2016 Baseball Season.....{MCT Scrapping the Little Things}

Good Morning
 and
Welcome to another Scrapping the Little Things

Before I share my PL cards I want to apologize for not being around the last 2 weeks. My kids were on break and then we had a death in the family that kept me away from FB and commenting here on blogger. Please know that I will catch up with everyone this week and can not wait to see everything that you all created that I missed.

Now for today's project. Baseball season is just around the corner for my son so I thought I would start his album for both his House League and Travel League.... here is what I made
I left the 2 large spaces open for Parker's team pictures. Both panels have the sentiments stamped onto the new Ribbon End Banner dies using the Alpha Pack. I also used the In Stitches die for some extra details. The 4 smaller panels were cut using the 4x4 Journal Die from designer paper from Doodlebug Designs~home run. The top panel was part of the paper that I used because...well in Parker's eyes it is all about baseball...LOL!!
The next panels I used the Pretty Bold Numbers to die cut the date. Finally the last panel was another part of the designer paper but I did add some die cut stars to show the positions Parker plays.

Happy First Day of School......{MCT Scrapping the Little Things}

Good Morning
 and
Welcome to another Scrapping the Little Things with My Creative Time
It is back to school for so many kiddos so I thought I would get a jump start on my PL page for when my boys head back to school in a few weeks. To make my page, I used all scraps of cardstock. BONUS!!!
Since my PL spead had 2 4x4 sections and 4 2x2 sections, I decorated the larger sections to house the pics from the first day of school. I used the 4x4 Journal Die for the bases and die cut cork paper using the Stitched Bracket Dies. The sentiment was then stamped onto the center of the cork paper using the stamp set~Write On. Some simple embellishments, staples and enamel dots finished up those 2 sections.
 For the first section of 2x2 squares, I used the 4x4 Journal Die + More set for the bases. That adorable apple die cut is from the Love to Learn set and again I used all scraps for each of the pieces. It was popped up using foam adhesive for alittle extra dimension since it is a stand alone section. The next square was set aside for my 7th grader :( It is so hard to believe that Parker will be in 7th already! I used the Bunch of Stitched Stars and some yellow cardstock for the star and popped him up with some foam adhesive. Then using the same cork paper, I die cut the 7th out from the Number Fun Dies + Add On set.
These 2 2x2 squares were done the same way as above. The only difference was instead of the apple, I used the fun pencil die cut and added some "scribble" below it using the You are Fabulous stamp set.
I can't wait to fill these with the first day of school pics of my boys! I really LOVE the way this page turned out!

MCT......Scrapping the Little Things {February Project Life}

Good Morning everyone!!
Welcome to "Scrapping the Little Things" with My Creative Time
where we share Project Life, Smash book or Scrapbook LO's using MCT stamps and dies!

Ok I have to admit that I am not much of a scrapbooker, I am trying and....I do however hope to change that a bit for this year and I will continue working on adding to my PL book. Right now it is pretty empty except for the past projects I have done for My Creative Time BUT I am going to put it on my list of projects to do at least once a month. I will share my PL cards for January (when I finish them..LOL) but my project for today is my February PL cards. I hope to get some pictures of my boys and maybe ever a family picture to add to these.
I have to keep telling myself that an overload of embellishing for these cards do not necessarily mean they look better. Right??? I am actually pretty proud of the way these turned out. Can not wait to add some pictures too :)
So let me walk you through them.
The first card uses the new Heart 2 Heart Love Frame and I popped it up using some foam pop dots. My hope is to maybe get a picture of me and the hubs to slide into it. I added the date using the Fun Number Dies and for some added texture on the heart, I stamped the Grainy Wood Background onto it.
The next 2 cards are the ones that I will add the pictures of my boys to. They are simple 3x4 Journal cards with 2 of the new Heart 2 Heart Love Frame dies on them.
The final card is my favorite maybe :) I used the Social Media Die to hastag my sentiment...how fun is that! I again used the same heart from the new release....LOVE it.... and placed it on 2 Bunch of Fun Circle Dies. I then added the sentiment to the Stitched Decorative Banner Die and embellished with some enamel dots.

