I LOVE how my card turned out for today...hope you all like it to
I used the new set Pillow Talk and while I was looking at the great borders an idea popped into my head using the circles...why not add some color and make it look like a rainbow because this month's freebie sentiment was perfect for that. And then my card was born...LOL!
I stamped the border image on white card stock then using my copics began coloring the one side rainbow and the other side shades of gray. I then cut out the border and attached it to base..but before doing that I printed the sentiment out and cut the base to size.
Once the card front was done I thought it still needed something so I ran 2 lines of stitching down the center of each side.
And there you have it! What do you think????
Everyone really should
"Add a Little Color to Every Day"

TAWS Sneak Peek Day 2~ Words to Live By

Good Morning Bloggers!!!
It is Day 2 of our sneak peeks for the new
March stamps being released from
Today I am sharing a project using the new
Words to Live By
stamp set..
a GREAT set of words and sentiments perfect for mixing and matching with all your TAWS!
and here is what I made.....
I always like to have cards on hand that can be given for any occasions and this new stamp set was perfect for this card!!
My card was very easy to do and the great thing about a design like this is you can mass produce and just change the sentiment.
So for my card I used papers from Echo Park~Everyday Eclectic 6x6 paper pad, Kraft Cardstock and white cardstock. I layered the pattern paper on the white cardstock then ran a line of stitching around the outside.
Using some 3GJ crinkle ribbon in Cherry Lipstick, some Trendy Twine in Strawberry Cupcake
and a button from my stash  I tied a bow across the center over the spot where the pattern paper met the white cardstock.
Finally I stamped my sentiment using Memento Tuxedo Black ink. Don't you just LOVE the font and size of the sentiment?? I know I do and see this as being a frequent sentiment being used in my cards :)
So there you have it...I hope you like my card!

Now head on over to
you will not want to miss the chance to win
All the comments posted today on their blog will go into a random drawing and someone will win this stamp set~
Words to Live By
You can have up to 2 entries....

You are the Sweetest~ PKS Challenge

Good Morning Bloggers and happy Monday!!!
Hope you all had a nice weekend! The kids were off for their February break last week so today was a bit difficult to get going. Isn't that how it always goes??? I have to say we had a VERY relaxing week, didn't do much in way of activities outside the house but had tons of kiddo's over for play dates!
Anyways I wanted to pop in and share my project for this week's Peachy Keen Stamps Challenge.
This week's Challenge:
PKS Challenge 13-8 :: 3D Objects :: Metal
and this is what I came up with...yes I know Valentine's Day is over but my treat container can be for a just because also...right???
Ok so dets on my project....
I purchased this take out box from the Silhouette store forever ago and have yet to cut it out so I thought seeing that the challenge was 3D and w/ metal I thought...PERFECT I could add my metal in the form of the handle and that is what I did...alittle fancy twisting and wrapping around a paintbrush ..LOL!!
Isn't she just the sweetest candy corn....who says they are only for Halloween..I did actually see them for Valentine's Day and that was my inspiration for her.
I used my go to PKS~ Simple Sallies for her face and then added some white gel pen to her eyes and mouth.
She got some inking around the edges in Victorian Velvet and Barn Door and then a sweet bow in  Cherry Cupcake Trendy Twine.
Finally my sentiment is from Jaded Blossom's~ Got Candy? stamp set and the adorable heart is from The Alley Way Stamps~Jibber Jabber stamp set.

So there you have it...what do you think???
Thanks so much for stopping by and have a GREAT rest of your day!!!

CI Paint Inspired By~ Anything Goes

Good Morning everyone!!!

