Happy Pumpkin Spice Season....{MCT Weird Holiday}

Good Morning everyone and welcome to another
Weird Holiday post for My Creative Time.

For my holiday I chose International Coffee Day which was actually celebrated yesterday October 1st.

The unofficial holiday celebrates one of the most popular beverages in the world - coffee. 

Take a look at my card celebrating this holiday...

Fall is my favorite time of the year and with the cooler weather comes PUMPKINS! I just LOVE pumpkin spice coffee so my card was focused around that yummy beverage!
To make my card, I pulled out my copic markers and made a pumpkin background coloring all the pumpkins in a two tone orange color.
I layered the Scalloped Stitched Circles in white and kraft cardstock for my focal point and added my sentiment and that adorable mini coffee cup.
To embellish my card, I used the newly released leaves from the pumpkin lollipop and cute pumpkin tag sets and added them around the scalloped stitched circles
Some Nuvo enamel dots completed my card.

May Your Mornings Be Brew-tiful....{MCT Weird Holidays}

Good morning and welcome to another
MCT Weird Holiday post.
My weird holiday is actually not so weird..LOL
on May 6th it is National Beverage Day
Curious about what exactly this holiday is all about~

So of course I love a good cup of coffee in the morning so my card is focused around that...
Take a look and let me know what you think~

I went CAS with my card using the color combo kraft pink and white.
Everything for my card was made using the adorable set~Just Brew It
I stamped the background with both the large and small coffee beans and versamark ink.

The coffee cup was stamped onto white cardstock and then die cut. I did add some pink chalk to the cheeks as well. She was then popped up onto the front of the card.
The sentiment was stamped under the adorable cup and then to finish up my card I added some pink hearts and some pink and kraft twine.

Feel Better Soon....{MCT Weird Holiday}

Good Morning and welcome to another MCT post day!

Today we are sharing projects related to a weird holiday

The holiday I picked is Toothache Day which is celebrated on Feb 9th and you can read all about it HERE

or even for a holiday celebrated today~ Dentist's Day and all the details on that holiday can be found HERE

*now I admit I did not follow the directions for our DT assignment, we were supposed to pick a weird holiday from January and mine comes from Feb so I apologize, I misread our assignment :(

but here is the card I created for these weird holidays.......

To make my card I started with a kraft cardstock A2 card base, added a layer of white cardstock and then die cut the top layer of designer paper using the Stitched Rectangular Frame Die
Next I pulled out the adorable Ouch set and the All Around Everything I set to design the front of my card.
I die cut 2 of the band aids and added pink hearts to the center of both. I added 2 cutie teeth and then stamped the sentiment onto the card front.
Such a sweet get well card for someone who just had dental work.

Let's Have a Date Night......{MCT Weird Holiday Tuesday}

Good Morning Everyone!

It is Weird Holiday day over on the MCT page and today I am sharing a card for

Drive-in Movie Day

 which is actually celebrated today~Tue, June 6
and is considered an

Unofficial holiday but is celebrated in many countries

Here is the card I made for this fun and weird holiday........

To make my card, I used several MCT products. I started with a kraft cardstock base, added a layer of designer paper from Teresa Collins~Memorabilia collection, a layer of white cardstock and then another layer of matching designer paper.

For the white and top layer of designer paper, I took the More Stitched Edges Dies for the ripped look at the bottoms and then die cut the top layer using the Stitched Rectangular Frame Dies & More.

Moving right along with my design, I used the Date Night set for the movie tape, the stars and the sentiment and then added the sentiment onto the Stitched Fun Ticket Dies

The final touches to my card were added with a cute red stitched heart from the Stitched Heart Background dies and a trendy twine bow.

A super fun card to design, put together and give out...don't you think??

BLAH...BLAH...BLAH.....{MCT National Weird Holiday}

Good Morning Everyone!

It is Weird Holiday over on the MCT page and today I am sharing a card for

Blah Blah Blah day which is celebrated on April 17th.

What is Blah Blah Blah Day?? 

According to the post found HERE ......

"Sometimes it seems as if everyone is a critic. Are you fed up with your nearest and dearest suggesting you lose weight, give up smoking or paint that ceiling? Or, even if nobody is hounding you, are you all too aware that you’re putting off until tomorrow things that should have been done yesterday?

If any of these questions strike home, then Blah Blah Blah Day is the opportunity to stop procrastinating and get to grips with all those stalled projects and broken promises right now!

This unusual holiday was created by Wellcat, a holidays and herbs company. It is celebrated around the world – if celebrate is the right word for this particular day. The best way to mark it is by digging out and dusting off those forgotten New Year’s resolutions and making another start on them, before the blahs and the blues strike all over again" 

Here is the card I made.......

To make my card I used several MCT stamps and dies. I just love using older sets that we sometimes tend to forget about.

I started with my usual A2 card base, white card stock mat and a Stitched Rectangular Frame Die designer paper mat. Next I used the super fun Stitched Restroom Peeps Dies and cut the lady out using more matching designer paper. Since it is Blah Blah Blah day, I grabbed the Fun Speech Bubbles Die and die cut those out of pretty striped designer paper (all the designer paper is from the Bowties paper pad from Basic Gray)
Each of the lettering was then stamped onto a speech bubble using the set Alpha Pack and then popped up onto the card front using foam squares.
The card was then put together adding the Fun Stitched Edge in the matching striped designer paper to the bottom of my card. 

A super fun card to design, put together and give out...don't you think??
