CI Paint~ Inspired By: Go Green!

Good Morning everyone and Happy Sunday!!!!
(if you are looking for the Trendy Twine Bunny Hop please click HERE)

It is time for another fun Inspired By Challenge
over at
This weeks Challenge~
Inspired By: Go Green!
We want to see all those St. Patty's Day projects OR recycled projects!!
and here is the project I made....
I wanted to make my boys a fun St. Patty's day treat...I know they are super excited about it~ I hope you like it too :)
For my project I started out with a clay pot that I painted black using acrylic paint. Once that was dried I went over the black with CI Paint in Onyx. I wanted that black to really shimmer :)
 Here is a close-up of my sentiment~
Using the sentiment from My Creative Time, my favorite embossing powder~ Deliquesce Black from CI Paint, I stamped and heat embossed it onto a die cut~ the Curly Label Die also from My Creative Time
I wanted to add some gold brads but didn't have any, so instead of going out and buying some I used silver brads from my stash and heat embossed them using Deliquesce Gold Glitter. They turned out AWESOME I might add :)
To hold my sentiment up I used a sucker stick~ kinda boring until I wrapped it using Twisted Lime Trendy Twine!! Did you know it is the color of the month??? Trendy Twine is having a sale on it HERE
~~Just a little enabling on my part...LOL!!~~
Finally here is a close-up of the shamrock die cut~also from My Creative Time!
I love Emma's dies and the stitching  she adds to them~ Awesome!!
I couldn't leave him unpainted so I added a layer of Green Olive CI paint as well as another gold brad.
Filled with some "gold" in the form of Rolo's and there you have it!

I hope I have inspired you with my project and you will play along with us over at
Remember you do not need CI Paints on your project but if you have them we would
LOVE to see how you use them!!!
Thanks so much for stopping by and have a GREAT day!!!

ok sorry but really hop back to the start and check out all the info on this fun event, the prizes from our AWESOME sponsors and to check out this gorgeous new color!
Now for my project...I made an Easter Bunny Milk Carton using products from a bunch of our sponsors.
Here it is....
Awww how cute right?? I love how this turned out and I'm thinking my son has already claimed it for one of his teacher :) Of course if she is reading this, which I know she pops in and does sometimes~ it will be filled with chocolate :)
I used the Milk Carton file from The Cutting Cafe, sized it down a bit and cut it using my cameo. The grass~ a file from the Silhouette store was also cut with my cameo.
Since we are showcasing this gorgeous new color of twine here is a close-up of how I used it~ a bunny tail of course. Pom Poms are one of my favorite ways to use twine and I just this this little guy was screaming for a poofy tail.
The sweet bunny and my button flowers are from My Creative Time. Don't you just LOVE them?? They are from February's new release.  I doubled up the buttons and added more twine through the center to hold them in place.
This brings us to the top of the milk carton... I used another MCT die for the tag and die cut some more buttons. The sentiment is from The Alley Way Stamps~Spring has Sprung stamp set and the whole container is tied up with some gorgeous 3GJ crinkle ribbon (which I ironed out) in Christmas Candy

See his CUTE shades??? I used another stamp set from TAWS new release~ Words to live By and took the border scallop stamped it on white cardstock and cut out only to make it look like some shades
I added some stickles to a few of the shapes in the border stamp and tied the whole card together with some gorgeous 3GJ crinkle ribbon in Sunflower.

Ka-Pow! w/TAWS

Good Morning!!
It is my DT day over at The Alley Way Stamps and I have a fun and totally boy motivated card using one of the new release stamp sets for this month.
If you have not checked out March's new release you can do so HERE!
They are AWESOME!!!
So for my CAS card I used the new set
Ka-Pow
~ Isn't it such a fun set!
And having boys makes this a much needed one too
and I followed the sketch from CAS(E) this Sketch!
and came up with this..............

I had so much fun putting this one together...And it was quite simple to do as well.
I used white, black, red and blue card stock..most of it was all scraps~YEA me for clearing more from my ever growing pile :)
I stamped my image 3 times on the white card stock, trimmed the images out to the size I wanted, then colored them with my copics.
After the card sentiment was stamped...I assembled the card using the sketch as my guide and stickled away...LOL!
Finally I stamped on more image and cut that one out, popped it up and stickled that one too.
What do you think???
I hope you like it!
Well that is all I have for you today!!!

Trendy Twine March Challenge~ Going Green

Good Morning
and
Welcome to our March Challenge
with
Our Twine of the Month is Twisted Lime!
~a perfect match of Light Green & Dark Green Bakers Twine~
And our challenge for this month is:
GOING GREEN
We want to see your
 St. Patrick's Day projects w/
  ~a clover or leprechaun
 monochromatic green (shades of green)
and
Trendy Twine.

**If you do not have Trendy Twine,
use hemp, jute, or embroidery thread only
(no other brands of bakers twine)**

Or even better yet... head over to the store HERE
~to pick up a roll of Twisted Lime~
 it's on sale for $7.95

or
~to pick up one of their GREAT starter packs
like this
Go Green Mini Pack for $5.50

Now onto my project.....
I am actually pretty proud of myself....I remembered this awesome slider card that my SUPER creative friend Cindy made and I bookmarked it for a later date...well today was that date :)
So here is my take on her slider card.....
Since the challenge is monochromatic green I used Bazzill Easter Grass cardstock along with some green pattern paper I found in my stash. Following Cindy's tutorial (which made this SO easy to put together) I embellished very simply with a shamrock die cut, my sentiment some 3GJ crinkle ribbon and of course this month AWESOME color of Trendy Twine in Twisted Lime

So I hope you like my slider card! I know I will be making many more of these!!!!

Now don't forget to check out what the rest of the Design Team has created today
over on the Trendy Twine Blog!
I would LOVE to see you play along in our challenge

You're An All Star~ PKS Challenge Entry

Happy Sunday everyone!
Hope you are all enjoying the weekend!!
Busy here as always but I was able to sneak some time last night to make a card to enter into this weeks
Peachy Keen Stamps challenge.
The challenge~
PK 13-9 :: Just Cards :: Oh My Stars!
how fun right!! So here is what a made~ hope you like it!!
For my card I used a kraft card base and papers from the Basic Grey~Shine on paper pack.
I found these stars on the silhouette store actually from a set from Lori Whitlock..love the pattern she made with them but just could not get the design to work with the idea I had in my head so I used the stars only and re~sized them to work.
I stamped the adorable large star with PKS~ Piles of Smiles and the sentiment comes from Paper Smooches~My Guy stamp set.
Finally I couldn't not use my sewing machine ~LOL~ so I ran a decorative stitch around the as a border.
What do you think???
Well that is all I have for you today! I am off to run errand, take my youngest to a birthday party and hopefully relax :)
Thanks so much for stopping by and have a GREAT day!!
