Teacher~First Day of School Treats

Hi everyone!
I have another project to share with you today!
But if you are looking for my This to That Challenge #4 with The Digi Bistro please click here.

Back to school time for my boys today and I wanted to make something little for them to take to their teachers :) ~ Nothing like a little kiss up right from the beginning right!?!?!
This is what I made for them....

I made Milk Cartons  using a file from The Cutting Cafe.
Not too long ago Regina had a special...all the milk cartons for one price...yup I jumped at the chance and purchased them all.
This is the plain one I cut out on paper from Me & My Big Idea's
The background frame is cut from Gypsy Wanderings at 2.6" and then stamped with SU Petite Patterns in Mellow Moss Ink
The apple is from Create a Critter, cut at 1.96" and stamped with PK~491 Everyday Character Faces
I did add some white gel pen to the faces and Creative Inspirations Paint in Winter Frost.
The tag was cut from The Digi Bistro's Tag It! SVG file at 2.5" and inked with Mellow Moss, painted with Winter Frost and stamped with Memento Ink~Afterthoughts sentiments from SU.
The whole this was put together with red line tape, filled with Hershey bars and tied up with Martha Stewart Fern Seam Binding.

Hope the teachers enjoy their treats :)

I am entering this into the following Challenges:
Fantabulous Cricut~Challenge Me Monday #76~ABC's/123's
Peachy Keen Challenge~Let's Face it Friday~ Back to School

Happy Birthday w/ Paper Smooches

Morning Everyone!

I hope you are all having a great weekend!
This is it...the last few days before my kiddo's go back to school and we are trying to get all the last minute preparations in order, labeling supplies~packing bags and picking out the outfits!

My boys have had quite a few birthday parties these last few weeks and yesterday was the last of the summer.
I made this super easy and very simple card for the birthday boy.

I used a freebie digi from Paper Smooches and printed and colored the cupcake with my copics.
I added some stickles to the top and a red candi for the cherry.
I cut the entire image out and attached to an A2 size card.
Stamped my sentiment underneath and I was done.

(Sorry about the BAD picture....I have yet to figure out how to photo good!)

I am entering this into the following Challenges:
Birthday Sundaes~ birthday sentiment

Birthday Card for Birthday Sundaes: Challenge #21~ Another Bugaboo Image

Hi Everyone!
It is Sunday and usually we have something planned...some sort of job around the house to get done but today is a LAZY day~ at least for me and I have been crafting all day.
Most of what I have been doing is DT work that I cant share at the moment but I did squeeze in some time to make a challenge card.
I know...Halloween is a ways away but I just love this skelekinz~Birthday digi from Bugaboo.
I colored her with my copics (I think my cricut is jealous...my copics have been getting tons of love lately) and layered her on a new paper stack I just picked up at Joanne's.
Cloud 9 Designs~Seasonal Stack.
The entire pack is Halloween, Thanksgiving and Christmas paper.
I stamped the "boo" with Fiskars Halloween Night Stamp Set
and the "birthday girl" with MPS Pinka-licious Stamp Set.
I added some homemade skittles and distressed the papers with my Tim Holtz paper distresser.

So there you have it...
I will enter this into the following Challenges:
Birthday Sundae's~ Challenge #21
Catch the Bug Challenge~ Anything Goes

Thanks for stopping by and have a GREAT night!!

Birthday Sundaes/M.A.G by the Page and An Award :)

Good Morning Bloggers!
I hope you all had a fun filled weekend!

I made a card today for 2 challenges~
Birthday Sundaes~Summery colors~~white/green/orange
&
M.A.G Challenge by the Page~ Simply Charmed Cartridge page 39

My A2 card is on a white base with a green layer and another white layer.
I cut my flower out at 5" and hid the face so I could stamp my own PKS~Simple Sallies Face.
I used my white gel pen for some doodling and attached my sentiment with a fun square paperclip.
The sentiment is one I won from The Cutting Cafe. It is from the Everyday 1" Circle Greetings.
The corners were missing something so I added some bling in orange as well.

I am so honored to accept this award from

I embossed the circle with my cuttlebug and a birthday folder and the icing~divine swirls, flames~~herringbone.

The sentiment is from fiskars stamps.

Twisted Easel Card~~ Birthday Wishes

Hi Bloggers!
This is my last post for today. I have been B~U~S~Y today.
Working outside in the sunshine and craftin' in between :)

I was watching a tutorial on Cardz TV with Mary on how to make this twisted easel card. As I was blog hopping I found a bunch of challenges that I thought would fit this card.

