Harry Potter Journal w/Bugaboo

Hi Bloggers!

Hoping everyone is enjoying that today is FRIDAY!
I am having a hard time believing it is almost August....where has our summer gone?
My kiddos get their teacher letters tomorrow and my phone will ring from morning till night with "who did you get".

Well one of my youngest son's friends is a HUGE Harry Potter fan. When I say HUGE is mean he talks about Harry Potter from morning till night and knows everything there is to know about Harry!
He is 8 and has just finished the 5th book...he is so proud and can not wait to get started on number 6.

I was telling him about the journal I made for my other son and he said he would really like a journal also :)
I made it for him and he will get it probably Monday or Tuesday.
I used a digi's from Bugaboo Stamps that I purchased awhile ago and had never printed and colored.
Harry was colored with my copics then cut and pasted to the front cover.
The paper is from Creative Imaginations~ Harry Potter line and I have yet to see it again :(
I took a notebook I found one clearance, painted the covers and distressed it alittle to give the look of a worn book.

This is the inside back cover with Hermione.
I did add some stickers that came with the kit..like Harry Potter on the front cover and these on this page.
I wanted to keep the book simple because it is a gift for an 8 year old.

I just LOVE how the digi's turned out and I'm loving my copics more and more every time I color with them. I do have to invest in a few more colors and they are on the LIST :)
The one that grows every time I see something new come out!

Thanks for stopping by.
Have a GREAT night and see you all tomorrow!

I'm Sorry

Hi Everyone!

I feel like I have been neglecting my blog lately. I know I have posted but I have had some creativity blocks the past few days.
I have all these ideas...all these challenges I want to enter yet every time I sit down to create I draw a blank or my idea doesn't seem to work :(
My computer has been acting up...my files doing funky things so maybe that has something to do with it.

Anyways I did manage to do some coloring today and I used this super cute Bugaboo freebie from a few weeks ago.
Don't you just love the knobby knees kids?!?!?

This very simple card was colored with my copics and the sentiment says it all.

Sorry about the short post...not visiting and commenting and hopefully my mojo will return!

Have a good night!

Whimsical Wednesdays Challenge #16~ Fun with Folds

Good Morning Bloggers!
It is time for another Whimsical Wednesdays Challenge
This weeks challenge is~~ Fun With Folds
Create a CARD that is anything but a shape or A2 style. For example an easel, gatefold, waterfall.

For my card I made a Twisted Easel Card
Here it is closed~ It is an A2 size but when you open it...

It looks like this!!!

I love making these fun and VERY easy cards....

Here are the details to make your own...

Start with your base color cut at 4 1/4 x 9 3/4

Score at 5 1/2

Then score diagonally~ corner to inside corner

Fold on the score lines and decide how you want your card to twist. Cut a top layer at 4 1/4 x 5 1/2
Attach that top layer to your diagonal fold. You can see mine attached here. It makes an A2 size card when folded up
But here is what it looks like opened!

Now decorate away!

For my project today I used the Simply Charmed Cartridge and cut the baby buggy at 3 1/2".
The bottle and pacifier are cut at 2"
The sentiment is cut at 1 1/2".
I added PKS~ Simple Sallies to the baby, bottle and pacifier.
Blinged up the wheels with Bo Bunny brads.
Added 2 stamped images with a baby stamp set from the dollar bin :)
Alittle stickles to the cut sentiment and some white gel pen doodles around the wheels.

So I hope you like my Twisted Easel.
I would love to see you join us this week over at Whimsical Wednesdays. Make sure you visit Whimsical Wednesdays to see the other DT's projects and link up your Fun Fold Card.

Thanks for stopping by!

Time for Another Digi Monday over at Paper Playtime!!

Morning everyone!!

It is time again for another Digi Monday over at Paper Playtime!

