Favorite Project of 2013.....{The Kraft Journal}

Good Morning and Happy Monday Everyone!
It is time for a new challenge over at
 The Kraft Journal!

This week the challenge is:
Favorite Project of 2013

Wow what an awesome year it has been for me with TKJ DT. I have enjoyed being a part of and designing with the fun products that you can purchase at The Kraft Outlet. I hope I have inspired you with some of my projects.
With that being said, this is my final project as a DT member for The Kraft Journal :(
I have chosen to step down to pursue other crafty avenues and it would only be fair to my family, my blog and the DT members on this awesome team to give up some of my obligations to take on others. I value my work so much as well as the time I put into my blog that some things eventually have to be let go.

Now that all the mushy stuff is out of the way I can share one of my favorite projects of 2013, a birthday card I made for my son for the RED, WHITE and BLUE challenge.
You can see the original post HERE.
Enjoy everyone!
I started out with a Brown Kraft Cardstock base and added a mat of Peebles Let Freedom Ring pattern paper.  Using my cameo and a star file from the Silhouette store, I cut 2 stars....one using the kraft and another one using some Bazzill blue. Since there is no white in my pattern paper, I added some white gel pen doodles (wanted to make sure I was following TKJ challenge) Again since this is for my son's 10th birthday I added the number's "1" and "0" using Tim Holtz Mini Numerals and popping them up using some foam adhesive.
I wanted my sentiment to be on some Cream Twill Tape , so I stamped The Alley Way Stamp Wish BIG birthday sentiment using  Stazon Black Ink directly onto the ribbon. Didn't it turn out awesome????? To finish my card up I added one of my favorite embellishments from The Kraft Outlet~ the Custom FastenersTwo of the stickers that come with this set were a perfect match to my card!

So there you have it....my inspiration for this week's challenge.
I hope you have enjoyed my card and will play along with us!
As always I have linked all the supplies I used from The Kraft Outlet throughout my description.  If you have not checked out the store yet....make sure you do! There is so much available, the prices are so reasonable and shipping is super fast!!!

Thanks so much for stopping by and have a GREAT Monday!!

Merry Christmas...{Trendy Twine & PKS}

Good Morning!!
I just wanted to pop in and wish everyone a VERY Merry Christmas!
May you homes be filled with happiness, love and many wonderful memories!

A few of the Trendy Twine DT members are sharing some Christmas cards to wish all our Trendy Twine fans a Merry Christmas so make sure to head over to the Trendy Twine blog to see what they have created as well.

For my card I used the current photo inspiration from Peachy Keen Stamps (pic can be seen below) and some Holly Berry Trendy Twine for this cute package inspired card.
This is the final challenge of 2013 over at PKS and I am so very proud to say that I have completed every weekly challenge this year and entered all of their new release challenges as well! So with that being said here is the final project for PKS for 2013!

I colored that adorable PKS elf using my copic markers and also paper pieced his hat and outfit using matching pattern papers from Echo Park~ Season's Greeting paper pack. For his hat and mittens, I added some stickles, just for alittle extra sparkle :)
 Then for the card itself, I wanted it to look like a package so I wrapped some Holly Berry Trendy Twine and some green ribbon from my stash around the card mat. I tied the twine on the front and used it to hold my PTI tag in place.

Supplies Used:
Paper~ Kraft, Bazzill Green
Echo Park~Season's Greetings
Stamps~ Peachy Keen Stamps~Skip the Elf
Peachy Keen Stamps~Christmas Tag Minis
Dies~PTI Tag Die
Embellishments~ Trendy Twine~Holly Berry

Merry Christmas Easel Card......{PKS Challenge}

Good Morning Everyone!!!
Another very snowy day here :( I think we are somewhere around the 2' mark for snow from the last 3 days. Great for the kids to play in, but not for driving!!
It's a GREAT thing that I got my grocery shopping done yesterday as well as picked up the last of my Christmas shopping. Now to wrap, bake and finish some last minute gifts!!

 I wanted to share another Christmas card I made for the current Peachy Keen Stamps challenge.

