Happy Birthday~ The Cutting Cafe DT Day~ Winner!!

Good Morning everyone!!
Today I am sharing my project for The Cutting Cafe and along with the rest of
the DT we are showcasing the Long Sentiment Tags file.
What a GREAT bunch of tags....
perfect for all your cards or LO pages.

~~But before I share my project I want to announce to winner of my blog candy from the Love Bugs Banners for Kids Hop~~
Using Random.org the lucky winner is.....
JUDY!!!
Congrats Judy...please email me at
eschfamily@yahoo.com with your mailing address and I will get your ribbon right out!

Now on with the show....LOL!!
For my project I used the Birthday Tag from the set and made a masculine birthday card.
I have to say I really LOVE the way this turned out!
What do you think?

So in addition to the Long Sentiment Tag file
I also used the Fun With Pockets file......
another packed file full of 14 different pockets!
I re sized my tag to 2 1/2" x  4 1/2" and printed it out on white card stock.
I colored all the wording using my copics in colors matching the DP.
I did add some white gel pen doodles to the wording because....well I have a hard time not using my gel pen :)
The DP is from Simple Stories..another fun birthday print
and it was layered on white card stock all on a Kraft Card base
The balloons were cut from the Simply Charmed Cartridge at 2 1/2".
I used foam dots to give some dimension to the red balloon and again added my gel pen doodles.
The ribbon is from American Crafts...one that I love but can not seem to find any more :(
Here is the inside of the card along with the whole tag.
I am making it another goal of mine to complete the inside of my cards as well...that way they are 100% ready to be used!
Some additional items used for this card include:
Distress ink in Gathered Twigs
eyelets
white ribbon from my stash
and
"X" stamp from Stampendous (Typewriter Alphabet)

Now for even more inspiration and to be entered to win some of your own files from The Cutting Cafe
make sure to hop over and check out the rest of the DT's projects.

Christmas is Claus for Celebration~ Another Bugbites Card w/ Mistletoe Stamp Set

Good Morning Everyone!
I have another card to share featuring Barb's over at BugBites new stamp set Mistletoe.

I just love this time of year...getting ready for the holidays. Making holiday cards and here is my newest card with this adorable stamp set.

I LOVE making twisted easel cards....I think they are super easy to make and look awesome when opened.

My card is the A2 size twisted easel using black cardstock for the base.
I layered the base with white cardstock and then red polka dot digi paper I received from Get Funky! as a prize.
The adorable Santa and the chimney are cut from Simply Charmed 3.5" using all the layers on Santa and all the layers but the face on the chimney (I hide the face with my gypsy)
Santa has some stickles on his hat and I added stickles to the chimney top to look like snow.
I used ribbon from my stash as well as Trendy Twine in Peppermint Stick.
The sentiment is stamped on a tag from The Digi Bistro~Stylish Edges
And how adorable is that sentiment?!?!
Love it and love how it fits so well with my card :)

So there you it...my final sneak at this adorable stamp set and I have to say I will be making LOTS more Christmas cards and using this awesome set.
Barb now has this set and her other new set Magic Spells up for sale over on her blog BugBites.
Make sure to hop over and pick up a set or two.
They are perfect for this upcoming holiday and Barb ships them super fast!!

Thanks for stopping by and I hope to be back later with some more cards to share!
Have a GREAT day!!

Sending You Birthday Wishes~ Challenge Card and A Halloween Card

Hi everyone!
I had a card all ready to post yesterday and I got too tired so I am posting double today.

The first one I made for two challenges:
The Ribbon Girl~ use ribbon
and
Birthday Sundaes~All about the Brads

OK so my card is a shape card using George and Basic Shapes Cartridge and welded on my gypsy.
The balloons are from Simply Charmed cut at 3.5" and I used the shadow feature as well.
I added the PKS faces~ Everyday Character and Simple Sallies.
I colored my own ribbon again using my copics and BV08 and R85.
I know the picture is not the greatest but the card base as well as the sentiment mat and ribbon are all purple and are all the same color.
So the sentiment is actually a dollar bin find that seemed to fit too good with my balloons :)
A little twine on the balloons, 3 purple brads, some white gel pen doodles and a paper clip to hold the sentiment and my card is complete!

So here is my second card.
I picked up this cute pumpkin die at the store the other day on clearance and of course had to give it a try :)

Cute little pumpkins....a very simple card using Cloud 9 Season Paper Stack and Fiskars Halloween Night sentiment.
I added more white gel pen doodles on my pumpkins and popped up the middle one for some dimension.

So thanks for stopping by and make sure you stop by tomorrow for another Paper Playtime challenge
and a new Whimsical Wednesday challenge on Wednesday.

Have a GREAT night :)

Whimsical Wednesdays Challenge #16~ Fun with Folds

Good Morning Bloggers!
It is time for another Whimsical Wednesdays Challenge
This weeks challenge is~~ Fun With Folds
Create a CARD that is anything but a shape or A2 style. For example an easel, gatefold, waterfall.

For my card I made a Twisted Easel Card
Here it is closed~ It is an A2 size but when you open it...

It looks like this!!!

I love making these fun and VERY easy cards....

Here are the details to make your own...

Start with your base color cut at 4 1/4 x 9 3/4

Score at 5 1/2

Then score diagonally~ corner to inside corner

Fold on the score lines and decide how you want your card to twist. Cut a top layer at 4 1/4 x 5 1/2
Attach that top layer to your diagonal fold. You can see mine attached here. It makes an A2 size card when folded up
But here is what it looks like opened!

Now decorate away!

