MCT 38th New Release Sneak Day 2

Good Morning and welcome to Day 2 of sneaks for the new
My Creative Time 38th  Release!

What did you think of yesterdays sneaks and projects?? Pretty AWESOME right?? Well wait until you see what Miss Emma came up with for today's sets!!! I know you guys are going to LOVE them!!!!

Today the DT will be showcasing projects using the new sets~
Stitched Window Dies & Accessories and  Window Sentiments & Flowers

For my inspiration today, I have a CAS holiday card to share and after many attempts to make it just right (in my eyes of course) I think this card turned out beautiful.
Let me know what you think :)
For this card, I had pictured in my mind a city building all decorated for the holidays. Lights lite up on the sidewalk with wreaths and holly decorating the poles, frosty windows from the warmth inside the house and the cool air outside as well as the decorated windows.
So now that you know where the design came from for this card, I tried to recreate it in my card.
I started with a white card base and added a Stitched Rectangular frame using some red cardstock. Next I die cut the window and the window ledge and added some vellum to the back to give the frosty look. I popped that up onto the card from using some foam pop dots and added the sweet sentiment below.
Next I used the lamp pole from the Wishing You Were Here set, adding yellow lights for that soft glow :)
Finally I die cut some holly leaves from the Boughs of Holly set (a MUST have for the holiday season....LOL I have used them for the past 2 days) placed them on the pole and the top of my window and finished my card off by adding some glittery holly berries.

MCT 38th New Release Sneak Day 1

Good Morning and welcome to Day 1 of sneaks for the new
My Creative Time 38th  Release!

Miss Emma has another AMAZING new release and the DT can not wait to share all of our projects with you! We all know you are going to LOVE everything in this release.
So sit back and get ready for a GREAT week of inspiration followed by our blog hop on Friday when we will show you all the entire new release and it will be available for purchase!

Today the DT will be showcasing projects using the new set~
Scalloped Stitched Oval Dies

I know that everyone is going to flip for these!!!!! I know I did when I saw that Emma was releasing them :)

Anyways I have 2 cards to share today...both using these AWESOME new oval dies.
So for my first card I made a holiday shaker card.....
I used designer paper I picked up from Michaels for my card base and then using 2 different sizes of the Stitched Oval Dies, I made my embellishment piece.
I die cut the bottom layer in white cardstock and then die cut the same size for the top layer in the matching red cardstock (I know the picture doesn't really show it but the reds do indeed match!) Then using the smaller oval die, I cut a window out in the red oval.
I added some acetate to the window and stamped my sentiment on the white cardstock for the inside of my shaker. Then filling my shaker with some Christmas sequins from My Craft Spot, I attached the whole embellishment piece to the front of my card. Some added holly leaves and berries from the Boughs of Holly set and my card was complete.

For my next card, I made a birthday card using 2 different sizes of the new Oval Dies and several other MCT stamps and dies....
For this card I used designer paper from Echo Park~That's My Boy paper pack and did a random LO using one of the Stitched Oval Dies for the base of the design, layering two tag dies and 2 stitched stars onto the oval. I added some hemp twine to tie the two tags together and placed some enamel in a random pattern. For the sentiment, I used the smallest Oval Dies and stamped the "Birthday Wishes" from the Teeny Tag Greeting set.
A fun masculine birthday card this turned out to be.

Happy Thanksgiving....{MCT Designer's Challenge}

Good Morning everyone!
Today is an awesome day....for 2 reasons
~it is my BIRTHDAY :)
and it's time for another
~My Creative Time Designers Challenge Thursday!

For today's challenge we have 2 inspiration pictures for you. A gorgeous color combo/photo inspiration as well as a fun sketch!

With Thanksgiving right around the corner, I used the picture inspiration with those beautiful fall colors and kinda incorporated the sketch (flipping it upside down)
to make this card......
To make this card, I started with a brown cardstock base and then die cut the middle size Stitched Rectangular Die so I could pop it up onto the front of the card base. Using my Versamark ink and the Grainy Wood Background stamp, I was able to add the beautiful texture look to the kraft cardstock.  Next I used some scrap designer paper and cut out a few of the leaves from the A Thankful Heart set. I also die cut 2 of the Stitched Leaves(using green cardstock to match the color combo in the pic) Placing those die cuts aside, I used some burlap from my stash to mimic the sketch (kinda...LOL) Next I layered the leaves onto the burlap, attaching them with my hot glue gun to ensure they stay put! I wrapped some hemp twine around the whole embellishment set and finished it off with a beautiful wood button.
Finally I stamped my sentiment, again using the A Thankful Heart Stamp and placed a few random enamel dots for some extra embellishing (plus I think I am addicted to using them...LOL)

Thanksgiving Snack Mix {Trendy Twine}

Good Morning Everyone!
It is my DT day over on the Trendy Twine Blog!