Peachy Keen Challenge 13-49 :: Just Cards :: Glitter
PKS-Challenge
So for my entry, I made a twisted easel designed Christmas card.
I think it turned out really pretty...here it is. Hope you like it :)
These types of cards are never easy to photograph.. Looks ok right??
Anyways I used non traditional colors as my color theme, picking papers from MME~Merry Little Christmas paper pack. Once I had the base of my card put together, I added a layer of white cardstock, followed by my designer paper and then stitched a decorative border around the frame. I stamped my Christmas tree onto the card and paper pieced it using more papers from the same paper pack. The next photo shows the tree closer :)
I stamped the sentiment from My Creative Time~Gift Card Sentiments on the inside and the outside of the card and embellished with some stickles on the tree, star die cuts and added a corner ribbon bow using some 3GJ Ribbon Candy Crinkle Ribbon.

Here is the close-up of the tree. I used the PKS~Santa Tree set and paper pieced the whole thing again using papers from the MME paper pack. To add some sparkle to the tree, I added some silver stickles to random spots on the tree, added some Cotton Candy stickles to the stripes under the tree and to the die cut star on top of the tree.

Supplies Used:
Paper~ Kraft, White, MME~Merry Little Christmas
Stamps~ PKS~12 Santa Tree
My Creative Time~ Gift Card Sentiments
Dies~My Creative Time~All Around Holidays
Embellishments~ Sewing Machine
3GJ Ribbon Candy Crinkle Ribbon
Stickles
Pop dots

So there is my card.
I hope you like it!
Thanks so very much for stopping by and have a GREAT Tuesday!!

Merry Christmas Pillow Boxes.....{TKJ #151}

Good Morning and Happy Monday Everyone!
It is time for a new challenge over at
 The Kraft Journal!
This week the challenge is:
Something New

This is what I came up with.... Hope you like it!
I started out my project with the plain Small Kraft Pillow Boxes, and decorated them with snowflakes from PKS using white ink. That was my "something new"~ adding stamping to my otherwise plain box. You can really dress up these packages to fit any holiday or theme, with the possibilities unless! You could also emboss these boxes which would give them another totally different look. I will save that idea for another time :)
Once my boxes were dry, I filled them with some chocolate (these are gifts for my boys bus driver's) and went about with my embellishments.
Using some White Twill Tape, I wrapped them around the boxes and tied them in a bow. Before I did that though, I made the tags that are attached to each of the packages. I started out with the White X~Small Tags and stamped my sentiment from MCT~ Tiny Tag Holidays stamp set. I also added a die cut Christmas Tree, also from MCT but the All Around Holidays Stamp set. Since these would be handled by my kiddo's, I added an eyelet on each of the tags, just for some extra strength.

So there you have it....
my inspiration for this week's challenge.
I hope you have enjoyed my card and will play along with us!
As always I have linked all the supplies I used from The Kraft Outlet throughout my description.  If you have not checked out the store yet....make sure you do! There is so much available, the prices are so reasonable and shipping is super fast!!!

Holiday Gifts w/Ribbon.....{3GJ Challenge #31}

Morning and Happy Friday everyone!!

I am back hosting the final challenge for 2013 for 3 Girl JAM.
 This is also the last challenge that I will be hosting as well. After over 2 years on the DT I have decided to step down to pursue other opportunities. I have enjoyed SO much being the DT Challenge Coordinator and working with Julie's gorgeous ribbon! Since I am such a HUGE fan of it, you will be sure to see me sharing LOTS more projects using it as well. I will have one more posting to share on Dec 27th so make sure to check that out as well. It will be a look back at some of my favorite projects!
So with that out of the way :( I want to share that 3GJ is having a DT call!
you can find out all the details HERE!
Julie is awesome to work with and like I said before~her ribbon is AWESOME!!

Now onto this week's challenge which is~
Holiday Gifts w/Ribbon

The challenge will be open for 3 weeks,
Dec 13th~ Jan 2nd 2014
so plenty of time to create and share!!

