Hey Smartie!......{PKS Challenge 14~12}

Morning everyone!
Welcome to another fun Peachy Keen Stamps Challenge!!!!

For this challenge you can pick either the sketch OR the Photo/Color picture OR combine them both! A little twist to what we were doing with our challenges~ instead of having 2 weeks to enter, you now have a month to enter! So get playing with your PKS and enter to win an AWESOME prize!
So for my card, I used the sketch and pulled 3 colors from the color pallet to come up with this card....hope you like it!
School is starting here for my boys in less than 3 weeks so I took advantage of this sketch to make a School themed card. I pulled the colors green, blue and orange from the photo as my starting point and found designer paper from Echo Park that was perfect. For that adorable pencil, I used a file from SVG Cutting Files, hid the face and added my own PKS face from the Simple Sallies stamp set. Some chalk, white gel pen and glossy accents finished him up. Isn't he adorable????
Then for the sentiment, I used the stamp set~ Smartie the Owl and matched it with the doodle mark from MCT. Looks like a pencil mark doesn't it?

Boo!....{Thrifty Thursday w/MCT}

Good morning everyone and welcome to another
My Creative Time's Thrifty Thursday.
A day set aside to share any type of project using our scraps/leftovers or recycling items as well as using My Creative Time stamps and dies!

For my project today, I used scraps of designer paper, and a few diecuts I had left over from my last Halloween card I made. I love the MME~Mischievous paper pad and for the 34th New Release sneak I made this card (HERE). My process of making cards always changes, so I end up cutting out several pieces, playing around with my design and then placing whatever cuts I don't use into a container for another time. I then can take this opportunity~ Thrifty Thursday~ to use some of those cuts.
Here is the card I made. I really love the way it turned out! Super cute and so not spooky...LOL!
Shaker cards are so easy to make and add an extra element of fun to cards. Inside mine I added some orange, black and white sequins and then some blue seed beads that I had in my stash.
Here is another angle of my card. I used the Bunch of Fun Circle Dies for the shaker part and then added that adorable Ghost die. I did stamp him with the new PKS face from the Trio of Girl Ghosts stamp set. For the sentiment, I used the letters from the Lowercase Fun Dies set and then just glued them to the front of my card. Some orange hemp twine, random sequins and some machine stitching and my card was finished.

What do you think of my card?? I love using up scraps that would otherwise pile up and get forgotten about! And shaker cards are so fun to make! If you have not tried one yet you really should!
Make sure you head on over to My Creative Time to see what the rest of the DT made!
I know the inspiration is AWESOME!!!!

Don't forget to join us tomorrow for a special release and awesome blog hop!
You are going to LOVE this mini release!

Thanks so much for stopping by and have a GREAT Thursday!

Happy Birthday Lorie!!!!

Good Morning everyone!!
Today is a very special day!
It is Lorie's 50th birthday and a few of her friends have gotten together to flood her with love and of course birthday cards and wishes!
We have created this hop so you can visit all the blogs that have created a card for Lorie. Stop by one or all and see just what Lorie means to all of us crafters!

~Lorie if you are stopping by to see your card that I made, I just wanted to let you know that you ROCK!!! You are one of the sweetest and most talented crafters I know! You are an AMAZING team leader and I wish you the Happiest Birthday!!!! May your day be filled with lots of love and happiness!
Hugs to you my friend!~

Now for the card I made for Lorie! She should be getting it in the mail very shortly!
Hope you like it!
For my card I used the designer paper from MME~Market paper pad. I did add some wonky (LOL...that's a word right??) machine stitching to the border and set it aside to work on the rest. Using the adorable Elephant from the Elephant Parade stamp set, I paper pieced her using matching designer paper. Some white gel pen and chalk and she was done. Using the Tag Die from MCT, I placed my Elephant on top, along with her cute party hat. I stamped the sentiment using the June SOTM kit and then added some enamel dots. I thought my card was missing something so I die cut the banner and draped it over the corner. Still missing something, I stamped the sentiment "PARTY" using the Reto-bet Round stamp set. Colored the letters in with my copics and then added the finishing touch....some bling!

Happy Birthday.....{MCT Designer Challenge}

Morning Everyone!
Hope you all are having a great week so far!
Boy is it flying by for me...Another day and it is the weekend!!!!
Anyways it is time for another
My Creative Time Designer Challenge!!!
Today's challenge is to use the photo below for your project...
You can use the picture or the colors or combine both for your project.
I ended up using the colors to make a birthday card for my Father-in-Law.
Here is my inspiration.....
I love the bright colors that this paper pad has and it is a perfect match to the color challenge picture.  I used one of my favorite dies...the Bunch of Fun Circles as my starting point for my card and then worked the rest of the card around that.....layering 2 of the circles for my sentiment focal point. Both the "Happy" and the birthday are from the Happy Thoughts set and I used the new release Trio  Stitched Banners to stamp the birthday onto. A fun patterned balloon from the Stitched Party Die tied with some Totally White Trendy Twine and some enamel dots finished off my card.

Other Products Used:
My Minds Eye~ Six by Six paper pad

Enamel Dots

So there is my Designer Challenge inspiration. I hope you like my card.
Make sure to head on over to the My Creative Time blog for more inspiration from the rest of the DT and for all the details on linking up your project!

