Head of The Class.......{Back to School w/PKS}

Morning Everyone!!!
(If you are looking for my Trendy Twine GIVEAWAY please click HERE)

I am back to share another Peachy Keen card, this one for
This challenge, hosted by Cassandra is:
Back To School
~Create a card or layout using your Peachy Keen Stamps with a "Back To School" Theme~

And here is the card I made.....
I used the Scallop Center Step card base from the Silhouette store and added my layers of white and designer paper for each of the panels.
Then using the adorable Happy Apple from Pretty Paper Pretty Ribbon I cut it out the layers of the apple, minus the face so I could stamp my PK cuteness on it.  Once the face was stamped on, I added some glossy accents to the glasses for a bit of a shine, and tied a triple box of Totally White Trendy Twine.
Here is the card again, on an angle so you can see the fun shape of this card! These are awesome to make and embellish (even though mine is pretty simple) especially when you are looking for a different type of card.

Supplies Used:
Paper~ Kraft (TK Outlet) Bazzill Red & Green, White
Simple Stories~Green Chevron/Mini Dot
Stamps~ PKS
Dies/Cuts~Lori Whitlock Scalloped Center Step Card
Glossy Accents
pop dots

So there you have it...another PK card for the new release challenge... Fingers crossed that one of my cards wins one of the  gift certificates....my wish list for cute PK stamps is HUGE LOL!!!
Well thanks so much for stopping by and have a GREAT Sunday!!!

Happy Halloween.....Trendy Twine New Releases & A Giveaway!!!

Good Morning everyone and welcome to a fun new release day over at Trendy Twine!
There are 5 new colors being added to the Trendy Twine store~ perfect for all your upcoming Halloween projects! So let me introduce you to......
Aren't they awesome.....
and they are now available in the store HERE!

But before you hop on over to pick yourself the new release, the Trendy Twine DT has some fun Halloween Treat ideas to share using the Trick or Treat and Spooktacular Taffy. Make sure to check out their projects over on the Trendy Twine Blog

Now onto my projects....I ended up making 3 different projects.
1~ because I LOVE these new colors
2~ because Halloween is one of my favorite holidays
and
3~ Well I couldn't decide which project I liked best so I just posted them all :)
For my first project I used one of the fun Candy Tin's from the store and wrapped my candies that I used inside with some designer paper from DCVW~The Spookytime Stack. Next I made a wrapper for the outside of the candy tin but instead of wrapping twine around it, I thought I would try something new and "tie" the twine using some eyelets and the new Spooktacular Taffy. Before I tied the wrapper together I heat embossed my sentiment~ from Bugbites Magic Spells Stamp set. And that cutie spider...well he is from some old rub ons I had from EAD Designs~which is no longer in business :(
For my next project, which is a very simple one...I used a Small Clear Pillow Box and filled it with some black, purple and orange m&m's. Then using MCT~ Scallop & Stitched Circle Die and the All Around Halloween stamp set, I made a cute tag to add to my pillow box. Tied on with the new Trick or Treat Trendy Twine and you have an adorable treat to hand out!!

For my final project~ and probably my most favorite project, I made a fun treat using the Broom Cover Candy Stick file from SVG Cutting Files, a Clear Skinny Candy Bag from the Trendy Twine store and 2 different stamp sets that I picked up from Micheal's and Joanne's. The Witch I believe was from last year's dollar bin from Micheal's and the matching sentiment is from this year's Studio G from Joanne's. I ended up die cutting the circle and scallop from a file in the Silhouette store, then stamping my witch. I wanted her to match the Spooktacular Taffy Trendy Twine, so I colored her hat using my orange copic marker and then adding some orange stickles. Finally I tied the tag to my candy bag using the Spooktacular Taffy TT. I did the same with the sentiment, added an orange eyelet and then tied the Spooktacular Taffy Trendy Twine around the broom.

So what do you think? Which project is your favorite?????
Now I have a special GIVEAWAY for one luck follower..

