BLAH...BLAH...BLAH.....{MCT National Weird Holiday}

Good Morning Everyone!

It is Weird Holiday over on the MCT page and today I am sharing a card for

Blah Blah Blah day which is celebrated on April 17th.

What is Blah Blah Blah Day?? 

According to the post found HERE ......

"Sometimes it seems as if everyone is a critic. Are you fed up with your nearest and dearest suggesting you lose weight, give up smoking or paint that ceiling? Or, even if nobody is hounding you, are you all too aware that you’re putting off until tomorrow things that should have been done yesterday?

If any of these questions strike home, then Blah Blah Blah Day is the opportunity to stop procrastinating and get to grips with all those stalled projects and broken promises right now!

This unusual holiday was created by Wellcat, a holidays and herbs company. It is celebrated around the world – if celebrate is the right word for this particular day. The best way to mark it is by digging out and dusting off those forgotten New Year’s resolutions and making another start on them, before the blahs and the blues strike all over again" 

Here is the card I made.......

To make my card I used several MCT stamps and dies. I just love using older sets that we sometimes tend to forget about.

I started with my usual A2 card base, white card stock mat and a Stitched Rectangular Frame Die designer paper mat. Next I used the super fun Stitched Restroom Peeps Dies and cut the lady out using more matching designer paper. Since it is Blah Blah Blah day, I grabbed the Fun Speech Bubbles Die and die cut those out of pretty striped designer paper (all the designer paper is from the Bowties paper pad from Basic Gray)
Each of the lettering was then stamped onto a speech bubble using the set Alpha Pack and then popped up onto the card front using foam squares.
The card was then put together adding the Fun Stitched Edge in the matching striped designer paper to the bottom of my card. 

A super fun card to design, put together and give out...don't you think??

MCT 58th New Release Sneak Day 3

Good Morning and welcome to Day 3 of sneaks for the  

58th New Release

Can you believe we are more than halfway done with the sneaks?

Today the DT will be showcasing this releases FREEBIE set~

HAPPY HAUNTING

and here is the card I made using it......

To make my card I used the adorable Halloween girl silhouette stamp as the focal point. I stamped her onto some designer paper and then die cut her out using an oval die. Another oval die was cut so I could mount her up onto my card base.

The card base was made using designer paper that I die cut using the Stitched Rectangular Frame Die. I die cut 2 more pieces the same size in purple and white and then used one of the Fun Stitched Edges for the stripes.

I stamped the sentiment from the same set and then embellished my card with some sequins, a die cut spider web  from the Wicked Fun Dies set as well as the matching spider.

You Color My World....{MCT What a Treat Wednesday}

Good morning everyone and welcome to another

My Creative Time's What a Treat Wednesday!

The school year has started for many and my kiddos will be back to school in about 3 weeks so I thought I would focus my project around school time.

These would be so fun to make for the little ones (mine are too old to take these to their friends but trust me they wanted one...LOL)

To make my treat, I used a small resealable bag and filled it with a rainbow of crayons.

For the topper, I started with the Stitched Square die that fit the size of the bag and then die cut another one of the same size in white cardstock. I wanted to make the top layer of the topper look like a piece of paper so I stamped it using the Get Schooled stamp set. It still needed the paper "holes" on the side, which I got using the Fun Stitched Edges set.

The sentiment is  from the newly released Let's Paint the Town set (which I just LOVE and didn't realize until I was writing up my post that I used the same set and title of my post as the last one~oh well...see I really do LOVE this set!!)

Finally I added 2 small crayon die cuts that I found in the Silhouette store. They were sized down to the perfect embellishment for my topper.

MCT 56th New Release Sneak Day 4

Good Morning everyone and welcome to Day 4 of sneaks for the

56th New Release from My Creative Time!

Today is the final day of sneaks before tomorrow's BIG Reveal and Blog Hop!!

Just a Note

For my project I made a set of thank you's for some special teacher's for the end of the year.
My boys still have a few more days of school so this set came in VERY handy!!

Since these are for teachers, I pulled out some school inspired sets to add to the new Just a Note stamp/die set.
I used the new mini tabbed note card die and added some lined designer card stock.
For some extra texture on the bottom of my note card, I used the paper border die~ so fun!
The sentiment was stamped onto the front of the designer paper and then I added the adorable die cut apple popped up.
A simple red pearl enamel dot completed my mini note card.

Fun Notes

For my card I used the new "note" stamp and matching die to make a school inspired card. The sentiment, also from the Fun Notes set was stamped onto my note paper and then the added "note" die cut was popped up under. To carry on with the school theme, I added the fun pencil die cut. 
Some random matching enamel dots and my card was complete.

How cool is that new post it paper die, push pin and sentiment? 
I used these new dies to make a masculine card that would be awesome for a just because card. I started with my favorite~ the Stitched Rectangular Frame Die and made a border by using the next size smaller one and die cutting it out of blue cardstock. I layered that over some designer paper to make a bulletin board. Next I grabbed some star dies for my embellishment  to place behind my focal point~ the new stamps and dies. I finished my card off my adding some random enamel dots as well as decorated the inside!
