So Happy for you Graduate......{MCT Whatever Wednesday}

Good Morning everyone and welcome toWhatever Wednesday
withMy Creative Time!

Today I have a graduation card and matching treat box to share that I made in my kids school colors but of course these can be done in any color combo.
Take a look and let me know what you think....
A while ago I did a tutorial for MCT on how to make your own stencil using MCT dies. You can look back at that project HERE.
I saved that stencil and used it to make the background of this card and to decorate the Stitched Favor Box Die. Those stars for the stencil came from the Bunch of Stitched Stars.
Once the background was inked up with my red distress ink, I stamped the sentiment using the new Grad Night stamp/die set as well as die cutting the grad hat to pop up onto the front of my card. A small enamel dot helped to hold the tassel in place as well.
Finally to complete my card, I die cut and layered all the pieces of the card mat using the Stitched Rectangular Frame Die & More set.
A matching card and gift box all ready to give to the special graduate!

So what do you think???
I hope you like my project!
Thanks so much for stopping by and like always, please stop by the
MCT blog

Hi friend......{MCT Anything Goes}

Good Morning Everyone!
It is time for another MCT Anything Goes and I am sharing a project using the newly released die~ Stitched Favor Treat Die
This project was made for a friend to just share a sweet treat with but the BEST thing about this new die is you can use it for so many holidays, events, parties...well just about ANYTHING! Just change up the papers and sentiments and you are ready to give this treat!!!
To make my treat box, I used designer paper from Echo Park~ Magical Adventure. After die cutting the Stitched Favor Treat Die I put the box together and placed it aside to complete my tag.
The tag was made using several MCT dies and stamps.
For the circles, I used the Scallop Die from the Mini Stitched Lollipop and topped it with a circle from the More Stitched Circle Dies. The "Hi" sentiment is from the stamp set~ Home Sweet Home
For the "friend" part of the tag, I used the Sentiment Label Dies and made the banner smaller to fit the sentiment from the set, All you need is Coffee (which I actually took only a part of the sentiment)
I attached the sentiment tag to the treat box using some Trendy Twine and my project is ready to give!

So I hope you have enjoyed my treat!

MCT 67th New Release BIG Reveal & Blog Hop

Welcome to the 67th New Release from
 This has been such an AWESOME week of  amazing inspiration from the DT~ don't you think???
But there is one more day of projects with so lets get started....

You should be coming from the VERY talented
but if you are just stopping in, make sure to head back to the start~ the AMAZING
You are not going to want to miss a thing!

For my project, I get to showcase the following sets~
Stitched Petals (FREEBIE) & Scalloped Stitched Square Dies
and here are the cards I made using this set....
For my project I made a set of mini cards using the Scalloped Stitched Square Dies as my card bases. Each mini card measures 3X3 and are great for those just because cards.
Once I die cut all the bases, I used the square die that fits into the scalloped die to layer onto the card base. I did die cut each square 2 times, once using white cardstock for the under layer and then again in designer paper for the top layer. The top layer, the designer paper, was then die cut using the new Stitched Petals die. I adhered the two squares together and curled up the petals to add some dimension to my flowers. A matching enamel dot was added to the centers of each flower.
Finally I used the new stamp/die set~ The Adventure Begins for the sentiment.
My set of mini cards are ready to be used and the best thing about these cards is the HUGE assortment of sentiments that can be added as well as mixing up designer papers would give these a whole new look!

Now for the entire release.....

MCT 67th New Release Sneak Day 4~ Stitched Favor Box

Good Morning!!!
It is Day 4 of sneaks for the
67th New Release from
My Creative Time!

Today is a FAVORITE for me and I know you are all going to FLIP over our sneaks!
Introducing the
Stitched Favor Box
and here are the projects I made using them.....
How fun are these new Stitched Favor Boxes???
Since the end of the school year is almost here for us and I am sure for most of you too, I thought I would make some treats that would be perfect for that special end of the year teacher gifts.
To make these, I die cut the new Stitched Favor Boxes using kraft cardstock. I then stamped the cardstock several times with the cute apple and pencil images from the Write On stamp set. How about that~ custom designer paper!
I put the boxes together and placed them aside as I worked on the sentiment.
Using the Chocolate Greetings set, I stamped the sentiment onto the Ribbon End Banner and then tied the sentiment onto the top of the favor box using some Trendy Twine.
I felt the boxes were kinda plain so I grabbed the apple and pencil stamp/dies from All Around Everything 1 & 3 and colored them using my copics. The images were then attached to the banners to complete my projects!

and here is the card I made using these sets....
How sweet is that new Stitched Petal Die?
It fits perfectly in the new Stitched Square die that I then layered onto the Scalloped Die.
For the leaf, I did die cut that from the Stitched Pretty Flowers & Leaves Die and fit it behind the petal on the flower. To further embellish the flower, I did add an enamel dot to the center.
For the sentiment, I used the Floral Sentiments set and stamped it onto my card mat. I then added some trendy twine wrapped around the mat for the finishing touch of my card.
Everything was then layered onto a kraft cardstock base for my completed card.

