Bumblebee Sneak......{Trendy Twine}

Good Morning everyone!!

It is my DT day over on the Trendy Twine blog 

and this month the DT is showcasing the FAB new

I love making CAS cards and for this card I did just that...used some awesome new stamps from My Creative Time and played around with some heat embossing and paint.

Rain or Shine......{PKS Challenge #1....plus a few more}

Hi Everyone!

I am back with my second post for today (to see my first one click HERE)

 and my entry card for the Peachy Keen Stamps release challenge #1

This is the challenge....

RAINY DAY CHALLENGE - Create whatever you'd like for this challenge, but give it a "Rany Day" Theme.  Stormy skies, clouds, raindrops, whatever your heart desires!  

and here is my take on it.

Here is a close-up of the adorable cloud with her cute PK face.

In the white spot below her face I ended up adding some glitter using glossy accents and sprinkling some CI Paint~ Resplendence Angel Dust.  I did the same thing with the rain drops also...

So what do you think????

But before I get to the challenge I want to take this opportunity to thank Molly, Kendra and all the CI Paint DT for an awesome year! This is my last post hosting the Inspired By challenges :( 

I have decided since this is the end of my term to step down and turn the reins over to another host~ one you all know I am sure Diana from DL. Art! 

It has been a GREAT year hosting these fun challenges and seeing all the amazing projects being linked up week after week! So thanks to everyone who has supported me and my projects with CI Paint!!!

This week's Challenge~

Inspired By: Anything Goes!!

surely a challenge favorite!!

Remember there is no limit to the amount of projects you can add so we want to see them all!!

So onto my card....I saw this sketch over at The Deconstructed Sketch and thought I would play along with this week's challenge. This is a new sketch challenge for me and I had so much fun making this sketch my own...I sure hope you like my take on it!

I also wanted to play along with the new Riley challenge. It has been FOREVER since the last time I played and I have this super adorable Riley wooden stamp which by the way I think is retired so I couldn't find a link :(
Anyways here is my card and take on the sketch.....

Isn't he such a CUTE Easter Riley??
Before I share a close-up of the image, here are a few more details
~the papers are all from the Dear Lizzy~Lucky Charm paper pack
~the oval cut is from the Silhouette store
~Wooden Banner pieces are from Studio Calico (I just covered them with the matching pattern papers)
and
~hemp twine is from Liz's Paper Loft Boutique

Here are a close-up of my image and all the Creative Inspirations Paint products I used.....
Details~ :)
I stamped the image and then heat embossed it with Deliquesce Clear Embossing Power.
Once that was done, I colored the image with my copic markers then added some Resplendence Angel Dust Glitter to the Easter eggs.
I added some silver brads to hold the banners up but wanted to add some color to them....so I painted them using Mint, Tanzanite and Sunshine.

This weeks Challenge~

Inspired By: Go Green!

We want to see all those St. Patty's Day projects OR recycled projects!!

 and here is the project I made....
I wanted to make my boys a fun St. Patty's day treat...I know they are super excited about it~ I hope you like it too :)

For my project I started out with a clay pot that I painted black using acrylic paint. Once that was dried I went over the black with CI Paint in Onyx. I wanted that black to really shimmer :)

 Here is a close-up of my sentiment~ 
Using the sentiment from My Creative Time, my favorite embossing powder~ Deliquesce Black from CI Paint, I stamped and heat embossed it onto a die cut~ the Curly Label Die also from My Creative Time
I wanted to add some gold brads but didn't have any, so instead of going out and buying some I used silver brads from my stash and heat embossed them using Deliquesce Gold Glitter. They turned out AWESOME I might add :)
To hold my sentiment up I used a sucker stick~ kinda boring until I wrapped it using Twisted Lime Trendy Twine!! Did you know it is the color of the month??? Trendy Twine is having a sale on it HERE
~~Just a little enabling on my part...LOL!!~~

Finally here is a close-up of the shamrock die cut~also from My Creative Time!
I love Emma's dies and the stitching  she adds to them~ Awesome!!
I couldn't leave him unpainted so I added a layer of Green Olive CI paint as well as another gold brad.
Filled with some "gold" in the form of Rolo's and there you have it!

a fan favorite for sure and here is the project I made....

