Trendy Twine 12 Days of Christmas...{Day 3}

Good Morning everyone,  and welcome to 
Day 3 of our Trendy Twine 12 Days of Christmas.
It is my day to post on the Trendy Twine Blog and I have another gift giving idea to share!

 I hope you have had the chance to hop our
Christmas Tin Blog Hop. If you haven't checked it out...make sure you do..it all starts HERE! The projects are AWESOME and there is a GREAT prize for 2 lucky hoppers! 

For my project today I found some Candy Cane chapstick while shopping at Walmart and thought...hummm this would make a GREAT stocking stuffer :) But you can't just give a chapstick...especially us crafters..we have to package it pretty and of course add a tag~ so I ended up designing a chapstick holder to fit inside the Shorty Candy Chutes that are available in the Trendy Twine store.
Since I get to showcase the Peppermint Icicle Trendy Twine this month, I used the colors from the twine~ light blue, red and white as the color theme. I used blue cardstock for the holder and dropped my chapstick into the Shorty Candy Chute. I added a stamped sentiment to the front using a stamp and die set from My Creative Time~ Postcard Add-Ons and Build a Banner Kit. Next I wrapped my Peppermint Icicle Trendy Twine around the box~ and if you look closely you can see I placed it under the bottom closure. This helps the twine stay in place and not slip off. I actually did it with the top of the box too but took the picture before changing it up.
Then using the Stitched Decorative Banners Die from My Creative Time, I die cut my tag, stamped the sentiment from the All Around Christmas stamp set, added an eyelet and tied a pretty simple bow holding the tag in place on my Shorty Candy Chute.
Didn't this turn out adorable??? I love finding new ways to package items and these candy chutes can be used for so much!

MCT "5 Days of Christmas"....{Day 2}

Good Morning everyone and welcome to 
Day 2 of My Creative Time's 
"5 Days of Christmas"
If you haven't had a chance to check out yesterday's projects..make sure you do! They are all AWESOME and you can find the direct link to Emma's post HERE. There are AMAZING projects and ton's of holiday inspiration..plus a SWEET prize for one lucky crafter!

For my project today, I made one of my favorite holiday gifts~ chocolate nuggets and added a fun and very easy to replicate tag to the top.  I used the Candy Bags from Trendy Twine and wrapped 6 chocolate nuggets using red and green cardstock. Once they were all wrapped, I placed them in the bag..putting those aside to make my tags.

For the tags, I used MCT~Just Tag Dies and cut them out using white and black cardstock. Next I stamped my sentiment onto the bottom right hand corner using the stamp set~ From our Family to Yours. Using the same color cardstock that I wrapped the chocolate with, I die cut the leaves and berries from the Boughs of Holly set (LOVE this set BTW!)
Alittle x-mas red stickles and some Candy Cane Trendy Twine and my nugget treats are completed!

Trendy Twine Christmas Tin Blog Hop

Good Morning and welcome to the 
Trendy Twine Christmas Tin Blog Hop

 Now for my project! I have to say I LOVE the way this turned out. Even my kiddo's loved it SO they are now going to be made for all their teacher's for the holidays. They each have 8 so I will be making 15 more of these and I sure hope they love them too :)
So here is my chocolate filled tin.....
I used the Candy Tin and wrapped and filled it with 12 chocolate nuggets. Since I was using the beautiful Peppermint Icicle Trendy Twine (a twist of red, white & lt blue - Christmas Bakers Twine) I found designer paper that was a perfect match.  Once they were all wrapped and laid inside the tin, I added the belly band and then added my nice big tag!

For the tag, I used the dies from My Creative Time, Stitched XL Label Die and XL Label Die and the same designer paper that I used to wrap the candies in. I then wrapped the Peppermint Icicle Trendy Twine around the center of the top layer 3 times to make a nice thick wrap. Using some silver jingle bells from my stash, I tied them onto the twine and then tied the twine into a bow.
Finally to finish my project off, I stamped my sentiment using the Boughs of Holly stamp set from MCT onto the white section of the label die.

Peachy Keen Stamps/Miss Kate Cuttables Holiday Co-Hop

Good Morning and welcome to the
Holiday Co-Hop!
We have a week filled with wonderful
Holiday projects created by the talented and amazing designers from both teams!


We recently had a few days off for some bad weather that hit our area. There were parts that received up to 7 feet...yes 7 feet of snow. Where I live, just north of this area we got nothing. Well a little dusting but that is about it. My kids had 4 days off from school and they didn't have any snow to play in. So when I saw this CUTE penguin from the Burr, It's Cold set, I knew I had to pair him up with the sentiment from the new PKS set~ Faceless Happy Snow Day Characters . 
To make my card, which is a 4 1/2 x 4 1/2 size, I started with a kraft cardstock base, added a layer of white cardstock and then some pretty striped designer paper from DCVW. I die cut it using the 4 x 4 Journal Die & More set from My Creative Time and then stamped the sentiment using the new PKS set PK~1452.
Next I cut the adorable penguin and used coordinating paper for his hat and scarf from the same paper pad from DCVW. I used the newly released PK~1447 Happy Penguin Couples Face Assortment for his face which I then colored in using a mix of copic and chalk ink. He was then popped up onto the front of my card using some foam pop dots. 
To finish my card off, I added some die cut snowflakes from MCT~Winter Flake Dies and some sparkly enamel dots to the center.

MCT 38th New Release Blog Hop!!!

This week has been so much fun with the DT sharing amazing projects and inspiration! But we have one more day of AWESOME~NESS!

Today I get to showcase this releases FREEBIE stamp set~

Here is the card I made..... I just LOVE that vine and really wanted to highlight that as my focal point. To make my card, I started with a kraft cardstock base, added a layer of black cardstock and then using the largest of the Stitched Rectangular Dies, added a layer of designer paper from DCVW. Since I knew I was going to use the sentiment that is also included in this set, I die cut one of the Stitched Sweethearts and stamped the vine directly over the heart and spilled the remaining image onto the printed designer paper. For alittle more added detail, I pulled out my neglected sewing machine and ran a single line through the center of the heart.
Next I stamped my sentiment onto the bottom right hand corner..dont you just love that scripty font of the "LOVE"? I know I do!!!!
Then to finish my card off I added some enamel dots to the top corner of the heart and around the sentiment. I also added a few to the vine...so pretty!!

Peachy Keen Stamps November New Release~ Sneak Day 2

Good Morning everyone and welcome to Day 2 of sneaks for the
Peachy Keen Stamps November New Release.

What did you think of yesterday's projects?? Super CUTE right??
Well today we have more AWESOME new stamps to showcase and ADORABLE projects to share :)
I LOVE making holiday treats to hand out so for today's project I made some candy sticks using the sweet new Happy Snow Couple 1 1/8" faces.....
I just LOVE these happy faces!!! I stamped them onto one of the MCT stitched circle dies and then colored them in using my copics and my white gel pen.
Next for their hats, I used the MCT St. Patty's day hat which actually worked AWESOME for these guys! Since these are Christmas candy sticks, I used the holly leaves and a berry for their hats and then tied the tags onto the candy sticks using some Candy Cane Trendy Twine.
BTW~ I did fill them with the new Mint M & M's...YUMMY!!!!
These were so fun to make and I can not wait to hand some of these cuties out to my friend's little ones. They would make GREAT school party favors too!!!
