog Hop we have scheduled for Friday.

For my first card I used the Frozen Friends stamp set and made this....
I started with a Kraft card stock base and used designer papers from My Minds Eye~All is Bright paper pack.
I stamped the cute snowmen on a piece of the designer paper, and added a bit of color to them using my copic markers. I thought they would look adorable in a frame so I die cut the frame from My Creative Time~Just Simply Live set. I added additional hearts above the snowmen and then stamped the sentiment from the same set onto the frame.
After adding some stitching to the border of the designer paper as well as some zig zag stitching to add some more decorative elements, I put the card together. I thought it needed a little something more, so I pulled a snowflake punch out, added a few in the matching designer paper and then added some SU bling to the center. I also added touches of diamond stickles to the snowmen for a bit more sparkle.

For my next card I used the Holiday Wishes stamp set and came up with this CAS design
I actually am going to make several more of these to send out to friends for Christmas. For this card I started with a black card base, added a layer of green and then my top layer of white cardstock. I stamped the sentiment first onto the white card stock, making sure to line up the wording as best as I could in the center of the card. Once I was happy with the centering, I stamped my stockings above and then went to adding some color to the image using my copics. I wanted to add some more sparkle to the stockings so I brought out my diamond stickles again. To finish up my card I added a few red sequins around the sentiment and my card was finished.

I hope you have enjoyed my cards! I really had fun putting them together. Make sure to check out the Newton's Nook Designs Blog for more projects and inspiration using these sets as well as their store for additional stamp sets that are available.
Please come back and join myself and an amazing lineup of designers on Friday for the.....
There will be lots of inspiration and a prizes as well!

Have a GREAT rest of your day and thanks so much for stopping by!!!

So here is the card I made....
I used this week's Mojo Monday Sketch as well as the Bingo Challenge over at Catch the Bug

and came up with this,
Just in time for the Holiday weekend....
I took the Mojo Monday sketch and flipped it on it's side...I just love how this turned out (if I might say so myself...LOL)
The Bugaboo image I used was AKV Girl Celebrate and was last week's freebie image. I am sure you all know by now what a HUGE Bugaboo fan I am...make sure to check out their blog...there is a new freebie listed every Friday!
Here is a close-up of the image that I ended up coloring using my copic markers....not much coloring needed to be done since it is such a small image. I also added some diamond stickles to the stars which "match" the glittery brads I used as embellishments.
And here is the gorgeous Navy crinkle ribbon from 3GJ! It is a new release and you can find it in the Navy Bundle. In following with my Red/ White and Blue theme I also added one of my favorite colors of Trendy Twine and a must have for the upcoming few months....
Could not leave out my machine stitching (which is actually part of the Bugaboo challenge)

What do you think???

Penny for Your Thoughts.....{TAWS}

Good Morning Everyone!!
It is my DT day over at
The Alley Way Stamps
and I have a card to share using the new release freebie stamp set for this month~
Change
Isn't this mini set adorable??? It can be your's free with a min.. purchase over at the store :)
I wanted to play along in a few challenges so using this week's Retro Sketch

I came up with this........
I am in love with playing with the newest trend right now...sequins and when I saw this adorable card on my friend Jennie's Blog, I scraplifted her sequins stitched in a glassine bag and used it for my card....Hope she doesn't mind :)
Along with the sequins I stamped a bunch of the adorable coins and popped those into the bag as well. I then sealed with bag with some machine stitching (surprise, surprise...right?)
and added some of Trendy Twine's new color Totally White
Here is a close-up of the bag and that adorable piggy stamp :)
I stamped her on some Bazzill cardstock and then stamped her nose again so I could pop it up....Since there is lots of bling and sparkle I added some cotton candy stickles to her as well....How adorable is she...right????
The pattern paper is from the 6x6 paper pad~Lucky Charm from the Dear Lizzy collection/
Finally I stamped the sentiment from the set and added a die cut arrow from My Creative Time's~Stitched Mini Frame and Arrow Dies

So what do you think??
K time for my TAWS reminders......

Little background before I share my card....my son is a HUGE Bigfoot fan...and I mean HUGE. He watches the show Finding Bigfoot every Sunday night, has the Gone Squatchin' hat and Bigfoot tee shirt as well as wants to go and find Bigfoot himself .....SO when I saw the super adorable image from the Deep in the Woods set I was excited but he was OMG over the moon excited!
This leads me to my card....a CAS Bigfoot card just for him...because like Bigfoot, my son is one of a kind :)
LOL!! Is he not the cutest Bigfoot EVER?!?! I just LOVE his cutie face :)
I stamped him on Kraft cardstock using Memento Tuxedo black ink and then colored him using my prismacolor pencils. I wanted to add some additional details to him so I stamped him again on a piece of designer paper from Bo Bunny~ Camp-a-lot collection and then pieced only his belly onto the image.
I finished my card off by stamping my sentiment and then tying a piece of natural hemp twine around the top in a bow.
Easy, fast and so perfect for my son!

TAWS Sneak Peek Day 2~ Words to Live By

Good Morning Bloggers!!!
It is Day 2 of our sneak peeks for the new
March stamps being released from
Today I am sharing a project using the new
Words to Live By
stamp set..
a GREAT set of words and sentiments perfect for mixing and matching with all your TAWS!
and here is what I made.....
I always like to have cards on hand that can be given for any occasions and this new stamp set was perfect for this card!!
My card was very easy to do and the great thing about a design like this is you can mass produce and just change the sentiment.
So for my card I used papers from Echo Park~Everyday Eclectic 6x6 paper pad, Kraft Cardstock and white cardstock. I layered the pattern paper on the white cardstock then ran a line of stitching around the outside.
Using some 3GJ crinkle ribbon in Cherry Lipstick, some Trendy Twine in Strawberry Cupcake
and a button from my stash  I tied a bow across the center over the spot where the pattern paper met the white cardstock.
Finally I stamped my sentiment using Memento Tuxedo Black ink. Don't you just LOVE the font and size of the sentiment?? I know I do and see this as being a frequent sentiment being used in my cards :)
So there you have it...I hope you like my card!