I wanted to play along in this week's The Kraft Journal challenge which was White on Kraft and what better way to do that then use Creative Inspirations Paint Deliquesce White embossing powder on Kraft card stock! I just LOVE the look of that together...don't you??? I embossed the frame with the white embossing powder then cut out the image and glued it to the tag base. I then stamped the heart and painted it with CI Paint in Garnet and embossed the letter "u" with more white embossing powder. I was going for a CAS look so I just finished it off with some Trendy Twine in Krazy for Kraft and Chocolate Truffle and 3GJ Crinkle ribbon in Antique White. The stamps that I used for this tag are from The Alley Way Stamps~ Doodle Frames, Cover Ups, Jibber Jabber and Alphabet Soup.

Now onto my Valentine's Day Tag!

I made this tag to enter into a few challenges as well as to attach to my son's Valentine treat basket. 

I hope you like it and sure hope he likes it!!!

I wanted to keep it cute but not too girly for him so I went with  distressing the edges on the tag and inking the edges of his name, the heart and the sentiment.

I also heat embossed the adorable PK face as well as the sentiment. It gives the face a much more dramatic look~ Don't you think?? I couldn't help but add some sparkle to his nose as well as some more stickles to the large brad.

how perfect...right :)
Here is the card I made for the challenge.....

A mini 3x3 using a cut file from the Silhouette Store.
It was so super easy to put together and all I had to do was embellish the way I wanted...with some Creative Inspirations Paint of course!
I used a mix of Ivory and Autumn Wheat for the band and some Rustic Red for the letter "u".
If you have not noticed by now....I LOVE my CI Paints for chipboard..They cover them so well and give such a GREAT shimmer!!

a fan favorite among everyone!!

For my card I used the sketch from this week's

Seize the Birthday

and came up with this.....

I used the adorable Bugaboo Stamps image~Giraffe Heart 2

and colored her with my copic markers. To add some sparkle to her I painted some of her hearts with Creative Inspirations Paint in Tutu Pink.

The additional hearts are from a fiskars punch and My Creative Time stitched heart die. Those were also painted with Creative Inspirations Paint in Tutu Pink and Fairy Dust.

For the sentiment I used My Creative Time~Vintage Sentiments and heat embossed it with Tim Holtz Distress ink in Gathered Twigs as well as a mix of Creative Inspirations Paint~Deliquesce Clear Embossing Powder and Resplendence Angel Dust.

I finished my card up with some sewing machine stitching, buttons from my stash, 3 Girl Jam crinkle ribbon in White and Trendy Twine in Chocolate Cupcake.

For my card I used the sketch from this week's
Seize the Birthday

and the color combo from the new
Pinspired Challenge

and of course one of my favorite stamps from
Bugaboo Stamps

And came up with this....

I used the adorable BBrat girl  balloon sitter and coloring her with my copic.
No fancy coloring...just CAS

I did add some Creative Inspirations Paint~ Angel Dust to the balloon which is popped up with foam dots

I also added some Resplendence Angel dust for alittle more shimmer and sparkle

 For my sentiment~ I used chipboard letters that were painted using Creative Inspirations Paint~ Rose Quartz.
One of my favorite uses with these paints are painting on chipboard....as you can kinda see in the picture, the shimmer that these paints give is awesome!

So that is my birthday card....
I am sure there is a little girl that will LOVE this
(not sure I can pass this off on my boys...LOL!!)

I just changed up the colors and the embellishments

Here is a close-up of the embossing on the tag and the heart.

This is our last challenge for 2012 and we want to see ALL your creative projects!

So for my card today I thought it would only be right to share a New Year's card

to help ring in 2013!!

So here it is.....

Using all stamps and dies from My Creative Time and lots of heat embossing I came up with what I think is a fun card...

As you can see in this picture...I used heat embossing on all of the stamped images

and for the arrows, which began as either white or black brads I painted them with Gold CI paint.
