A Special Friend Card---My 1st Attempt with Copics

Good Morning Blogging buddies!!
Today I truely feel blessed that my family is healthy...besides the occasional cold...we are all healthy.

I have a very dear friend that is suffering right now with the devil!
She is battling breast cancer, that scary word that us women all fear...and it just seems that every time I talk to someone else they know of a dear friend who is battling breast cancer also. In the past 6 months I have known of 3 people...2 very good friends. One is recovering and the other is beginning her fight. I know my friend will fight and win but it just hurts as a friend to see her suffering.

I put this card together to give to her. As I posted yesterday I took a beginners copic class and just fell in love with these markers! I want them all!!! This is one of the class samples that we colored.
Aren't these two just precious?! I think I did pretty well for my first time.
I hope she likes it!
I can not remember the card fold name and it is almost as big as a tall card ( mine is 7 1/2 x 3 3/4).
If I find out I will update this :)

Have a GREAT day...

  1. Adorable!
I'm really debating on taking a class. I want to but the only one I can find is a pretty good distance from me and is kinda expensive. Oh, what to do, what to do????

  4. Jess you ROCKED your first attempt at coloring. I love everything about your card and those two little mice are just adorable. Copics are so addicting, but so much fun. I know you are going to do amazing things with them. I am so sorry to hear about your friends. I don't know what is going on with BC but you just keep hearing of more and more people inflicted with it. Nice to see you say that you are thankful for you and your families health. You just never know. Also makes you realize there is such bigger things in life, I often see people getting to rattled with the small stuff in life. Have a great day and I can't wait to see your next coloring project.

  6. I love it, you did a fantastic job!!
I'm jealous, I want some copics, but alas my finances will not allow it as this time.

I am sorry to hear about your friend. Tell her to stay positive, she can and will beat it! It will be 9 years this summer for me since I went through surgery, chemo, etc. for breast cancer. I am happy to say I am still cancer free!
