MCT Inspire Me Wednesday

Good Morning and happy hump day!!!
It's time for My Creative Time and the DT's
Inspire Me Wednesday!

My inspiration today comes from another Pinterest board of mine and in particular THIS pin...
I LOVE playing with vinyl and even have an Etsy store HERE where I sell my custom vinyl water bottles so when I was looking for some new ideas for gift giving I came across these adorable ring dishes. Well I immediately knew I wanted to make some with MCT dies!
How fun are these?? And the possibilities are endless for decorating them!!!
Let;s take a closer look at each one and the MCT dies used on them....
First up is this sweet Valentine's Day Ring Dish. I should also mention that you do not have to use them as ring/jewelry dishes. Things, blings and desktop babbles are also perfect for these!!
I used red vinyl for the heart and black vinyl for the "love" sentiment". These dies cut through the vinyl so nice and leave such a clean cut!

Here is the personalized ring dish I made for myself :)
I used the Bunch of Fun Circle Dies for the circle and how awesome is it that the die even left the border cut in the vinyl! It gives it such a nice added texture!
For some extra details on my dish I added matching black and gold polka dots.

So what do you think??
It is always fun to find new uses for stamps and dies and in this case personalizing something in a fun and unique way.
I will be placing these in my Etsy store so if you are looking for a gift please consider checking my shop out HERE.

BOO....Inspire Me Wednesday w/MCT

Good Morning everyone!
It's time for another
My Creative Time Inspire Me Wednesday.
If you are new to my blog or to what Inspire Me Wednesday is all about, it is
where the DT makes a project of our choice based on an inspiration subject.

My inspiration came from searching Pinterest where I came across this Halloween card
I took the design concept of both cards and came up with this adorable card....

I started my card with a white cardstock base and added a layer of Authentique~Spirited designer paper die cut using the largest Stitched Rectangular Frame Die. Next I took the newest Stitched Squares Inside and Out dies and made my card focal point. 2 of the square dies were used for that, the largest cut in black cardstock and the 4 smaller ones using matching purple designer paper, again from the Authentique paper pad. For the "Boo" sentiment, I used the Uppercase Fun Dies (LOVE those letters!) and the adorable ghost is from the newest release~ Too Cute to Spook. Since he really is too cute to spook I added some googly eyes and popped him up onto the square frame.
My final embellishing for my card was a May Arts Orange ribbon banner that I stapled onto the top of my card mat.

Already Missing You......{MCT Inspire Me Wednesday}

Good Morning everyone!
It's time for another
My Creative Time Inspire Me Wednesday.
If you are new to my blog or to what Inspire Me Wednesday is all about, it is
where the DT makes a project of our choice based on an inspiration subject.

My inspiration comes from the current
MCT Designers Challenge Sketch and Photo Inspiration
You can find out all the details on this month's challenge by clicking HERE.
There is still plenty of time to get creating and play along!!

For my card I used both the sketch and I pulled colors from the photo inspiration and designed this card.
I flipped the sketch just a bit to add the new Stitched Doily Die in front of the banner piece. I wanted the pretty papers to be seen more as well as the details on the doily die.
Both the sentiment and that adorable flamingo are from the newly released Already Missing You stamp and die set! I just love that Emma is adding dies with all of her adorable images!!!

Inspire Me Wednesday w/MCT

Good Morning and Happy Hump day everyone!
It's time for another
My Creative Time Inspire Me Wednesday.
If you are new to my blog or to what Inspire Me Wednesday is all about, it is
where the DT makes a project of our choice based on an inspiration subject.

My inspiration comes from a pin I found while surfing Pinterest HERE
While I love the masculine feel of the inspiration card, I was drawn to the stars and the LO so I pulled out some of my favorite MCT dies and made this card....
I started my card by die cutting the mat using the largest of the Stitched Rectangular Frame Die. Next I added some splatters of color shine in the color scheme of the paper.

Using those awesome Bunch of Stitched Star Dies I die cut 2 in the matching designer paper and popped them up onto the front of my card after wrapping some Totally Black Trendy Twine around the card mat.

To finish my card, I stamped the sentiment using the newly released stamp set~ You Make Life Sweet. Some random enamel dots and my card is complete.

MCT Inspiration Wednesday~ It's A Coffee Date!

Good Morning and Happy Hump day everyone!
It's time for another
My Creative Time Inspiration Wednesday.
If you are new to my blog or to what Inspiration Wednesday is all about, it is
where the DT makes a project of our choice based on an inspiration subject.

My inspiration comes from a fun video I watched on YouTube
Simply Simple K-Cup Holder by Connie Stewart
You can check out here video HERE
I LOVED this idea so I made my own project using My Creative Time stamps and dies!
There is nothing better than a fresh, hot cup of coffee to get my morning started! Shared with my hubs....the best morning ever!