Scrapping the Little Things.....w/MCT

Good Morning everyone!!
Welcome to "Scrapping the Little Things" with My Creative Time
where we share Project Life, Smash book or Scrapbook LO's using MCT stamps and dies!
For my project today I made another PL spead, this time for the recent track meet my son was in. A little background first, each elementary school in our district (there are 4) compete in this event every year and they pick the top competitors from each of the 3rd, 4th and 5th grade in several different events. The school runs each of the events and then sends the top kiddo to compete against the other 3 schools. Going to brag for a minute here~ my son who is in 5th grade has been chosen to attend every year, in 3rd grade for the boys 400 relay, 4th grade for the mixed 400 relay and then this year for the 50m hurtles.  The other two years they came in 3rd or 4th place but this year he placed 2nd! I was so super excited for him and he ran his little tail off..LOL!!! It was such an exciting opportunity for him and the best part was 3 of his best friends competed also.

Here is a close-up of the new Social Media Die that I paired up with the awesome Lowercase Alphabet Die

My kiddo is the one with the blue and orange pants...all ready to run! Emma's dies just make putting these pages together so easy! And since I am not much of a scrapbooker these PL pages are PERFECT!

And there is the bottom card. LOVING again that Social Media Die "@" and those fun lowercase alphabet dies! And how perfect is that street stamp from the Main Street stamp set from last month's release?

Supplies Used:
Paper~ White, Black, Red
Stamps~ My Creative Time:
Dies~ My Creative Time:
Others~ White and Silver gel pen
Tim Holtz Distress Ink

What do you think???? Don't you just LOVE those new Social Media Dies?
You can pick your's up HERE along with all the other MCT stamps and dies I used!

For my hop project I made some Project Life cards. A little background on these first...
Every year the 5th grade class goes on a 3 day 2 night camping trip. This year my youngest will be going and I am so excited that I was chosen as one of the chaperons too!
My husband was able to go with our oldest son and when he came home he told me he wanted to go again with Parker because he had such a great time. I told him sorry...my turn to experience it...LOL! I am excited and I know the hubs is happy for me to be able to experience it with Parker :) So when these stamps came out I knew I wanted to scrap all the fun times we had!
Here is the first set of Project Life cards. One of the highlights of the trip is getting all of the kids together around the campfire to roast marshmallows and tell stories, sing songs and just hang out. I am hoping to get some great pictures of Parker and his friends to put in the open space here. I know I will be making many more pages just for this one part of the trip too :)

Scrapping The Little Things......{MCT}

Good Morning everyone!!
Welcome to "Scrapping the Little Things" with My Creative Time
where we share Project Life, Smash book or Scrapbook LO's using MCT stamps and dies!

Today I have some Project Life cards to share that I made for Easter.
Since I am not a scrapbooker, I have taken a huge liking to these PL pages and find it not only a GREAT way to scrapbook easily, but I can plan ahead (like I did with these card) and all I have to do is some quick journaling and add some pictures.
Here are the cards I made, hope you like them!
I LOVE this Sn@P Paper from Simple Stories and used several of the colored papers for my cards. Mixed with all the My Creative Time dies made these cards very easy to put together.
The Lowercase Fun Dies are my favorite to use for adding lettering to my projects! They are such a great size and leave plenty of room for some journaling and picture :)

I made a shaker in one of the pockets, adding a Stitched Journal Die as my background and filling it with some sequins and die cut eggs from Hello Chickie! Then using my sewing machine, I ran a stitch line to close up the pocket so nothing falls out. Don't you just love that cute bunny??? I just had to add an enamel dot for his tail....LOL!
The frame was adhered to the journal card on 3 sides so when I get my pic of the kids coloring their eggs I can easily slide it in!