Day 2 of sneaks for the
MCT 67th New Release!!!
Wasn't yesterdays sneaks just AMAZING???
Well today we have another ADORABLE set to showcase.....
Sea you Soon
and here is the card I made using that set......
I pulled out my copics again to color that super CUTE turtle and matching sea plant. They were both placed aside as I put the rest of my card together.
Like all of my cards start off, I used the Stitched Rectangular Frame Die for the card front and then die cut 2 of the More Stitched Circle Dies for the card sentiment.
Everything was layered onto a kraft cardstock card base and for some added embellishments, I used my Nuvo Enamel Dots.
A sweet, just because card for that "turtle-y awesome" friend!

I pulled out my copics for this card because I just had to stamp up and color that adorable new scooter stamp with the matching die!!
To make my card I started with the kraft cardstock base, added a layer of white cardstock and then die cut the designer paper (Hip Hip Hooray~ American Crafts) using the Stitched Rectangular Frame Die & More set.
Next I used matching designer paper and made my "hill" using the More Stitched Edges Die. This is also where I stamped my sentiment, which is part of the new set~ The Adventure Begins.
After stamping the scooter and the matching balloons, I colored them with my copics and popped both up onto the front of my card using some foam dots. An added Totally White Trendy Twine bow was tied onto the balloons for some extra detail.
The finishing touch for my card came with the adorable Fun Stitched Clouds.

Happiness is.....{MCT Tag it Tuesday}

Good Morning everyone!!
I hope you all had a wonderful weekend and happy Monday!
The weeks just seem to fly by here with such a busy schedule now that baseball season is in full swing, leaving very little time for what I love to do most~ sit back with a good book and a cup of coffee which brings me to todays post.....
MCT's Tag it Tuesday!
For today's project I made a bookmark/tag using the newly released set~ So Many Books.
To make my tag, I die cut the bookmark tag out using some designer paper from Lawn Fawn's Perfectly Plaid Winter paper pad. Next I stamped the sentiment using the set So Many Books (which BTW I just LOVE...LOL)
For the coffee cup, I pulled an older set out~ We're Better Together and die cut the coffee cup/coffee sleeve. I did paper piecedthe lid with white cardstock and then added the small heart, again using the set So Many Books.
An eyelet on top with some Trendy Twine completed my bookmark.

So I hope you have enjoyed my tag!

Happy 100th Birthday.....{MCT Cook & Craft}

Good Morning!
I am sharing a post today for MCT's Cook -N- Craft series where we get to make any kind of project BUT we also share a favorite recipe.
For my project today, I had a request from a friend to make a special birthday card for her grandma who is turning 100 on Tuesday. Since they are going to have a big birthday celebration, I also thought I would share one of my FAVORITE summer time salads that is perfect for a picnic, backyard b-b-que, or in my situation, a just because snack.
Let's take a look at my card first....
The birthday lady loves to garden and her favorite colors are yellow, pink, purple and green. I incorporated all of those colors into my springtime inspired card.
I used several MCT stamps and dies and love the way this bright and cheerful card turned out!
I started with a kraft cardstock base, added a layer of white cardstock and then die cut the pretty polka dot designer paper with the Stitched Rectangular Frame Die.
Using both the XL Label Die and the Stitched XL Label Die I made the focal part of my card. The adorable Watering Can Die is from this past new release~ and I added some pretty flowers from the Stitched Pretty Flowers & Leaves Dies.
Moving along on my card, I die cut the "100"  from the Stitched 4X6 Journal Dies and adhered them to my card front. Using the sentiment from Prehistoric Holidays, I stamped the Happy above the 100 and the Birthday below. I also added the "th" using the Write On stamp set.
Finally I finished my card by added a few hearts from another new release~ Thank You Mom.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Now onto my recipe.....
Again it is such a yummy salsa perfect for chips and makes the best side dish to take to a party. Let me tell you it will be gone in no time and is highly addictive!!
Ingredients
1 (15 ounce) can black-eyed peas
1 (15 ounce) can black beans, rinsed and drained
1 (15 ounce) can whole kernel corn, drained
1/2 cup chopped onion
1/2 cup chopped green bell pepper
1 (4 ounce) can diced jalapeno peppers
1 (14.5 ounce) can diced tomatoes, drained
1 cup Italian-style salad dressing
1/2 teaspoon garlic salt
Directions
In a medium bowl, combine black-eyed peas, black beans, corn, onion, green bell pepper, jalapeno peppers and tomatoes. Season with Italian-style salad dressing and garlic salt; mix well. Cover, and refrigerate overnight to blend flavors.
Serve with tortilla chips
So I hope you have enjoyed my card and yummy recipe!