Fall is in the air.....winter in some places :( but Thanksgiving is just around the corner so for my project today, I have a sweet treat idea to share that would surly make those little ones at the Thanksgiving dinner table VERY happy!

I followed the current Trendy Twine Challenge going on right now.....
which is a
Fall Foliage Recipe:
Autumn or Thanksgiving Theme
Fall Foliage (Fall leaves, flowers, branches)
Trendy Twine**

and here is what I came up with.....
Yummy treat don't you think?? And what kiddo doesn't LOVE a homemade, filled with their favorite treat snack mix??
(When I was gathering supplies for this one, my kiddos were over my shoulder sneaking in a handful...I had to chase them out of the kitchen or I wouldn't have enough left for my project..LOL)
The AWESOME thing about making your own snack mix is you can add whatever you have on hand, like in mine I added: chex cereal, m&m's, chocolate covered mini pretzels, yogurt covered raisins and some walnuts. I mixed it all up and poured it into one of the Biggie Candy Bags. I sealed the bag up and it was ready for the tag.

For the tag, I used My Creative Time Just Tags die as well as the leaf dies from the Piles of Smiles set. I die cut both in  brown and orange cardstock to match the Orange Truffle Trendy Twine . For the sentiment, I also used a My Creative Time stamp from the Just for You set. To attach it to the bag, I wrapped one of those ADORABLE Mini Wooden Scoops in some Orange Truffle Trendy Twine and tied it with a double bow.

What a Treat Wednesday w/ MCT {Tic Tac Containers}

Good Morning and Happy Hump Day!!!
 It is
What a Treat Wednesday  with MCT
where the DT makes any container, treat and/or packaging with My Creative Time stamps and dies!
So super fun considering I just LOVE to make holiday treats :)
For my project today, I made some Tic Tac stocking stuffers. My kiddos LOVE these and I always get a few packs to put in their stockings....so why not dress them up a bit for some added fun~ right?? Plus these make AWESOME teacher's gifts too for the holidays.
I ended up picking up some Cherry/Apple ones and some Candy Cane flavored ones for less that $1.50 a pack at Walmart the other day and before I even decorated the covers for them, my kids were calling claim to them...LOL!

Here they are up close....
Decorating these do not have to take alot of time or be embellished a ton to make them fun and gift worthy. For this one I used candy cane striped paper and the adorable sentiment stamp from the A Day in December stamp set. I stamped it onto the Square Stitched Die using black ink and them die cut the teeny heart from the 4x4 Journal Die & More set. Tied closed with a pretty white sheer ribbon and this one was complete.

For the next one, I did them same thing just embellished it using the pine tree from the new Seasonal Greetings set.
I matched the green tree to the pattern paper, popped the tree up using some foam pop dots and added my sentiment, also popped up. The tag is from the Chunky Jar Accessories and fits the Teeny Tag Holidays sentiment perfectly!

MCT Stamp/Die of the Month....MAIN STREET

Good Morning Everyone!!!
Can you believe it is November already????
It's time for the new......
My Favorite Stamp/die of the month!
Today we are featuring the AWESOME "Main Street Stamp Set"
If you have been waiting to get this set, you can do so now HERE at a sale price!
Yep, this set will be on sale for the entire month of November! The sale will end on Nov 30th @ 12:00am PST!

I have 2 cards to share today using the Main Street stamp set and TONS of other MCT goodies...so lets take a look!
For my first card I used the designer paper as my inspiration and worked the card around that. I used only the kraft, red and white color combo and really love the way this turned out. I started with a white card base and added a layer of kraft cardstock and designer paper from Echo Park that I die cut using the largest of the Stitched Rectangular dies. Next I die cut a kraft Stitched Doily, a small Circle from the Bunch of Fun Circle Dies and layered those onto the card mat. I stamped on of the building from the Main Street stamp set and fussy cut it out to pop it onto the circle die. I did add some Wink of Stella glitter to the windows but you really can not see it in the picture :(. Using some matching red designer paper I cut the smallest of the Stitched Hearts Layering Dies popped that up onto the building and again added some Wink of Stella glitter. To finish my card up, I stamped the sentiment from the A Day in December stamp set, fussy cut that banner pieces out and using a small stapler, attached it to the top corner of my card.

For my next card, I tried something different, a single layer stamped card (not sure what the official name is..LOL!). I love the concept of this but I am not sure I like how this turned out. Maybe if my black ink pad was a bit juicier the street stamp would look better? Guess it is time to replace that...anyways here is the card.....
For this card, I started with a kraft cardstock base and stamped the scripty background using brown  into the center of the card. I did make a stencil using the Stitched Rectangle die and some acetate so everything lined up and was centered on the card. I then stamped everything inside of the stencil in layers, the Scripty Background first, the road from the Main Street stamp set next. Then the Whimsical tree over the top. I did add some Wink of Stella to the tree as well as some red stickles. To finish off my card, I stamped my sentiment using the Fun Variety on the Inside & Out set and added 2 more small dots of stickles to either side.