It is time for another fun
Inspired By Challenge
over at

This weeks Challenge~
Inspired By: Anything Goes
a fan favorite for sure and here is the project I made....
I wanted to play along in this week's The Kraft Journal challenge which was White on Kraft and what better way to do that then use Creative Inspirations Paint Deliquesce White embossing powder on Kraft card stock! I just LOVE the look of that together...don't you??? I embossed the frame with the white embossing powder then cut out the image and glued it to the tag base. I then stamped the heart and painted it with CI Paint in Garnet and embossed the letter "u" with more white embossing powder. I was going for a CAS look so I just finished it off with some Trendy Twine in Krazy for Kraft and Chocolate Truffle and 3GJ Crinkle ribbon in Antique White. The stamps that I used for this tag are from The Alley Way Stamps~ Doodle Frames, Cover Ups, Jibber Jabber and Alphabet Soup.

I hope you like my project and will play along with us over at
Creative Inspirations Paint!
Remember you do not need CI Paints on your project but if you have them we would
LOVE to see how you use them!!!
Thanks so much for stopping by and have a GREAT day!!!

Both fun challenges with TONS of DT inspiration!!

So this is what I came up with....
A sweet mini 4x4 card using the stamp sets Tiny Treasure and Mad Gab from The Alley Way Stamps and the colors green, brown and blue from the photo.
The LO of this card is based on the sketch from Retro Sketches~ which also happens to be a fellow TAWS DT'er! How cool is that!! Plus Kim's card is way ADORABLE and such a great inspiration!!
Finally the baby card is for The Paper Players challenge which is CAS w/buttons and bows for baby. It just so happens that we found out a friend of ours is expecting a baby in June...looks like this card is going off to Brian and his wife :)
I embellished the card with buttons from my stash, some sewing around the mat and Trendy Twine in Holly Green and Chocolate Sprinkles.
Finally the papers I used for this card include a new find for me~ Bazzill Rope Swing...its textured with polka dots!! The designer paper is from First Edition Paper~Up,Up and Away collection

Cameo Creations~ St Patty's Day w/Bling

Good Morning!!!
Welcome to our next

If you have any Silhouette machine,
whether it be the original Silhouette SD or the new Silhouette Cameo,
Join us for all the fun.
Cameo Creations Challenge
This week's Challenge is:
St. Patty's Day w/Bling
and here is the card I made....
I used the file So Lucky Card for this one and then embellished it to make it my own!
Since the theme was to add bling I thought it would look so cool to have the bling peeking out behind the cut of the sentiment.
Here is a close-up of the bling~ Some Lime Green Stickles that I put on the inside of the card liner. Once my stickles were dry I adhered the liner in place.
But before I did that I used another file from the Silhouette store~ a set of Clovers
and attempted to cut some felt using the Cameo....didn't work so well but was able to give me the outline so I could complete the cut the rest of the way with scissors. To attach it to my card I ran a line of stitching through the cut. For sure added texture and dimension to the card :)

I hope you have enjoyed my project!
Now hop over to our host
Monica
at
for all the details and to see what the rest of the DT made!!

Happy St. Patty's Day~ PKS Sketch Challenge

Good Morning Everyone!!!
It is time again to share my PKS challenge card for this week.
I am trying REALLY hard to enter every challenge this year and so far I am doing that!
This week's challenge is a Sketch Challenge
Here is the sketch...
And here is my take on it! Hope you like it!!!
With St. Patty's Day right around the corner I thought it would be fun to get a jump start on my cards and use the sketch as my inspiration.
I added LOTS of layers to my card and stitched around each of the panels.
Here is a close-up of the adorable PK face....how can you not LOVE it~right?!?!?
I added some chalk cheeks and white gel pen doodles along with some stickles to his nose.
CUTE CUTE!!

Well that is it for today~
Thanks so much for stopping by and have a GREAT Hump Day!!!

