Another Way To Use Your Scraps~

Morning Bloggers!

This week over at Whimsical Wednesdays the challenge is to use your scraps
So I wanted to share another way you can use all your small scraps to create.

I have a very hard time throwing out any designer paper so I am always left with strips that are too small to cut with yet too big to throw away. I'm sure there are some of these in your piles :)

What I did was pick out some coordinating paper
I thought I would make a Christmas card since I have to start making my cards and it is Christmas in July all over Blogging World!

I cut my strips into 1 x 1 inch squares

And attached them to a Shipping Label to make a patchwork design.
Your completed patchwork is now ready to cut and I do have to say even though it is thicker it still cuts great with the cricut

Here is my completed card!
I used Create a Critter for the tree and just hid the face.
I added it to a simple z fold card and stamped my sentiment in the upper corner.
Since it was alittle plain I added some Candi's to the corners in opposite colors.
I didn't want to add too much to take away from the patchwork tree.

There you have it~~ another fun and easy way to use up your scraps.
I hope you will join us over at Whimsical Wednesdays for this fun challenge.

  5. Another great patchwork creation, Jessica! Love it! I tried this technique when you shared it back in April -- I made an Easter bunny using my scraps. It's an excellent way to use all those little pieces up, but does take a little time.--Pat

  8. OMG...this is amazing. Love the patchwork tree. So creative, and I love the warm feel the patchwork gives a card. I have never seen anything like this before Jess..gee this really is cool. As I was reading your post I immediatly thought this would be a great way to use the post it paper. You could apply all the pattern paper to the sticky side of the paper and then cut away! Super cool, I am going to have to try this out. You totally need to link this up at WW...I did not see it over there.