This week's theme is Summer~ How appropriate given the temps here have been in the 90's and sooooo hot!
I was able to work with 2 different stamp companies this week
&

My first card is from Di's Digi Downloads
I really enjoyed coloring this image...Every chance we get we heads down to our family's summer home and my boys LOVE to fish so this was made with them in mind.
I colored this image with my copics~which I love working with and feel I am getting better each and every time I color (nothing like a pat on the back right?!?!?)
The sentiment is computer generated and the embellishments I found at Joanne on clearance.
I did add some glossy accents to the water but I think it is really hard to see in the picture.

Next I was able to work with Anary and Florist Gilli
.
Isnt she just the sweetest?! I took to the sentiment and really made a very simple card.
Again I colored her with my copics and added a little white gel pen on her cheeks and in her hair.
The sentiment is from My Creative Time~This and That stamp set.

I hope you enjoyed my Digi Monday cards and will play along with us over at Paper Playtime.

Thanks for stopping by and can not wait to see what your create :)

The Paper used is from my scrap but I believe it is Cloud 9
The cuts are from Simply Charmed and the photo mat scallops were cut with SCAL and a file from Cheryl's Cute Bugs.
I used the PK faces Simple Sallies for the lettering and Everyday Characters for the baby.
I left lots of room on the sides for journaling and 2 large mats for pictures.

Bugaboo Christmas In July~~ 3 More Card Entries

image

So here is my take on it:
I used the Knobby Knees~ Christmas Candy Cane and colored her with my copics.

Thursday's Challenge was Snow Themed

Here is Stella~ Christmas Sled also colored with my copics.
I think Stella is one of my favorites!! She is just too funny :)

Friday's (today's) challenge was Anything Goes~ Christmas Related
I used today's freebie~ Deacon Christmas.
Again he was colored with my copics.

I am so excited that I got all these done. I just love Bugaboo Stamps!

Another Way To Use Your Scraps~

Morning Bloggers!

This week over at Whimsical Wednesdays the challenge is to use your scraps
So I wanted to share another way you can use all your small scraps to create.

I have a very hard time throwing out any designer paper so I am always left with strips that are too small to cut with yet too big to throw away. I'm sure there are some of these in your piles :)

What I did was pick out some coordinating paper
I thought I would make a Christmas card since I have to start making my cards and it is Christmas in July all over Blogging World!

I cut my strips into 1 x 1 inch squares

And attached them to a Shipping Label to make a patchwork design.
Your completed patchwork is now ready to cut and I do have to say even though it is thicker it still cuts great with the cricut

Here is my completed card!
I used Create a Critter for the tree and just hid the face.
I added it to a simple z fold card and stamped my sentiment in the upper corner.
Since it was alittle plain I added some Candi's to the corners in opposite colors.
I didn't want to add too much to take away from the patchwork tree.

There you have it~~ another fun and easy way to use up your scraps.
I hope you will join us over at Whimsical Wednesdays for this fun challenge.

Whimsical Wednesday Challenge Day~~ Use your Scraps~~

Hi everyone!

It is another Whimsical Wednesday Challenge day and even though it is not my week to design I did want to share my scraps and a simple card.
I have posted about this before but I know we all have TONS of scraps so this is a GREAT chance to play along with my fellow DT members.
So share your scraps and craft a card or two clear out all those scraps!

I went from this~~

To this~~card mats 5 1/4 x 4 to fit a A2 card

Here is one of my cards that I made using a scrap piece of paper turned card mat.
All I had to do was match the ribbon, and add the rosette which was also a scrap.

Oh how I love using up all my scraps!! Most of my card mats are all used from precut A2 mats. It makes it so much easier to pick and choose instead of shuffling though my massive amount of scrap.

So I hope you all join us over at Whimsical Wednesdays and show us your scraps!
Remember you have 2 weeks to link up :)

Ruby Christmas Tree~Bugaboo Christmas in July Challenge

Hi Bloggers!

It's Christmas in July over at Catch The Bug Challenge Blog and today's challenge was to use the freebie image~ Ruby Christmas Tree. Isn't she a rip!

I colored her with my copics and added some white gel pen doodles....very little just some on the ornaments and her Star..just for alittle extra!