You should be coming from
if not, head on back to the beginning~ over at the
you are not going to want to miss a thing!

Now onto my project...
which I think is so super ADORABLE if I must say so myself :)
I made a Halloween Party Invite and matching party favors....Hope you like it!!!
OMG these new stamps are so fun! Plus I LOVE Halloween time and making treats!!! So here is how I made these~ I  started out with the idea to use the new PKSC~32 August 2014 SOTM set to make a party invite. All of the images, plus the sentiments are included in that set so you can easily make your own party invites!
The Only additional products I added to the invite is the Date, Time and Place which I used from the MCT Let's Celebrate Stamp Set
After stamping the sentiments and spider web onto my Stitched 4x6 Journal Die, I used the SVG's for the SOTM and stamped the scientist and test tube onto some white cardstock. Then using my copics, I added color to both images, some purple stickles and popped them up onto my invite.
What's a party without some party favors right??? Well I had these test tubes that I picked up last Halloween which were waiting to be used! I filled them with some purple candies and then made a matching tag for each one. I use the larger of the Just Tag Stamp and Die set and stamped my sentiment as well as some extra bubbles. Then doing the same thing with the test tube, I stamped that fun new PK face, colored the test tube in and popped it up onto the front of my tag.
I tied the tags onto the test tubes using some Grape Fizz Trendy Twine and some Purple Passion 3GJ Crinkle Ribbon

Now for my projects.....
I have 2 to share...hope you like them!!!
Here is my first one using the cute PK~1417 Faceless Zombie Kids 1. I am not sure about zombies so this one I made more cute than scary...LOL! She has a normal face rather than a green zombie like face :) I like her like this...don't you???
I colored some of her in using my copics but the rest I paper pieced using designer paper from DCVW The Spookytime Stack.

Additional Supplies Used:
MCT Bunch of Fun Circle Dies
Stitched Vintage Label Die
Totally Black Trendy Twine

Then for my next card I used the new PK~1422 Posable Skeleton set.
And he really is poseable!
The fun part about this set is there are 3 different faces and then each of the pieces of the body so you and make your own skeleton!
I cut each of the stamped images out, colored it with my copics (light grays) and then added tiny brads to each of the parts, letting them swing free. To attach him to my card, I popped his head and body up and did not attach his arms and legs.
So he really is a posable sketeton!
Then for the sentiment, I used the "dance" from the SOTM that was showcased yesterday and the "let's" from the PK~115 Let's Ketchup stamp set.
Some beautiful ribbon and hemp twine to hold my sentiment in place as well as some random enamel dots and this card is done!

So there are my sneaks for today! I sure hope you have enjoyed them!!! There is tons more coming tomorrow BUT make sure to check out what the rest of the DT has made!!
You will LOVE all the inspiration!

Tomorrow we’ll be back with our Release and Reveal Blog Hop along with a chance to win a $50 PKS Gift Certificate! Hope you will join us!!

Thanks for stopping by and have a GREAT night!

Baseball MVP.....Scrapping the Little Things w/MCT

Good Morning everyone!!
Welcome to "Scrapping the Little Things" with My Creative Time
where we share Project Life, Smash book or Scrapbook LO's using MCT stamps and dies!
*************************
For today's "Scrapping the Little Things", the DT was given this sketch to base our projects on.....

And here is my smash page.....
My son is playing his first year as a travel baseball player and we have had some amazing moments...with me there snapping away on the camera :) He is always telling me I take too many pictures, my response~ "then I wouldn't be able scrap all your fun times!"  Plus who says there are too many pictures? You can never have enough and thanks to Miss Emma and her "Scrapping the Little Things" segment, it makes me take those pictures from my camera and actually scrap them rather that put them aside for another day!
So that takes me to this weeks smash page. Parker and his team recently competed in the Akron Tournament (we lost but that is ok). At the end of the game, our coach picks one player from the opposite team to award MVP and then their coach does the same for one of our players. Parker was chosen from our team!! He did have an AMAZING game~ he is one of our catchers so as he was playing catcher, he made 2 AWESOME outs at second base. He also hit like a champ. Being his mom I always think he plays great BUT this was one incredible day for him!
My design is very simple for this page and I kept it like that so I could spotlight the pictures. Using the sketch as my guideline, I used the frame die from the Just Simply Live stamp set to place 3 of my favorite pictures from the tournament. Since the Clarence team colors are Red and Black, those are the only colors I used throughout the design. In matching with the sketch, I die cut one of the Tag Dies, extending it a little to make it stretch longer onto my LO. After die cutting the "MVP" using the Lowercase Fun Dies, adding the small Star Stitched Die and placing all my pieces onto my LO, I added my stamped wording. For both the "2014" and "Akron Tournament" I used the new release Alpha Pack. Love this new set and it is going to come in handy with all the journaling and sentiment making for both cards and LO's! Plus there are 3 different type letters in this set!

Other Products Used:
Simple Stories Smash Book Page
Doodlebug Designs~Patriotic Parade paper pack

That is all I have for now.... I really hope you have enjoyed my smash page!
Make sure you head on over to My Creative Time to see what the rest of the DT made!
I know the inspiration is AWESOME!!!!
Thanks so much for stopping by and have a GREAT Monday!!!
