MCT 61st New Release Sneak Day 3

Good Morning and welcome  to Day 3 of the
61st New Release sneak peek week
from

Today we are showcasing another FABULOUS die set~
 Thank You & Frame Dies
and here is the card I made using this set.....
For my card today I used the new Frame Die to make a shape card!
Love the beautiful stitching on this frame and when die cut onto the designer paper it shows up and adds such awesome extra details!
Using the "thanks" die from this set as well, I made a thank you birthday card. The balloon die is from the Stitched Large Balloon set and it was popped up onto the front of the shaped card. Next I added the die cut sentiment and placed that onto the balloon.
Some totally white trendy twine and nuvo crystal drops (totally obsessed with these!!) my card was complete!

So here is the card I made....
I took the Peachy Keen Stamps Sketch for this week
and rotated it. Also instead of using a circle shape as my base I made it a bracket shaped card (Hope that is alright for the challenge )
So here is my fun birthday card for my nephew who LOVES tractors. I thought he would get a kick out of this one :)
So I started out with a bracket shaped card base that I picked up from the Silhouette store and added a few layers of designer papers from my stash in blue for the sky and green for the ground. Then using another file from the Silhouette store I cut the cute tractor and added my PK face to the little boy. This is so how my nephew looks when he comes to our house and rides the tractor with my husband. Seeing that the "scene" needed something else, I stamped the adorable corn stalk, also from PKS, colored it with my copic markers and then cut the whole stamp out to glue to the card mat. After added some white pen doodles and popping the tractor up for added dimension I went to work on the sun.

I wanted to do something different with my ribbon...other than tying it in a bow so I thought the sunflower crinkle ribbon would look so fun as the sun rays coming out of the sun. I cut a bunch of strips of ribbon and then cut them in half. To give them the fluff (how I described it to my husband..LOL) I pulled apart the fray a bit more to fill out the sun but still show some separate pieces. I think it turned out pretty cute.....
What do you think???

I sure hope you have enjoyed my project and will play along with us over at the

Time for Another Whimsical Wednesday Challenge :)

Good Morning Blogging Friends!
It is that time again! Another Challenge over at Whimsical Wednesday.
I was so excited about this challenge---Make a Shape Card.
I seem to be stuck in making simple A2 cards and needed the push to get my act into gear and step outside of my comfort zone. So when this challenge came up I knew exactly the "shape" I wanted my card.

I found a wine bottle SVG file awhile back..probably during my search for another file and put the idea in the back of my head. (sorry not sure of the site...I will search for it and if anyone is interested leave me a comment)
It is now time to pull out the creative idea...and take what I had pictured in my head and make it work.

I have to say I really LOVE the way this turned out! I  used the SVG file and SCAL to weld the wine bottle for the base. After cutting out the base I cut  another bottle and all the layers.
I had the stamp sentiment from a Birthday bunch by Fiskars that was perfect. I made it look like a label...placed it inside another oval stamp and added some bling with my irock.

I wanted the top of the bottle to look more like a cork so I used one! I took a piece from an extra cork board and trimmed it to mimic the shape the paper would have been.
I did have a bead ring around the bottle to look like a wine charm but I took it off and I like the way it looks better without it.
The bottle is attached with foam dots for alittle more added dimention.

Size of the card is 2 1/2" x 8 1/2". Tall and skinny :) But with plenty of room to add a nice message inside.

Well I hope you like my Shape Card and want to play along with this weeks challenge. Make sure you head over to Whimsical Wednesday's blog, check out the other DT's projects and link up your project!

Thanks for stopping by. Can't wait to see your project!