She was put on My Minds Eye~ Sweet Dreams Holiday Avenue paper which I picked up last year and have yet to use.

The sentiment is a CTMH stamp mini that I won a while back and remembered that I had. It is up on a Recollection dimensional sticker, inked with evergreen chalk.

Hope you all like it and I will be back with another Christmas card for tomorrows challenge.

Thanks for stopping by and have a GREAT night :)

My 1st Toilet Paper Roll Mini

Hi everyone!

I wanted to share with you all my 1st toilet paper roll mini.
As I was blog hopping the other day...Janis over at Pause Dream Enjoy posted a mini as well as a challenge.
When I first started blogging in January and watching every YouTube video, searching every tutorial out there I came across these super cute minis.
I started saving my toilet paper rolls with the intention of making my own.
That did not happen until I was again reminded of this project.
So here is the start of my project~ Thanks Janis for the Challenge :)
My rolls are all covered with K & Company~ Americana Paper
The first page has the matching Americana chipboard pieces and 3 of the 6 pages have the tags that came with the Diecut pack.
I added some red/white and blue ribbon to the binder clip as well as some fun fur. Oh I love fun fur but it can be so messy when you cut :)
I have the pictures for this album all printed out and will show you more of the album as I get it completed.

Hope you all like it :)

Whimsical Wednesdays Challenge #14~~Some Interactive Fun~~

Good Morning Bloggers!!
It is time for another Whimsical Wednesday Challenge!
This weeks Challenge #14 ~~Some Interactive Fun~~
Create a LO with movement...whether it is a pull out tag, slider, waterfall....anything that will move.

This is my project
My son was chosen as 1 of 4 kids to play in the Minor League All Star Game. His team~the Nationals~ was such a well run team and the coaches so helpful thoughout the entire season that Parker not only learned so much about baseball but his skills improved greatly! I was so honored that they chose Parker to play and after talking with the coaches...they chose him because of his improvement and all the skills he learned throughout the season. His love for baseball has gone as far as wanting to try out in September for the Clarence Travel Team~9U. They are an intense travel team...practicing all winter and then playing throughout the spring and summer.....We will see when tryouts are here :)
I was so excited and so very proud of him, his team mates and the way they played in the All Star game that I had to make my LO right after the game and preserve that memory immediately :)
My movement for this Challenge are the tags. I made 2 using my gypsy~ Tags, Bags, Boxes and More Cartridge and the Sports Mania Cartridge.
I made my tag base and then welded a shadow Baseball to the top.
I then cut the baseball layers and attached them to form my tags.
Before attaching the baseballs, I stamped journaling lines
Here you can see my journal tags

Up close of the tags....I added in my white gel pen the stats of the game...some highlights of the day.

I love how this came out and Parker loved it so much it is already hanging in his room.

Some extra details about this LO....
The "My All Star" cut is a free SVG file I found over at SVGCuts.com. It was jsut perfect for this LO.
The embellishments are from EK Success.
I used my white Sakura Gel Pen for the journaling.
The paper is from Carolees Creations & Company and was one of the packs I picked up at the CKC Convention. The great thing about this paper...it was only $1 for 6 pages :)

So I hope you will join us over at Whimsical Wednesdays for this week's challenge!
Make sure to stop by the Whimsical Wednesdays blog to see all the DT imspiration and to welcome the new DT members.
ALSO~~~
This week Kimberly from My Craft Spot is our sponsor. She has donated a $15.00 gift certificate to her store. Thank you Kimberly.

I made a card today for 2 challenges~
Birthday Sundaes~Summery colors~~white/green/orange
&
M.A.G Challenge by the Page~ Simply Charmed Cartridge page 39

My A2 card is on a white base with a green layer and another white layer.
I cut my flower out at 5" and hid the face so I could stamp my own PKS~Simple Sallies Face.
I used my white gel pen for some doodling and attached my sentiment with a fun square paperclip.
The sentiment is one I won from The Cutting Cafe. It is from the Everyday 1" Circle Greetings.
