Baseball MVP.....Scrapping the Little Things w/MCT

Good Morning everyone!!
Welcome to "Scrapping the Little Things" with My Creative Time
where we share Project Life, Smash book or Scrapbook LO's using MCT stamps and dies!
*************************
For today's "Scrapping the Little Things", the DT was given this sketch to base our projects on.....

And here is my smash page.....
My son is playing his first year as a travel baseball player and we have had some amazing moments...with me there snapping away on the camera :) He is always telling me I take too many pictures, my response~ "then I wouldn't be able scrap all your fun times!"  Plus who says there are too many pictures? You can never have enough and thanks to Miss Emma and her "Scrapping the Little Things" segment, it makes me take those pictures from my camera and actually scrap them rather that put them aside for another day!
So that takes me to this weeks smash page. Parker and his team recently competed in the Akron Tournament (we lost but that is ok). At the end of the game, our coach picks one player from the opposite team to award MVP and then their coach does the same for one of our players. Parker was chosen from our team!! He did have an AMAZING game~ he is one of our catchers so as he was playing catcher, he made 2 AWESOME outs at second base. He also hit like a champ. Being his mom I always think he plays great BUT this was one incredible day for him!
My design is very simple for this page and I kept it like that so I could spotlight the pictures. Using the sketch as my guideline, I used the frame die from the Just Simply Live stamp set to place 3 of my favorite pictures from the tournament. Since the Clarence team colors are Red and Black, those are the only colors I used throughout the design. In matching with the sketch, I die cut one of the Tag Dies, extending it a little to make it stretch longer onto my LO. After die cutting the "MVP" using the Lowercase Fun Dies, adding the small Star Stitched Die and placing all my pieces onto my LO, I added my stamped wording. For both the "2014" and "Akron Tournament" I used the new release Alpha Pack. Love this new set and it is going to come in handy with all the journaling and sentiment making for both cards and LO's! Plus there are 3 different type letters in this set!

  1. This layout is awesome!! I love how you framed the MVP with pictures!! My daughter is (or I guess was because it just ended) the catcher for her fast pitch softball team, and I say "there is no such thing as too many pictures!" I would love to make a layout like this for her... she would love it!
