Have a Fun~Shine Day w/Deacon ~~~ A few Challenges Too :)

Good Morning Bloggers!
I have another card to share today...this one using Deacon Bugs from Bugaboo Stamps.
Isn't he just the cutest?

I made this card with a few challenges in mind...
ICopic #43~ Orange and Blue
Totally Stampalicious~ 1 circle, 1 square and 1 rectangle
The Kraft Journal~ Anything Goes

Ok so for my card I used Kraft cardstock for the base of the card.
The pattern paper is from Me and My Big Ideas~ Boy Stack
The Stamp sentiment is from BugBites~ All Year Round
and the image is colored with my copics
These one to be exact :)
The one thing I did not use for this card is my white gel pen! OMG you say...
I know when the card was coming together it did just that! Came together without my pen in sight.
I almost grabbed it but thought to myself...I can do it...I can do it....WITHOUT the white doodles! LOL.
There is always next time right?!?!?

Anyways I am really loving how this turned out and I even learned a new technique...
cutting out a digital image with my SCAL program.
My fellow DT'er Melanie over at In Love with a Bug did an amazing tutorial on this and I have wanted to give it a try....well I did and I LOVE how Deacon turned out...cut in the circle shape!

So there you have it...Hope you like my card and you all

I made a set of 3 x 3 note cards and a matching gift bag for this challenge.
I used Whimsie Doodles~ Sentiment Edibles collection for my projects.

Here is the whole set...all 6 images/sentiments
The gift page was cut from Plantin Schoolbook at 6.5"
Thanks to Heather, one of my fellow DT'ers for reminding me of this cut on this cart~

I love how fun and whimsical these images are....I colored each image with my copics and cut them out. I added white gel pen doodles ~I have this obsession with my white gel pen :)

Brads were added to this sentiment

Homemade skittles were used to embellish this

Again more skittles and gel pen doodles....and oh yeah I added foam dots to this to raise the orange

So "Thanks a Melon" for stopping by....I hope you will join us for this weeks challenge over at

Sending You Birthday Wishes~ Challenge Card and A Halloween Card

Hi everyone!
I had a card all ready to post yesterday and I got too tired so I am posting double today.

The first one I made for two challenges:
The Ribbon Girl~ use ribbon
and
Birthday Sundaes~All about the Brads

OK so my card is a shape card using George and Basic Shapes Cartridge and welded on my gypsy.
The balloons are from Simply Charmed cut at 3.5" and I used the shadow feature as well.
I added the PKS faces~ Everyday Character and Simple Sallies.
I colored my own ribbon again using my copics and BV08 and R85.
I know the picture is not the greatest but the card base as well as the sentiment mat and ribbon are all purple and are all the same color.
So the sentiment is actually a dollar bin find that seemed to fit too good with my balloons :)
A little twine on the balloons, 3 purple brads, some white gel pen doodles and a paper clip to hold the sentiment and my card is complete!

So here is my second card.
I picked up this cute pumpkin die at the store the other day on clearance and of course had to give it a try :)

Cute little pumpkins....a very simple card using Cloud 9 Season Paper Stack and Fiskars Halloween Night sentiment.
I added more white gel pen doodles on my pumpkins and popped up the middle one for some dimension.

So thanks for stopping by and make sure you stop by tomorrow for another Paper Playtime challenge
and a new Whimsical Wednesday challenge on Wednesday.

Have a GREAT night :)

D2D~Stitched Pumpkin Card w/Bugbite's All Year Round Sentiment

Hi everyone!
I completed another challenge for D2D with this weeks freebie~ stitched pumpkins.

For this card instead of coloring with my copics I decided to do alittle paper piecing.

The paper is from Cloud 9~ Seasonal Stack
Recollections primary color pack and scraps from my stash
The image is from Designed 2 Delight
The sentiment is from Bugbites~ All Year Round.
I also added some foam dimensions to the pumpkin and the leaf...not sure if the picture shows it too well.
Oh yeah the background stamp is from a Stampin Up set that I had (most of the stampin up stamps that I have are not grouped by name so I don't know what set they come from...that's the way I got them)

Well that is all I have for tonight...thanks for stopping by and have a great night!
See you all tomorrow :)

Back to School Gift Bag~~ For a few Challenges :)

Hi everyone!!
I had some free time without the kiddo's around today to get some back to school crafting done.
Usually I have one or both kids asking for stamps to be printed to colored...or can we stamp with your stamps..or what can we make now. Now don't get me wrong I LOVE having them around when I am making cards and such but what could take me 2 hours from start to finish can take me all day :)
So anyways both boys had play dates today so I made a Back to School gift bag.
I made this bag with a few challenges is mind but it is not 100% complete. I am stuck as to what to put on the handles.
I am not good with tying bows so every ribbon I placed on the handles didn't look right....so HELP...suggestions welcomed please!

Ok so my bag was on I had laying around from the Dollar Store.
I used DCVW~Grade School Paper Stack as well as recollections primary color papers.
The apple was cut from Making the Grade Cartridge~one I have never used and one that is also retired. It was cut at 5 1/2" with both the shadow and top layer. I cut 2 additional apples to change the stem and leaf colors also.
I tried something new today...I used glitter and lots of it for the apple. I had never used glitter like this before and it was both messy and ended up all over the place. I used glue but I know I have read about people using their Xeron machine....mine is just not big enough so I did it the old fashion way!!
My worm is from Create a Critter and he is cut at 3 1/2". I hid the face so I could stamp a PK face on him. Way cute...don't you think?
Oh and the #1 Teacher is also from Making the Grade Cartridge.

So this gift bag is being entered into the following challenges:
Cropstop~ #32 Back to School
Creative Cutter Room~ Back to School
Throwback Thursday~My Creative Time~ #230 Retired Cartridge
Fantabulous Cricut~Challenge Me Monday~ Add a Bug
Die Cutting Diva's~Challenge #27~ Fruits/Vegetable
Craft Junkie Too ~Linky Party #20

Thanks for stopping by and have a GREAT night!

Besties Always

Hi everyone!
I have a quick card to share with you...it is past my bedtime so sorry for the shortness :)
I posted yesterday about coloring my own ribbon...well I did it again!
I just LOVE how it turns out and I have a perfect match for my card.
I used Bugaboo's Deacon for this card and colored him with my copics.
I colored the ribbon with the same blue and green as in the digi.
I totally scrap lifted the flower embellishment idea from Tara over at Homemade Happiness~ I won a bunch of them from her not too long ago and fell in love with them. So I found the cuttlebug dies and made some of my own!
The sentiment is from My Pink Stamper~Pinka-licious.

I am entering this into the following Challenges:
More than Favors~ Wacky Wednesday #47 Friendship

I hope you like my card and thanks for stopping by.
Have a GREAT night!!
