Hi everyone!
It is time for another Whimsical Wednesday Challenge!
Our fellow DT member Amber~ Staying Crafty chose this weeks challenge....which is
"Three Times a Charm". We were to create a project using 3 cuts, 3 colors only and 3 of the same embellishments.
When I read the challenge requirement I thought "hey this doesn't sound to difficult" but when I sat down to create I was stumped!
I ended up going through all my stamps and found a dollar bin one that is the inspiration for my card.
Ok so I had this stamp and I knew there was a cut on the Preserves Cartridge with a pear on it but when I looked at the booklet there are 3 cuts per pear so I got out my handy dandy gypsy and began playing with the two base cuts.
I was able after much manipulation weld the bottom layer and the next layer. Tada...all I had to do was cut the top layer out twice and I had my pear cut ~~I actually cheated and made 4 cuts..but don't tell anyone :)
I did pop one of the top layers up to give it some dimension.
Alittle inking around the layers also...I just love how it adds so much more to a cut.
My color choice for this was brown, green and pink. Love those colors together and the pattern paper was perfect for this...brown with pink stripes
I embellished with 3 glittery brads and stamped my sentiment with brown memento ink.
Ok so I hope I have inspired you to create a project for this weeks challenge.
There is a great prize for the winner....
The Nursery Rhymes Cartridge.
Remember you have 2 weeks to enter...plenty of time to create!
Thanks for stopping by and hope to see you all over at Whimsical Wednesday!