Didn't this K-cup holder turn out adorable???
It was so super easy to put together, taking 1 8 1/2" x 11" piece of cardstock and some designer paper. Of course I added my touches using MCT goodies!

Here is a closer look at my K-cup box. I followed the video tutorial to put it together only changing a few things so I could incorporate some My Creative Time goodies into the project. For the front panel and back panel of designer paper, I used the smallest of the Stitched Rectangular Frame Dies. To make the handle of the box, I used the Stitched Oval Die and then for the holes for the K-cups, I used the 3rd smallest circle from the Bunch of Fun Circle Dies.

You can see the fun stitching where the K-cups drop into the holder. And those circle dies couldn't have worked out any better!! They are the PERFECT size :)
To finish off my project, I added adorable tag using the NEW Mini Chalkboard Tag Die from the last release. I stamped the sentiment onto the tag using the You Are Perk-fect stamp set and added a few coffee beans to the tag as well. The tag was then tied onto the box using some Totally Kraft Trendy Twine. Some matching May Arts ribbon and my project is complete!

Bulldogs Football LO.......{Inspiration Wednesday w/MCT}

Good Morning and Happy Hump day everyone!

 It is time for another
Wednesday Inspiration with My Creative Time
where the DT makes a project of our choice based on an inspiration subject.

My inspiration for today's project is my son Casey :)
He is currently in the 8th grade and playing football for both the town we live in as well as Modified for the school. Let's back it up a bit and I will tell you his story.
This is his 3rd year playing football. He spends a lot of time in the yard playing ball with his brother, friends and my husband. When he said he wanted to play football for a team we thought that would be awesome! It is pretty popular among his friends and in our town so we signed him up. The first year he played..he didn't see a whole lot of the field. Just they way it was with the coach and seeing that he was a newbie he was played his "required" by the organization, which was at least 5 plays and then when we played "b" games. BUT that didn't discourage him. He was a lineman and wanted to try other positions as well. SO he went up to the coach and asked if he could try playing center and snapping the ball. The coach let him try it...he turned out to be pretty good and then became the second string center. He was excited.
Last year that was his starting position. He worked his tail off during the summer...practicing his snaps with my husband and come game time it sure showed. He was again super excited with his season. The quarterback's dad asked Casey last year to make sure he played Modified this year because they did not have a center :) Well he was already planning on it and would have played last year but it was kinda known that 7th graders don't play that much so he waited until this year.
Now fast forward to this year....he is the starting center for the Bulldogs which is our town's team as well as the starting center for Modified!
So this LO is for him, to show him how proud I am of him and all his hard work. Also to show that with determination and motivation you really can be the best you can be!
Now for the details on my project :) Their football colors are Black and Maroon so I went with those, using a maroon cardstock base and a fun football designer paper mat. I did add a decorative stitching frame around the outside for a little extra detail.
I printed out 2 pictures of Casey from his last game, die cut them out using the new (sneak-peek) Rectangle die. I matted it on white cardstock and again on black (also die cut using the rectangle die)

For the "Bulldogs" I die cut 2 sets of letters using the Uppercase Fun Dies. Once in maroon and again in white so I could shadow them. I embellished this section with some enamel dots as well.

To finish my LO off, I added the year using the Number Fun Dies, again cutting them 2 times so I could shadow them. I stamped the sentiment onto the frame from the new Love to Learn set and used the outside of the frame to make a rectangle piece. I love the stitching that Emma adds to her dies and wanted to use both the inside and outside of the cuts.
Finally I stamped my sentiment using the perfect wording for my LO from the Sports Sentiments set. A few more enamel dots and this was completed.

Back 2 School.....{Inspiration Wednesday w/MCT}

Good Morning and Happy Hump day everyone!
 It is time for another
Wednesday Inspiration with My Creative Time
where the DT makes a project of our choice based on an inspiration subject.

For my project, I used a card I found on Pinterest HERE as my inspiration.
I love the adorable back to school theme and design of it and knew that I could make it my own using some of Miss Emma's awesome My Creative Time stamps and dies! Plus I was able to use some of the new release stamps and dies :)

So here is my take on the inspiration.....
This card was very simple to put together and everything I used on the card besides the twine is from MCT. I started with a white card stock base and added a smaller mat of lined designer paper. Since my card is a school themed card, I did add the notebook die to the top.
Next I die cut the new Number Fun Dies from 1-7 as well as the adorable apple from the Love to Learn set. Each of the apples were cut using coordinating pattern paper...aren't they just so cute?
Finally I stamped the sentiment, using 2 different ones from the Write On set, masking parts of the sentiment to make my own.
To finish my card off, I added some Totally Red Trendy Twine.
