Just A Note to Say....{MCT I Need a Favor}

Good Morning everyone and welcome to another MCT "I need a Favor" post!
Today the DT is making "favor" projects using all the awesome MCt stamps and dies!
I have a fun project to share using the newly released "Hearts & Flowers" set from our mini release this past weekend! If you didn't get a chance to check out the new stamps and dies from that release, you can see my project HERE as well as our release HERE
Lets take a look at my project and please let me know what you think....
The super sweet Hearts & Flower stamps make a great background, especially when I added it to the 2X2 Note Holder Die.
 I first stamped the hearts and flowers onto some white cardstock and then die cut the pattern using the 2x2 Note Holder Die.
Once it was die cut, I colored the flowers and hearts in with my copic markers and added the little post it notes inside.
For the sentiment, I used the Thank You Mom set and stamped it onto one of the Strip Sentiment Dies.
Popped up the sentiment onto the front of the note holder as well as added some hemp twine and my project was completed!

Wishing you a Happy Mother's Day...{MCT Just Cards}

Good Morning everyone!
It is my day to post on the MCT blog for "Just Cards" and I have a Mother's Day card to share that I made for my MIL.
Take a look and let me know what you think...
My mother in law's favorite color is purple so of course I had to make her card with as much purple as I could :)
To make my card I used the Stitched Rectangular Frame Die (unavailable at this time~ sorry) for the purple cardstock that was layered onto a piece of white cardstock and then mounted onto a kraft cardstock base.
For the sentiment, I used the Thank You Mom stamp set and the More Chunky Tag Dies
layering them and adhearing them to the top of my card.
That beautiful flower is from the Stay Beautiful set. I inked the edges in purple and popped it up onto the card front. I did place some greens behind the flower using the Stitched Pretty Flowers & Leaves Die.
Some random enamal dots completed my card. I sure hope my mother in law loves it!

So I hope you have enjoyed my card! As always I appreciate you stopping by for MCT's Just Cards post.
For more inspiration make sure to head over to the MCT blog and check out what the rest of the DT has to share!

Thanks so much for stopping by today and have a GREAT Thursday!
Stay safe out there!

Happy 100th Birthday.....{MCT Cook & Craft}

Good Morning!
I am sharing a post today for MCT's Cook -N- Craft series where we get to make any kind of project BUT we also share a favorite recipe.
For my project today, I had a request from a friend to make a special birthday card for her grandma who is turning 100 on Tuesday. Since they are going to have a big birthday celebration, I also thought I would share one of my FAVORITE summer time salads that is perfect for a picnic, backyard b-b-que, or in my situation, a just because snack.
Let's take a look at my card first....
The birthday lady loves to garden and her favorite colors are yellow, pink, purple and green. I incorporated all of those colors into my springtime inspired card.
I used several MCT stamps and dies and love the way this bright and cheerful card turned out!
I started with a kraft cardstock base, added a layer of white cardstock and then die cut the pretty polka dot designer paper with the Stitched Rectangular Frame Die.
Using both the XL Label Die and the Stitched XL Label Die I made the focal part of my card. The adorable Watering Can Die is from this past new release~ and I added some pretty flowers from the Stitched Pretty Flowers & Leaves Dies.
Moving along on my card, I die cut the "100"  from the Stitched 4X6 Journal Dies and adhered them to my card front. Using the sentiment from Prehistoric Holidays, I stamped the Happy above the 100 and the Birthday below. I also added the "th" using the Write On stamp set.
Finally I finished my card by added a few hearts from another new release~ Thank You Mom.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Now onto my recipe.....
Again it is such a yummy salsa perfect for chips and makes the best side dish to take to a party. Let me tell you it will be gone in no time and is highly addictive!!
Ingredients
1 (15 ounce) can black-eyed peas
1 (15 ounce) can black beans, rinsed and drained
1 (15 ounce) can whole kernel corn, drained
1/2 cup chopped onion
1/2 cup chopped green bell pepper
1 (4 ounce) can diced jalapeno peppers
1 (14.5 ounce) can diced tomatoes, drained
1 cup Italian-style salad dressing
1/2 teaspoon garlic salt
Directions
In a medium bowl, combine black-eyed peas, black beans, corn, onion, green bell pepper, jalapeno peppers and tomatoes. Season with Italian-style salad dressing and garlic salt; mix well. Cover, and refrigerate overnight to blend flavors.
Serve with tortilla chips
So I hope you have enjoyed my card and yummy recipe!
Wishing you a Happy Mother's Day......{MCT Too Die For Tuesday}
Good morning everyone!
I am sharing a card today for My Creative Time's
"Too Die For Tuesday"
This is where we share ideas on how to stretch your dies.
Since Mother's Day is right around the corner, I got a jump start on making my MIL her card.
She loves to color purple and here is the card I made for her....
I used lots of MCT dies for this card, and created an ombre effect using the More Stitched Edges Dies.
I started by die cutting each of the purple cardstock colors with the Stitched Rectangular Frame Die~(size medium) Then using the wave die, I cut the each of the colors to the size I wanted, making sure each piece fit into the piece next to it....like a puzzle. I was able to have the stitching on both the tops and bottoms of each panel as well as the wave stitching thought each section. The sections were then taped on the backside and a piece of foam was added to pop the whole panel up onto the white cardstock mat.
Before popping it up and adding the foam to the backside, I used the newly released set~ Thank You Mom and die cute the flower right into the panel. Since it was now the negative section, I could add the green cardstock to the backside for the stem and I popped up the purple flower onto the front. Some fun dimension as well as a pop of color.
To complete my card, I die cut the largest of the Small Treat Labels in white cardstock and stamped my sentiment using again the new release set~ Thank You Mom
What do you think of my card? I hope I gave you another idea on how to use those awesome MCT dies!!!