Hey Smartie!.......{Back to School w/PKS}

Happy Friday everyone!!!
Whooooo Hooo the weekend is upon us! Any fun plans???
I am off to football practice with my son in a few minutes and then it is a weekend of hanging out around the house, getting some yard work done and of course some crafty time!
I want to play along with the new August Release challenges over at The Peachy Keen Connection! Plus there is a new PK challenge...so a whole weekend of some Peachy goodness!!
I did get a chance to make a project for Challenge #2 over at The Peachy Keen Connection.
(I know working backwards)
This challenge, hosted by Melissa is
Office Supply Challenge
"Raid the office"  Make a project with your Peachy Keen Stamps and include some everyday office supplies. (Notebook paper, paper clip, post-it notes ,pencils... get creative)
So for my project I made this cute hanging notepad.
Hope you like it!!!
 I used a post it note file from Lori Whitlock and altered it slightly to make it work more for what I wanted. The file comes with a slot to add a pen, but I didnt have one that fit, plus I wanted to add some cute images and a sentiment to the top.
So this is what I did, I cut out the base with some Kraft card stock and then the top layer with the adorable ABC paper from Recollections. Then using some matching lined paper from the same pack, I cut them down to the size of a post it note~ 3x3.  I hot glued a binder clip (my office supply) and then clipped the pages with the binder.

Here is a close-up of the lunch box and the die cute letters. Isn't that PK face adorable!!!!! Gotta LOVE my Peachy's!!!

Supplies Used:
Paper~ Kraft, Recollections~Back to School
Stamps~PKS~ Smartie the Owl
My Creative Time~ Circle Font
Cuts/Dies~ Lori Whitlock~ Post it Note Hanger
My Creative Time~ Build a Banner
Embellishments~ 3GJ Crinkle Ribbon~Holly Berry
Magnet
Binder Clip
chalk and white gel pen

So there you have it...my office supply project... I added a magnetic sheet to the back so I can hang it on the fridge and write little notes to put in the kids lunchboxes. Such a fun idea right???
Well thanks so much for stopping by and have a GREAT night!!!
Make sure to come back tomorrow for my Trendy Twine Halloween projects!! There are 5 new colors being released! Perfect for all your Halloween treats!!

Layer Upon Layer.....{TKJ}

Good Morning and Happy Monday everyone!!!
It is time for a new challenge over at
And this week the challenge is
Layer Upon Layer

I am a big fan of using sketches so my card for this week is based on
Deconstructed Sketch 112
here is my card...hope you like it!
Sympathy cards are always so difficult to make and no one ever wants to have to make one but the sentiment I choose from My Creative Time~Floral Sentiment  was the perfect size to fit with the current sketch. I started my card with a Light Kraft Cover Weight Card Stock and added my layers of pattern paper from My Minds Eye~ Unforgettable paper pack. Once all my layers were cut to size, I ran each layer through my sewing machine.

Here you can see the sentiment closer and the layers with my stitching.

To further embellish my card I cut all 3 layers of the Flower Petal Dies from MCT in the matching pattern paper and added a Custom Fastener (probably my FAVORITE embellishment from The Kraft Outlet) filled with some yellow stickles. Also added was some Metallic Twist Hemp Cord tied into a bow and placed under the flower.

So there you have it....my inspiration for this week's challenge.
I hope you have enjoyed my card and will play along with us!
As always I have linked all the supplies I used from The Kraft Outlet throughout my description.  If you have not checked out the store yet....make sure you do! There is so much available, the prices are so reasonable and shipping is super fast!!!
Thanks for stopping by and have a GREAT Monday!!

You're Berry Sweet.......{PKS Challenge}

Morning everyone!!
Hope you are all having a GREAT weekend!!
Well it is time again for another Peachy Keen Stamps challenge and this one is a favorite...but one that actually gave me some difficulty...it is an Anything Goes challenge.
Difficulty you ask.... give me a sketch and I can try to work with it, give me a color challenge and again I can work with it..a theme, no problem....tell me to make anything I want and my mind goes blank! Yikes!!! I spent a long while looking through my PK stamps and then looking through all my Silhouette files and well I came up with something I hope you will like.
I made a card and matching 3d strawberry basket using the adorable PK Faceless Fruit stamp set and Fruit Sentiments One set.

Here is a closer look at the card... I am pretty proud of myself, I used the faceless fruit stamp set and made my own SVG cuts for the images. Yeah I am sure a lot of you know how to scan a stamp set and covert it into a file, but for me it was the first time doing it...LOL!!
So anyways I added the fruit and made a border around the image so when I went and stamped it again, there was a perfect cut around the image. Then using my designer papers I paper pieces the berries.
And here are the matching berries. These do not have any PK stamps but I thought they would make a cute added treat to my card. They can be filled with some yummy treats as well. I tied each of the berries with some Holly Berry Trendy Twine and used My Creative Time's~Stitched Doily Die to make it look like the basket had a doily liner.