Our challenge is being sponsored by:
3 Girl JAM
with a $10 Gift Certificate to the 3Girl JAM store!
Awesome prizes for sure!!!!
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Now onto my project!
I wanted to make something little that could be mass produced and handed out as holiday gifts to co-workers, neighbors, teachers, or just about anyone who you need a gift for.
I picked up these cute mini paint pails from Michaels and came up with these....
Since the pails were plain...I used my cameo and some vinyl to cut this adorable reindeer.
After the vinyl was applied, of course it needed a cute tag! I used the Tiny Tags Die from My Creative Time and the Tiny Tag Holidays stamp set for the sentiment and tied it to the handle of the pain with some of the new Ribbon Candy Crinkle Ribbon from 3GJ
I only picked up 2 buckets and will have to head back to Michael's to get some more. What a super fun way to give a Holiday Gift~don't you think???
I sure hope you have enjoyed my project and will play along with us over at the
Remember this challenge will run for 3 weeks so lots of time to get your
Holiday Gifts w/Ribbon
projects in!!
Thanks so very much for stopping by!!
Have a GREAT Friday!!
Happy Holiday Ornament....{PKS Challenges}
Good Morning and Happy Hump Day Everyone!
I have a PEACHY project for you today......
I can not wait to share this fun ornament I made for the current Peachy Keen Stamps Challenge!
Peachy Keen Challenge ~ 13-48
3-D Objects ~ Hang It On A Tree
PKS-Challenge
Create a 3-Dimensional  item of your choosing, but bear in mind that this needs to be something that you would hang on a tree.  This can be an ornament, garland, or whatever tickles your fancy!
I recently was a HUGE PKS blog hop prize winner and OMG I was so excited to see all the fun stamps that Peachy Keen sent me! It has been super busy around here with a sick kiddo, holiday shopping and planning that I had not gotten a chance to play with my goodies...until now :)
I used 2 new stamp sets and a 3" bottle cap to make this ornament....
I hope you like it!
I am super pretty excited with how this turned out :)
The 3" bottle cap I have had in my stash forever, just waiting for a time when I could use it. After seeing the adorable peekers from the PKS set, I knew that they would look adorable inside them~ and they fit perfectly too!!!
There are 2 more cute images on that stamp set~ a penguin and a ginger so I will be finishing up the "series" and making more of these ornaments with those as well.
Supplies Used:
Paper~ Echo Park~Winter Park
White Cardstock
Stamps~ Peachy Keen Stamps~Winter Peekers & Phrases
Peachy Keen Stamps~ Deputy T.O Snow
Holiday Gifts....{TKJ}
Good Morning and Happy Monday Everyone!
It is time for a new challenge over at
 The Kraft Journal!
This week the challenge is:
Holiday Gifts
 I came up with this project.
A 12 Days till  Christmas Advent Calendar that I made for my son.
Seeing that I have 2 boys, another calendar is in the works :)
I hope you like my inspiration!
Here is how I made this...
I started out with a Brown Kraft Cover Weight Cardstock  base and a file I downloaded from Lori Whitlock. Once all the pieces for the boxes were cut and assembled, I cut the corresponding pieces for the tops of the boxes, sides of the calendar and top of the calendar using some Buff Ivory Cover Weight Cardstock and designer papers from Simple Stories.
To make the numbers for each of the boxes which will be filled for my son with some treats, I die cut the stars and circles using My Creative Time~ Build a Banner set  and stamped the numbers in the center of the circles using My Creative Time~Type Calendar stamp set.
For the next part of my project, I added a matching tag and some gorgeous ribbon for added details. To make the tag, I started with a Small Kraft Shipping Tag and added a sticker that matched my designer paper~ a Christmas Tree from the Simple Stories 12 Days of Christmas set. For the sentiment on the Christmas Tree, I added some stickers from the Chit Chat Seasonal Word Stickers.
So there you have it....
my inspiration for this week's challenge.
I hope you have enjoyed my card and will play along with us!
As always I have linked all the supplies I used from The Kraft Outlet throughout my description.  If you have not checked out the store yet....make sure you do! There is so much available, the prices are so reasonable and shipping is super fast!!!
I have several cards to share with you today....the first one is using the adorable
I started with a black card base and added some designer paper from the DCWV~Home for Christmas paper pack. I added some zig zag machine stitching to the border and then tied some Totally Black Trendy Twine to a cute heart button.
For the main image, I stamped the cute snowman, added some color with my copic markers and then cut a frame around the snowman using my cameo. He was then popped up on my die cut Stitched XL Label Die from My Creative Time. Since the frame was black, I stamped the sentiment in white using some Colorbox Frost White Pigment ink.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
For my next project, I made a set of  5 cards, all the same design but with different sentiments/pattern paper using the Holiday Wishes Stamp Set and a sketch from an older Retro Sketch design. You can click on the pics to bring them up larger if you want.
I used designer paper from My Mind's Eye~Lost & Found Christmas for all the cards. Each one is on a Kraft cardstock base, layered with a Bazzill card stock mat and the matching designer paper. For the embellishments, I used the matching enamel dots.
These cards are CAS, easy to replicate and make a great holiday card to mail to friends and family.

So there are my projects....I hope you have enjoyed them!!!!