My first time making one of these cards and I have to say that besides being really easy to make, they look awesome when completed!
~~here is my completed card open~~

~~~my card closed~~
So what do you think?
I really love how this turned out....especially for my first attempt.
So for the details:
The card is an A2 size with both inside and outside mat measuring 4" x 5 1/4".
The cut is from Simple Charmed and it was cut at 3". I hid the face and instead added some white stitching. To add dimension to the cake I popped up the 1st layer as well as the candles and flames.
The banner is a stamp and inside the banner I stamped 4 U. They are strung with red bakers twine.
The inside of the card is very simple. The sentiment is from Fiskars and that too is up on foam dots with some stitching around the mat. There was originally just going to be buttons that were used to hold open the card but I liked how the stamped image raised worked better.
I also added another smaller mat to add another birthday note.
There you have it...my first attempt and for sure not my last with the twisted easel card.
This card is for the following challenges:
Catered Crop- FTR #13
Ribbon Carousel Challenge Blog- Something on a Spool
Getting Cricky- Simply Sunday Challenge~Banner
Birthday Sundaes-#11 Masculine Birthday
Bitten By the Bug 2- Birthday Cake
Thanks for stopping by and see you all tomorrow :)
Scrap Paper Clean Up, Copic Marker Storage Solution & A Card :)
It is a crappy day here....raining like CRAZY and flood watches all around.
What to do on a Sunday like this....play with paper of course :)
I thought my boys would be beating eachother up by now but they are playing sooo good with Legos. I really love days like this! Everyone is happy and I am getting tons done! (I still have a long list  but slowly things are getting done)
I wanted to share a tip that I saw over at DoubleClick Connections-AKA ABusyBee. Carrie had a GREAT tip on using all that scrap designer paper which I am sure we all have a ton of!
Cut it all down to the size you use the most for your cards. I make alot of A2 cards so I cut my scrap down to 4 x 5 1/4. (Alittle smaller that the standard A2 size which is  4 1/4 x 5 1/2)
ended up with this :)
started with this
Now I only went through 1/4 of my paper but already I feel like I can create so much with what I already have cut down.
This is the card I created from my scrap find! I really love this paper and you sometimes tend to forget what you have laying around when the scrap piles get really big...like mine.
The paper is K & Company Faded China Paper Pad and the card is an A2 base with the pattern paper cut at 4 x 5 1/4. I added a simple black ribbon and made my own stick pins (again another tip from Carrie)
I made a rosette with the coordinating paper and stamped the sentiment with My Pink Stamper's Pinka-licious set.
I am going to enter this card over at Birthday Sundaes-use at least 3 circles
Lastly I was searching for a better way to store my growing collection of copics without spending the big bucks and being able to see all the colors in their grouping better. I think I found the perfect solution.
I found these pencil boxes at Target today. They came in 3 different colors and I bought one of each color. They have 4 divided sections and I used a small binder clip to hold them all together. Then I was able to separate by color and see what I have. I will go back and get at least another one...there are a few colors together because I ran out of room. I really love the find and the solution!!
Thanks for stopping by and see you all tomorrow :)
Happy Birthday Cupcake---Floating Cupcake Card
Good Morning Bloggers!!
First I want to thank everyone who left me such "sweet" comments on my post yesterday. I had a GREAT time making the ice cream cake pops and sharing them with everyone. Your comments like all comments we receive really made my day....So Thanks Again!!
Today I wanted to share this birthday card I made. I recently came across this awesome blog..My Craft Spot and she did a tutorial on how she made her floating candle card. I of course had to give it a try. Mine is a floating cupcake :)
I did have to play around with the dimensions on my gypsy and once I figured it all out I was good...lots of trial and error.
The base is George and Basic Shapes welded together to measure 5 1/2 x 4 1/4. I added a rectangle cut into the middle of the base and then into the middle of the top layer. This is where my trial and error was.
The cupcake is from the Simply Charmed Cart and it was cut at 1.75 as well as all the layers. (you need 2 shadow cuts for this...one for the front and onc to cover that back). The birthday sentiment is also from simply charmed and that is cut at 2".
I stamped his face with a PKS...alittle too big for this cupcake but I still think it is cute
I added stickles to the candles, home made skittles to the corners, some bakers twine to the side and alittle stitching around the outside.
I really like how this came out!!
Hope you do too :)