It's Your Day Enjoy w/TAWS

Good Morning everyone!!
It is my DT day over at The Alley Way Stamps and I have another card using one of the new release stamp sets for this month.
If you have not checked out February's new release you can do so HERE!
They are super adorable!!!
So for my card today I wanted to play along with the sketch for this week over at
Seize The Birthday as well as the color combo challenge for Dynamic Duos

And here is the card I came up with. I hope you like it!
The challenge over at Seize the Birthday was to follow the sketch but to also make a masculine birthday card. I knew right away that this adorable robot from the Lighter Than Air stamp set would make a GREAT boy birthday card. What we tend to forget is that the outside of the card does not have to have the traditional "Happy Birthday" sentiment. I know I always write inside the card "Happy Birthday"....So with that said I thought that the sentiment I chose for the outside fit the card perfectly! What do you think??
It is from this month's release stamp set~ All About You
The Challenge for Dynamic Duos was another beautiful color combo~ Tempting Turquoise and Basic Black. I ended up coloring my robot image with those color combos and my paper from October Afternoon happened to be a very similar match as well. The "dessert" option for this weeks challenge was "clouds" and my card does not have actual clouds on the card itself but the "scene" I created was taken in the clouds...LOL!

Paper~White, Black

I Heart You w/Trendy Twine

Good Morning Everyone!!!
It is my DT day over on the Trendy Twine blog and I am very excited to share my project with you all!
This month we are featuring
 Cherry Cupcake Trendy Twine
A beautiful mix of Pink and Red Bakers Twine
Image of Valentine Cherry Cupcake Trendy Twine {Pink & Red Bakers Twine} Limited Edition
Since Valentine's Day has come and gone for another year we can not forget about sharing those "heart you" cards throughout the rest of the year as well....
So this is the card I made for just that occasion!!
I went with my favorite design~CAS and used a file from the Silhouette store for the adorable cut of the kiddo's.
Instead of using the original heart that came with the cut, I used a Fiskars heart punch~ one that was larger than the original heart and used the Cherry Cupcake twine to fill it in.
I really wanted the heart to be the focal point on the card!!
Here is a chose-up of the twine heart. I ended up adding glossy accents to the whole thing...it looks so pretty as shiny and as an added bonus...keeps the twine together :)
I also added a tiny bow to the little girls ponytail....LOVE the splash of color the twine gives this card~Don't you???
Finally the sentiment is from The Alley Way Stamps~ Mad Gab Stamp set!
It is a newbie stamp set for me and I LOVE all the fun sentiments :)

On a final note don't forget about the February challenge over at the Trendy Twine Blog.
"Sweets for My Sweetie"
You still have a few days to enter and all the details can be found HERE
We would LOVE to see all your projects!!!!

Onto my project....
On Tuesday was our annual Teacher Appreciation Luncheon which myself and another mom coordinate. It is the event that the teachers wait all school year for! We get volunteers from other parents to supply dishes and set lunch up buffet style. Well can you guess the theme for this year....LOL!
One of the "extra" things I do to make the event more special is make all the decorations and party favors...so here they are.....
Since the theme was Mardi Gras I wanted the decorations for the tables to be interactive. The atmosphere is very laid back during the lunch and the teachers tend to hang out, eat and chat so I made these 3 mask that they can pick up and put on.
This is the how the mask looked on the table...I added bead necklaces, coins and feathers as well.
Here is a close-up of the table...doesn't the mask look awesome on the table???
This is the invite that I made to post in the teacher's lounge
And finally these are the treats that the teachers left with. My husband and I ended up dipping 170 pretzels.....and believe it or not, they took next to no time to complete.
Talk about a HUGE hit!!!

So there it is....
What do you think???
I sure hope you have enjoyed my project and will play along with us over at the
Remember this challenge will run for 2 weeks so lots of time to get those Anything Goes projects in!!

Now onto my Valentine's Day Tag!
I made this tag to enter into a few challenges as well as to attach to my son's Valentine treat basket.
I hope you like it and sure hope he likes it!!!
I wanted to keep it cute but not too girly for him so I went with  distressing the edges on the tag and inking the edges of his name, the heart and the sentiment.
I also heat embossed the adorable PK face as well as the sentiment. It gives the face a much more dramatic look~ Don't you think?? I couldn't help but add some sparkle to his nose as well as some more stickles to the large brad.
