MCT 79th New Release Sneak Day 1....{Flower Border Die}

Good Morning and welcome to day 1 of sneaks for the
79th New Release from
My Creative Time!!
We have a great week of sneaks showcasing awesome new stamps and dies and hope you will join us in celebrating Miss Emma's 7th Birthday of MCT!

Today the DT will be showcasing the new die~
Flower Border Die
and here is my inspiration....
The card I made for todays sneak I actually gave to my MIL yesterday for Mother's Day.
It was a perfect addition to the African violets we gave her as well!
To make my card, I used a piece of pale purple cardstock ad stamped it with the Grainy Wood Background stamp for alittle added texture. I then die cut it using the Stitched Rectangular Frame die as well as the new Flower Border Die.
This set also comes with individual flowers that I die cut in white and a dark purple to layer onto the border. I filled each center with a pale yellow circle center.
I did die cut an extra flower to place above the sentiment which was stamped from the set~Springtime Smiles. Alitte green leaf behind the flower from the Stitched Pretty Flowers & Leaves Die set completed the front of my card.
To finish my card, I layered the top flower panel onto a piece of white cardstock and then layered everything onto my kraft cardstock base.

MCT 70th New Release BIG Reveal & Blog Hop

For my project, I get to showcase the new
Build A Fall Wreath
take a look at the card I made using this set.....
I went alittle rustic with my card for today adding lots of texture by using my stamps.
To make my card I started with a kraft cardstock base and then moved along to work on my card mat.
I die cut a piece of white cardstock using the Stitched Rectangular Frame Die
and another piece in the kraft cardstock also.
On the kraft cardstock, I used the Grainy Wood Background stamp and some veramark ink for the cool texture of the tree.
I grabbed my More Stitched Edges Die for the torn paper look, cut the cardstock and placed the 2 pieces aside for later.
Moving onto the white cardstock....I pulled out a few of the different leaf stamps from the new Build a Fall Wreath set and randomly stamped them onto the cardstock using Distress Ink.
Once I had the stamping the way I liked, I layered the kraft pieces onto the white cardstock making just part of the stamping show.
To then complete my card, I stamped the sentiment, again from the new Build a Fall Wreath set, added the tree die cut from the Seasonal Greetings set and die cut some of the smallest stamped leaves to pop up onto the tree.
Some light inking around the edges, foam on the back of the card mat for some extra height and mounted onto my card base completed my project.

Now for the entire release.....

MCT 65th New Release Sneak Day 1

Good Morning and welcome to Day 1 of sneaks for the
65th New Release from
 My Creative Time!!!
This week is going to be jammed pack with awesome inspiration from the DT and new release stamps and dies that I know you are all going to LOVE!!!!!

So lets get started..... Today's sneak features the new  set~
Beautiful Day
and here is the card I made using this set....
My card was made for my MIL who has an upcoming birthday and loves the color purple :)
To make my card I started with a kraft cardstock base, added a layer of white cardstock and then another layer of kraft.
The kraft mat was die cut using the Stitched Rectangular Frame Die and then stamped using Veramark Ink and the Grainy Wood Background stamp.
Next I die cut the gorgeous new flowers and colored them using my purple copic markers. I die cut the stems from the new Beautiful Day set as well and inked those up with my green copics. The flowers were then arranged onto my card front, the flowers popped up with some foam and the stems glued down leaving alittle room for my to slide some hemp twine under and tie a bow.
The sentiment, from the new set Beautiful Day was stamped onto the smallest Sentiment Label Die and also popped up onto my card.
Some enamel dots completed my card.

Autumn Greetings.....{MCT Trending Now ~Wood Pallets}

Good Morning everyone and welcome to another
"Trending Now"
with
Today we are focusing on "Wood Pallets"
Using a stamp, the color of wood, a wood element, or texture.
Here is the fall inspired card I made using the Grainy Wood Background stamp....
I went CAS with my card and love how this turned out!
veramark ink to stamp it onto a piece of kraft card stock. The versamark ink adds the slightest of color to the kraft making it the perfect ink for my natural wood looking background.
Next I die cut my fall inspired tree using the Seasonal Greetings dies and popped it up onto the front of my card. I stamped my sentiment using the Piles of Smiles set and finished my card off with some red and orange NUVO crystal drops (my new FAVORITE embellishment!!)

Believe in the Magic of Christmas....{MCT Inspire Me Wednesday}

Good Morning and welcome to another
Inspire Me Wednesday with My Creative Time!

My inspiration today came from  Pinterest.
I found this cute Christmas card  HERE and used the inspiration to make my own version of a Christmas card using all MCT stamps and dies.
Take a look...
So I am totally in LOVE with the new deer die cut!! I die cut him out with kraft cardstock and then added the grainy wood background onto him for some extra details. A shiny red nose and he was placed aside as I finished the rest of my card.
I used beautiful wintery themed paper from Carta Bella and the Bunch of Fun Circle dies for the focal point.
For the sentiment~from Boughs of Holly, I stamped the "believe" onto a rectangular frame and then make my own layer for the back. I wanted it to pop alittle more against the white circle.
Finally the remaining sentiment was stamped onto a banner die and my card was ready to assemble.
Lots of popped up pieces gives the card some fun added dimension.

You Color My World....{MCT Trending Now~Mixed Media}

Good Morning everyone!

I know I have apologized before but I am going to do it again and say I am so sorry I haven't been around in bloggy land lately.  With the kids home this summer their activities have kept me SO busy. Between baseball and football there is barely enough time for me to go grocery shopping...LOL! The kids will be back to school soon and I promise I will be making my rounds on a regular basis. Please hang in there with me for a few more weeks...LOL!!!

Anyways, thanks for stopping by today for another
Trending Now with My Creative Time!

Today we are getting inky and doing some Mixed Media using My Creative Time stamps and dies!
I have to be honest and say I am not really sure I did this right but following in the footsteps of Tim Holtz I got inky and had a blast creating my tag.
Take a look and let me know what you think :)
To make my tag I started out my heat embossing the Best Friends Background using clear glitter embossing powder. Its hard to see in the pic but the embossing is so pretty!!
Next I got inky and created a rainbow over top the embossing with a mix of Tim Holtz Distress Inks. Keeping up with the inking, I used the paint brush swoosh in the new Let's Paint the Town set and stamped it using black ink directly over all the colors. I wiped off the extra ink so you could see the background through the inking too. Such a fun background this created!
For the sentiment and paint brush, I used the same Let's Paint the Town set. The sentiment was stamped onto white cardstock and hand cut. I then layered it on some kraft cardstock and again hand cut it out. It was then popped up onto the tag with some foam.
The paint brush was die cut and for some extra texture I stamped the handle with the Grainy Background stamp set. The paint part of the brush was inked up using some Distress Ink .
Finally to finish up my tag, I took some white crinkle ribbon and inked it up using the same colors from the tag. Love how the crinkle ribbon can be colored to match a project!!

Extra's:
Distress Ink-
Candied Apple, Carved Pumpkin, Mustard Seed, Mowed Lawn,Salty Ocean, Wilted Violet
Versafine Onyx Black Ink

Glitter Clear Embossing Powder
Ribbon, hemp cording, eyelet
