Good Morning!
I am sharing a post today for MCT's Cook -N- Craft series where we get to make any kind of project BUT we also share a favorite recipe.
For my project today, I had a request from a friend to make a special birthday card for her grandma who is turning 100 on Tuesday. Since they are going to have a big birthday celebration, I also thought I would share one of my FAVORITE summer time salads that is perfect for a picnic, backyard b-b-que, or in my situation, a just because snack.

Let's take a look at my card first....
The birthday lady loves to garden and her favorite colors are yellow, pink, purple and green. I incorporated all of those colors into my springtime inspired card.
I used several MCT stamps and dies and love the way this bright and cheerful card turned out!
I started with a kraft cardstock base, added a layer of white cardstock and then die cut the pretty polka dot designer paper with the Stitched Rectangular Frame Die.
Using both the XL Label Die and the Stitched XL Label Die I made the focal part of my card. The adorable Watering Can Die is from this past new release~ and I added some pretty flowers from the Stitched Pretty Flowers & Leaves Dies.
Moving along on my card, I die cut the "100" from the Stitched 4X6 Journal Dies and adhered them to my card front. Using the sentiment from Prehistoric Holidays, I stamped the Happy above the 100 and the Birthday below. I also added the "th" using the Write On stamp set.
Finally I finished my card by added a few hearts from another new release~ Thank You Mom.

Now onto my recipe.....
Again it is such a yummy salsa perfect for chips and makes the best side dish to take to a party. Let me tell you it will be gone in no time and is highly addictive!!