Scrapping The Little Things x2.....{MCT Project Life}

Good Morning everyone!!
This is my first "Scrapping the Little Things" post for My Creative Time
where we are sharing Project Life, Smash book or Scrapbook LO's.
I wanted to jump on the PL bandwagon and hopefully get myself motivated to do something with all the pictures I take of my kiddos :)

Here is a little background to this page and the pictures.....
Christmas time here was crazy to say the least....that is weather wise.
Right before Christmas we had a HUGE snowstorm where we got almost 2 feet of snow. While it was beautiful and the kids had fun playing in it, what came after was not fun!
We had a very nice temp warm~up..... but what comes with a warm~up is melting snow.
We live about 100 yards from a very large creek....can you see where this is going???
The snow was melting, the creek was rising and YUP we were flooding. We were on our own little island. The water was completely surrounding our house and the end of the driveway was under 2 feet of water. There was no way we could leave the house...not only because of the water at the end of our driveway but because our street was under water as well as all the surrounding streets. Then to make matters worse, it snowed again...LOL
These are the pictures from after the second round of snow....Look at all that water

 So you all probably know we own chickens....If not now you do :)
We currently have 4 hens and well here is their coop during the flooding.
Mind you their "home" is sitting up 2 feet from the ground, but with all the water we had, it came up to their doorway to their box. So we did a rescue of them and brought them up to our front porch. Yup at 9 pm the night that the water was rising, my husband went into the foot of freezing water to bring them out one by one. I was on the chicken receiving end and carried them up onto the porch.
LOL....here they are the next morning. Totally confused as to why they were there and then upset that it was now snowing. So they were then moved into the garage. Let me back up a sec and explain why they were moved to the porch. We figured they could free range during the day in the yard where there wasn't water and then be high and dry at night. That did not happen :(  With it snowing again we decided to move them again where they would be confined, warmer and stay out of the crazy elements.

Now to move onto my PL page. After the water went down, we had some bitter cold weather. This lead to 2 days of school being cancelled, but also on the flip side, lead to all that remaining water on the side of the house to freeze. So we took advantage of it and made our own ice rink!

When my hubs and the boys went out to play hockey (without skates too) I grabbed my camera and took these pictures
These are the insert cards I made to match the pictures. I left the tags blank for now (cause I do not like my handwriting) but will print out the wording and attach them to the tags.
I used alot of MCT stamps and dies for these tags. All the products will be listed and linked down below. I also embellished with some Totally Sky Trendy Twine, burlap ribbon and some staples to attach the ribbon. The designer paper I used for the cards are all from Carta Bella~Rough and Tumble. LOVE this paper!!!

MCT Products Used:
Stitched Sweetheart & XOXO Dies

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
You have stuck with me and my super LONG, picture heavy post so far that I have one more PL page I made. This is the one I used for my DT call for MCT that I did not get a chance to share yet.
I took pictures every week for my son's football season with the hope to put together a book for him. Again this series that Emma does is SO going to get my butt in action to complete it for him before the next season begins...LOL!!
Here are the cards I made...again I will link up all the MCT products I used below.
Emma's journal dies and all her stamps make putting these cards together a breeze! Now I just have to work on taking the pictures of them and getting them to look a little better.
Casey plays football for the Clarence Bulldogs and I was able to get the awesome Annie over at SVG Cutting Files to design the logo for me.  How cool is that??
And if you didnt notice he is number 30 and the team's center. He also plays on the line but his heart and soul is in snapping that ball to the quarterback :)
MCT Products Used:
Stitched Journal Die
Just Simply Live
Type Calendar
Touchdown Stamp Set
Sports Sentiment Stamp Set
Journal It Stamp Set
WOWZERS that was a long post! Thanks so much for sticking around for it all!
Make sure you head on over to My Creative Time to see what the rest of the DT made!
I know the inspiration is AWESOME!!!!
Thanks so much for stopping by and have a GREAT Monday!!!