Now head on over to
you will not want to miss the chance to win
All the comments posted today on their blog will go into a random drawing and someone will win this stamp set~
Words to Live By

"You're the best thing Since Sliced Bread"

Hi everyone!!
This is my second post for today~ I am on a roll...LOL
If you want to see my Bugaboo Stamps/Jaded Blossom Valentine's Day card you can click HERE

I know it is kinda late for me to be posting again but I started this card this afternoon and then left for the night to attend my son's chorus concert. They are all so adorable up on stage singing away but let me tell you he was thrilled the day was over. He had to go to school all dressed up~ shirt, tie and dress pants and he is such a sweat pants kinda kid....LOL. Poor guy! He can hang the tie up until the next concert which will also be his first band concert~ Yup he just found out he made the band...super proud of him!!
Anyways I was able to get back, get the kids tucked in and finish my card to enter into a few challenges.
Using this week's Peachy Keen Stamps sketch
I came up with this....
A humorous kind of Valentine's Day card!
I hope you like it!!
So I have this little problem but for this card it actually came in handy...ready...
I save EVERY piece of scrap paper...Yikes can you image the amount I have???
I have started to take the scraps and place them inside my Ziploc bag with the paper packs instead of in the big plastic tote I was used to using. Who would have known that this was so much easier of a solution to storing my scraps with the paper packs...LOL!
I still do have plastic bins for my card stock and misc designer papers but clearly this is a better way..at least for me to store my papers...
So for this card I used all the papers from My Minds Eye~ The Station  paper pack and Kraft card stock for the base.
The adorable sentiment as well as the bread stamps are from PK~127 Sandwich Fun and the cute cute faces are from PK~294 The Cornies. I did add some pink chalk and white gel pen doodles to their cheeks and teeth.
Here is a side view...as you can see I popped the sentiment up using foam pop dots
and finished the inside of the card as well :)
Here is the other side view. I used my sewing machine around all the mats~don't you just love the added texture it gives??Finally I added some natural hemp twine that was in my stash~ probably from a package or gift I received...another one of my problems....I save it all.
You never know when you might need something like that...right??
 So there you have it.
What do you think???
Thanks for stopping by and I will see you all tomorrow!
I have a CUTE CAS card to share for TAWS!!

3 Girl Jam Challenge #10~ It's A Party!!

Good Morning Bloggers!!
It is a happy day over here....
I am hosting the new challenge over at the
and
this week's challenge is~
It's a Party!!
we want to see all those projects that are party related w/ribbon of course~~
This week's challenge will be open for 3 weeks and
 is being sponsored by
So the winner will receive
$10.00 Gift Certificate to Inky Impressions
1 bundle 3GJ ribbon
and a
Guest designer spot
Awesome prizes for sure!!!

Onto my project...it is pretty photo heavy so bear with me :)
I made a Valentine's Day Bingo game set for my son's Valentine's Day classroom party using my new stamps from Jaded Blossom, handmade crinkle ribbon from the BEST place ever~3 Girl Jam
and my LOVE the Cameo...
Hope you like it!!
Here is the whole set..all packaged up and ready to go to class...
inside is 8 games boards and all the call chips to get this game started.
I figured I would take in candy that the kids can use as markers on the board and then when the games are done they can eat their candy...because all kids LOVE their candy...LOL!
Here is a close-up of the gorgeous ribbon! I used 3 Girl Jam~Cherry Lipstick from the Pink and White Bundle and glued it down to cardstock...then running the cardstock through my cuttlebug using My Creative Time's Heart die.
I hot glued it to a clothes pin from The Kraft Journal
but before I did that I ran it through my crimper to give it some additional texture!
Added a button from my stash and some hemp twine from Liz's Paper Lift Boutique and clipped it to my Hot Chocolate ribbon, again from 3 Girl Jam
Onto the inside....Here is what it looks like.
I used Lori Whitlock's 5.5 Box and some size altering in my Silhouette Studio to make the bingo board box..I added an addition piece of Kraft card stock to separate my boards from the calling pieces...that way everything had a spot and things didn't get mixed up.
Here is what 1/8 of the boards look like. Using my new stamps from Jaded Blossom's January release~Valentine Candies, Conversation Candies as well as
Babies & Weddings I stamped different images into each of the 24 spots. The board itself was one I found online and just altered, again in my Silhouette studio to fit what I wanted.
I printed them out, trimmed them up and matted them on Raspberry Fizz PTI card stock
Ok here is the last picture~thanks for hanging in...LOL!!
This is whole kit...I have to say I am pretty impressed with how it all turned out!!
A lot of work but for the person that this project was made for...my son..he loved it and that is all that mattered!! He is very excited to take it to school and play Bingo for his Valentine's Day party! I just LOVE that he is so proud of my work and wants to show it off...makes it all worth while :)
Additional supplies used that were not listed above include...stickles for the lips on the game bards, acetate for the box cover and Jillibean Soup~Hearty Barley card stock for the box cover.
I sure hope you have enjoyed my project and will play along with us over at the
Remember this challenge will run for 3 weeks so lots of time to get those party projects in!!
Thanks so very much for stopping by and hanging in to see my project..all the pictures and all!
Have a GREAT Friday and awesome weekend!!!