Supplies Used:
Paper~ Kraft, White, Little Yellow Bicycle~Vintage Summer
Stamps~ PKS
Dies/Cuts~
3D Strawberry ~ Silhouette Store
3D Basket~ Silhouette Store
Embellishments~ Trendy Twine~Holly Berry
Sewing Machine

So there you have my Anything Goes challenge entry. When it was all said and done I have to say it turned out pretty cute :)
Thanks so much for stopping by and enjoy the rest of your weekend!!

Kraft w/Ribbon.....{3GJ Challenge #23}

It is a happy day over here....

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
So here is the card I made based on this week's Mojo Monday Square sketch....
I started out with a Kraft cardstock base and cut all the layers out using a mix of kraft and designer paper from Basic Grey. After all the pieces were cut, I ran the mat through my sewing machine and placed those aside for assembly later. I die cut my Stitched Tab Die from My Creative Time and stamped my sentiment, also from MCT~ Gift Card Sentiment stamp set.
Next using my Silhouette studio I added this cute digi from By Lori Designs, placed a border around him and cut him out so I could color him with my copic markers and embellish his bow using some waterfall stickles.
Finally to finish up my card I added a nice double bow of Mistletoe Crinkle Ribbon from 3GJ and a custom made Custom Fastener from The Kraft Outlet. I added some midnight blue stickles to the center and they added the completed mat to my Kraft cardbase.
Supplies Used:
Paper~ Kraft (TKJ Outlet), Basic Grey~Bowties
Stamps~ By Lori Designs~ Lollipop Tanner, My Creative Time~ Gift Card Sentiments
Inks~ Copic Markers
Dies~ My Creative Time~Stitched Tab Die
Embellishments~  Mistletoe Crinkle Ribbon (3GJ),  sewing machine, waterfall and midnight blue Stickles, Custom Fastener (TKJ Outlet)
I sure hope you have enjoyed my project and will play along with us over at the
Celebration.....Trendy Twine's 50th Color!!
Good Morning everyone!!!!
Today's post is an exciting one!
We are celebrating Trendy Twine's #50th color release!
Let me introduce you to~
A fun Disney inspired twist...isn't is AWESOME!!!!
In Celebration of the new release, the Trendy Twine DT is showcasing this fun new twist by sharing Disney themed projects. Since everyone is a fan of the mouse I wanted to make a card based on this week's Deconstructed Sketch and my favorite Disney characters~ Mickey and Minnie!
I hope you like my creation........
My anniversary is coming up in a few weeks and since both myself and my hubs LOVE Disney I thought this would make a cute Anniversary card for him.
I don't have any Disney themed cuts but in one of the FB groups I belong to, someone shared this adorable file that I knew would be perfect for my card. I altered it a bit to fit my card as well as made a shadow around them so I could pop both of these characters up for some more added dimension.
I designed the whole LO in the Silhouette Studio following the sketch and then cut each coordinating piece in the color paper I wanted. After attaching all my layers to my card mat, I ran it through my sewing machine (surprise, surprise right??)
Then using the new Celebration Trendy Twine, I wrapped it around my mat 2 times and tied it into a bow using one the the Stitched Button Dies from MCT as my button. But before adding it as my button, I gave it 2 coats of glossy accents for some strength and shine.
Here you can see the stitched tag die and another stitched button die I used for the sentiment. I did add some more TT Celebration twine through the button and you can see a hint of the red and yellow twist.
Supplies Used:
Paper~ White, Black, Red Bazzill card stock, Echo Park~Banana Tiny Dots
Dies/Cuts~ Mickey and Mini Silhouette (freebie from a group share)
My Creative Time~Stitched Button Dies
My Creative Time~Vintage Stitched Label Dies
Stamps~ My Creative Time~Treasured Moments
Embellishments~ Celebration Trendy Twine, pop dots, glossy accents, sewing machine
Well there you have it! My Disney inspired card featuring the totally AWESOME new Celebration Trendy Twine!! Make sure to stop over to the Trendy Twine blog HERE to see all the other AWESOME Disney projects featuring the new color!
Then make sure to head on over to the store HERE to pick up your new release!!
Trust me this is one color that you NEED to have!!!
Thanks so much for stopping by and have a GREAT Thursday!!!
