Birthday Card~~Sketch and Embossing

Afternoon Bloggers!

Next I have a card to share that I made for 3 challenges.
Birthday Sundaes , 365 Cards and CropStop.

For the Birthday Sundaes challenge we were to use wet or dry embossing and the 365 Cards challenge was a sketch. CropStop's challenge, twice as much fun is to use 2 embossing folders in your project.

The background paper is from Jillibean Soup and the rest is from my scrap. The Circle I cut at 3" using George and Basic Shapes and the cake is from Simply Charmed cut at 2.5"

I embossed the circle with my cuttlebug and a birthday folder and the icing~divine swirls, flames~~herringbone.

The sentiment is from fiskars stamps.

Get well soon card- yesterday's card

I made this card for yesterday's post and when I went to load it up we were without Internet service. for some reason my husband had to call and have the Internet rebooted. So I had my card done just couldn't show it to you all. Sorry. This card was made for a friend who is recovering from surgery. I gave it to her yesterday with a care package of sudoku puzzles, a gift card for Barnes n Noble, and some yummy chocolate. Just alittle something to keep her busy on her road to recovery.

Plus on top of that I am fighting a really bad cold and felt like doing nothing yesterday!! It is raining outside today, yuck!! Can't wait until the weather gets sunny and warm!

I feel better today...still drained but I have some sample wedding shower favors to make for a friend who's niece is getting married. They are looking for inexpensive favors so I thought I would help with some ideas. I will post my creations later when they are finished :)

One of a Kind

What a long week it has been. The kids are over-tired and crabby, I'm tired and will be crabby if the kids don't stop fighting!
My therapy...a card and my cricut. What great therapy right :)
So I have a question to put out there for all of my readers...If you like to enter challenges, how do you choose what ones to enter? Every time  I blog hop I find another challenge and then another challenge. I read on someones blog they had a sidebar list of the challenges they follow and what day a new one came out...I really need to do that. I love making cards for challenges but I have a hard time getting them all straight. I have a notebook I keep track of the challenges in and the ones I enter but there has to be an easier way...right? Any insight would be GREATLY appreciated :)

I hit 100 followers yesterday! How exciting it is for me. When I started this blog I never thought people would want to see my cards let alone follow my progress. I'm thinking I should do a 150 follower giveaway. What do you think? Any ideas on some good blog candy giveaway prizes?

Is it Spring Yet?

As I was making my card today...thinking about how nice the weather was going to be (34 is better than 20...LOL) I looked outside and it was snowing! I new that this Spring Card was the closest I was getting to flowers for a while :(
It seems that I'm having an off crafting day...I cant get my colors to work...my designs are not what I wanted and my camera wasnt taking good pictures...so what you see is my "wanting it to be spring card, on my off crafting day"
Maybe tomorrow will be better...I am stepping away for a while and maybe will be back later!

Hap-bee Birthday

There is just never enough hours in the day to get everything done that needs to get done. I usually have my kids ready for bed with all homework, reading, spelling and math facts done by 8:00. Tonight we didn't make it to bed until 8:45...uh oh rough morning tomorrow i'm sure! Your probably saying whats 45 minutes late....to us it means ALOT! I'll let you all know tomorrow :)
So I was in school helping level some 2nd grade books when I found out it was one of the staff's birthday. Normally I would have just wished her a happy birthday but now I have an excuse to craft :) I came home and made this birthday card for her. I used the sketch from 365 Cards- Day 1 which I will enter this card for. The inside (which I don't have a picture of says---Hap-bee Birthday)

Happy President's Day! I hope everyone had a happy Monday!
My kiddos are home this week for their February break so I dragged them to Michaels looking for disstress ink. I haven't worked with distressing anything but have watched may videos and seen some amazing projects...so I found 4 different colors.To make it all better they had a 20% off your entire purchase coupon which I used :). I plan on working with them tomorrow so stay tuned to see what I come up with :)
I also found this paper kit that had the butterflies and matching paper on clearance for $1.99. It was 6 6x6 pieces of paper, the butterfly stickers and some other fun embelishements. I couldn't pass it up so I came home and made this. I am entering this over at 365 Cards: Day 358- Color Scheme.

Ok for my question to you...what program do you recommend/use....Sure Cuts ALot or Make the Cut? I see file downloads that use both, I wanted to get one but am unsure which I should get. Any info would be greatly appreciated.

Happy Friday!! Hope everyone has exciting weekend plans..I know we don't which is good. We have been SO busy with the kids activities that a much needed weekend free is great!
I plan on spending alot of time today crafting and catching up on challenges so hopefully this will be the first of many posts today.
A very simple card I made for 365 Cards: Day 355 Friday Sketch. Sometimes simple is better right? I tried to curl my flower petals but I think I need some more work. Anyways I think it came out cute.

Happy Feb 15th .....
everyone. So we are all done with all the Valentine's Day projects, or at least I am, on to other SPRING like cards! I so can not wait for the nice weather!! We had alittle teaser for the past few days where the snow was actually starting to melt :). Then wake up today and it is 9 degrees outside..WHAT?!?! But good news, we are supossed to hit almost 50 in a few days YEAH!
Anyways here is my card for today. I was thinking Spring :)
Not sure what I think about it though. You know how sometimes you LOVE a project and others its just ok..well thats where I am today.