For my project today I used the Simply Charmed Cartridge and cut the baby buggy at 3 1/2".
The bottle and pacifier are cut at 2"
The sentiment is cut at 1 1/2".
I added PKS~ Simple Sallies to the baby, bottle and pacifier.
Blinged up the wheels with Bo Bunny brads.
Added 2 stamped images with a baby stamp set from the dollar bin :)
Alittle stickles to the cut sentiment and some white gel pen doodles around the wheels.

So I hope you like my Twisted Easel.
I would love to see you join us this week over at Whimsical Wednesdays. Make sure you visit Whimsical Wednesdays to see the other DT's projects and link up your Fun Fold Card.

Thanks for stopping by!

Baby Boy LO~ Welcome Little One

Hi Bloggers!

I have been busy all day playing with my paper and I just remembered that Karen over at
Karen-Kakes-Krafts is having a Challenge that I wanted to enter.

What is the challenge you ask? To make a Baby Boy LO and if you enter you have the chance to win a Your Story Machine! Oh how I want one!!

So here is my LO
I did a 2 page 8 x 8  LO
The Paper used is from my scrap but I believe it is Cloud 9
The cuts are from Simply Charmed and the photo mat scallops were cut with SCAL and a file from Cheryl's Cute Bugs.
I used the PK faces Simple Sallies for the lettering and Everyday Characters for the baby.
I left lots of room on the sides for journaling and 2 large mats for pictures.
Hope you like it?

Thanks for stopping by and have a GREAT night!

A "Sweet" Thank You

Good Morning Bloggers!

I am so excited...tonight is the Whimsical Wednesday Blog Hop!
Make sure you come back starting at 7pm EST and join in all the fun!
I am very excited to share my project, can't wait to see everyone else's project and there is LOTS of yummy candy to be won!!

I have not entered a challenge in a while so I thought I would be creative this morning while the kids are letting me and enter some :)
Isn't this "sweet"!
So this is what I did....I recently purchased Cheryl's Cute Bugs at SVGcuts.com and used the welded card base.
The paper is from Bo Bunny and the Popsicle cut is from the Simply Charmed cartridge cut at 4".
I hid the face and instead stamped a PK~491 Everyday Character Face on her. I love how this face changes the whole look of the cut!!
The Sentiment is from My Creative Time~This and That. I used 2 stamps for this and pieced the wording I wanted on a Tim Holtz Ticket Strip Die Cut.
Alittle Bakers Twine around the layer and tied on with ticket and there you have it.
Oh yeah...I also used my white and black gel pen for some doodling.
The Popsicle is attached with foam dots for some added dimensions.

What do you think?
I am entering this into the following challenges:
Tacky Tuesdays Challenge #8~ Cool Treats w/"Sweet" wording
Papercutz Challenge #99~ use a Popsicle

Thanks for stopping by~~~See you all tonight at 7pm :)

For the Birthday Sundaes challenge we were to use wet or dry embossing and the 365 Cards challenge was a sketch. CropStop's challenge, twice as much fun is to use 2 embossing folders in your project.

The background paper is from Jillibean Soup and the rest is from my scrap. The Circle I cut at 3" using George and Basic Shapes and the cake is from Simply Charmed cut at 2.5"

I embossed the circle with my cuttlebug and a birthday folder and the icing~divine swirls, flames~~herringbone.

The sentiment is from fiskars stamps.

Happy Birthday Cupcake---Floating Cupcake Card

Good Morning Bloggers!!
First I want to thank everyone who left me such "sweet" comments on my post yesterday. I had a GREAT time making the ice cream cake pops and sharing them with everyone. Your comments like all comments we receive really made my day....So Thanks Again!!
Today I wanted to share this birthday card I made. I recently came across this awesome blog..My Craft Spot and she did a tutorial on how she made her floating candle card. I of course had to give it a try. Mine is a floating cupcake :)
I did have to play around with the dimensions on my gypsy and once I figured it all out I was good...lots of trial and error.
The base is George and Basic Shapes welded together to measure 5 1/2 x 4 1/4. I added a rectangle cut into the middle of the base and then into the middle of the top layer. This is where my trial and error was.
The cupcake is from the Simply Charmed Cart and it was cut at 1.75 as well as all the layers. (you need 2 shadow cuts for this...one for the front and onc to cover that back). The birthday sentiment is also from simply charmed and that is cut at 2".
I stamped his face with a PKS...alittle too big for this cupcake but I still think it is cute
I added stickles to the candles, home made skittles to the corners, some bakers twine to the side and alittle stitching around the outside.
I really like how this came out!!
Hope you do too :)

You're a real Fun-gi

Hi Blogger friends!
I have been so busy today...cleaning and sorting through the mass amount of stuff in my craft area. I have not cleaned it really well in a long time and it was much overdue!
I have gotten so much done...organized all my designer papers by brand, organized all my embellishments into their RIGHT containers :)
Put all my scrap pattern paper in one container and scrap colored paper in another container.
Cleaned up all my ribbon...I really need a ribbon carousel (hint, hint Chris..if you are reading this)
As well as made a list of upcoming projects and blog hops that I am participating in. I have lots of work to do :)
The good news with all of this is I found lots I didn't know I had, forget where they were and TONS of extras for some giveaways :)
In between all of that I made a cute male card. During my recent trip to the stamp store I found this really cute unity stamp with the "You're a real fun-gi" sentiment and a cute mushroom stamp.
I used the sentiment and will save the stamp for another project because I wanted to use an action wobble. I cut the mushroom from Simply Charmed at 3.5", the shadow at 3.75" and the matching layer at 3.5". Using my gypsy I removed the cut face and added the super cute face from PKS.  You can't see in the picture but the mushroom wobbles and I am just in love with how cute this came out! The card is pretty simple which I like and the wobble just makes it! I hope you agree :)
Don't forget to come back tomorrow to see my new DT project over at Whimsical Wednesday. I can't wait to share it!
Hope you all have a GREAT rest of your day.
