Today the DT is sharing projects using the sets~
Puffy Hearts Just For You
Stitched Sweethearts & XOXO
and
Mini Stitched Envelope Die

I have 2 different projects to share with you today. Love is in the air and these sets are PERFECT for all your Valentine's Day projects (as well as LOTS of other things as well!)
For my first project I made a Valentine's Day mailbox.
OMG how cute is this with those Mini Stitched Envelopes!
For the mailbox, I used a file from SVG cutting Files and designer paper from Recollections.
I added the reinforcers from the Scalloped Stitched Envelope Die and tied it all together with some Totally White Trendy Twine.
Who wouldn't love to receive some love letters! And yes you can add a message in these!!!

For my next project I made a Valentine's Day card....
I love the color combo of this card...don't you?
I used the Stitched Doily Die for the sentiment spot and the new Stitched Sweetheart Dies for the hearts. Then for the kraft panel, I used one of the Fun Stitched Edges to make the decorative border. I finished my card up with a button from my stash and a piece of Totally White Trendy Twine.

I just LOVE these new snowflake dies!! Aren't they gorgeous?!?!

I wanted to keep my card CAS to show those beautiful snowflakes.
I added some SU bling to the center of my die cuts and glued just the centers onto my cardstock so the snowflakes have a bit more dimension.

Just Chillin!........ w/Trendy Twine

Morning Everyone!
I can not believe it has been almost a week since I have posted!
I think this is the longest my blog has gone without a post in 3 years :(
But I do have to say it has been really nice enjoying the family over the somewhat long snowy weekend we have had and today is another snow day for the boys.
We are currently under a Blizzard warning...Yikes!
But all is good...
Cause I am popping in to share a project I made for the new Trendy Twine Monthly Challenge.
The DT is currently on a "vacation" this month but I still wanted to make something and share it with everyone so I hope you will join in and play along!
The challenge this month is:

Let It Snow!
~Project must be a tag
~Include a
snowman ,snowflakes,

and
some Trendy Twine

**If you do not have Trendy Twine, use hemp, jute,
embroidery thread, or yarn only
(no other brands of bakers twine)**

And here are the tags I made....
So cute....right?????
Well here is how I made them.
I started with the My Creative Time~ Tag Dies and die cut them out using designer papers from My Minds Eye and Echo Park. I did then add a MCT~Stitched Round Tab to the tops of both tags, to give it a little more stability for threading my ribbon though.
For the cute sentiment and banner, I again used MCT products, the sentiment is from the Things I Love stamp set and it was stamped on a Stitched Vintage Label Die.
To hold the sentiment onto the tag, I used some of the gorgeous 5/8" Sheer Textured May Arts Ribbon that I picked up from my friend Beckie over at her Etsy store Sparkly Sweet Craft Notions.

Moving on in the tag, those snowmen are from  Peachy Keen Stamps July SOTM.
Since I am a monthly club member one of the fun perks is the svg's that come with the kit.
I used the 2 snowmen, cut them out with my cameo and then stamped and paper pieced the hat and scarves. I colored in their noses and mouths with copics, added some pink chalk to their cheeks and some enamel dots to their buttons.
And to finish these cuties up I gave them some pom poms using my favorite~ the Trendy Twine Totally White!
The one snowman got a pom pom for his hat and the other snowman got some earmuffs.
They are so easy to make and add such a cute embellishment...don't you think???

Well there is my project for the new challenge.
Again all the details on entering can be found HERE.
The challenge will run through January 24th so plenty of time to make a project and share it with us!

Before I head out I just want to share one more thing.....
Valentine's Day is quickly approaching and there is a GREAT bunch of mini's in the store
Valentine Cherry Cupcake Mini Set by Trendy Twine
This set would be perfect for all those LOVE projects :)
You can find them in the store along with LOTS of great other colors and goodies!!!

Well that is all I have....
Thanks so much for stopping by and have a GREAT day!!!

Happy New Year!!! EXCITING NEWS.....2014 is going to be AWESOME.....

Morning everyone and Happy 2014!!!
I am so excited about 2014....I know it is going to be an AWESOME year!!!
I have lots of fun things coming and will share them all in due time but are you ready for this HUGE ANNOUNCEMENT????

Miss Emma has chosen me to be one of her new DT Members for

My Creative Time!!

EEEKKKK that is pretty much all I said when I read the email from her!!
I am sure all my followers know what a HUGE MCT fan I am~ I use something from her on almost every project I make and I can not wait to share all the fun new stamps and dies Emma has coming!
If you are new to my blog~coming from MCT to say hello~ here is alittle about myself :)

I am very luck to be a SAHM from Buffalo, NY. I am married to a wonderful and very supportive husband and I have  two very active boys, ages 12 1/2 and 10 . Between football for my oldest son and travel baseball with my youngest, I needed an activity for myself and I found a love of  card making using dies, stamps and my FAV cutting machine~ the Silhouette Cameo. You can always find me sharing projects here on my blog~Chick-n-Scrap and entering my projects in various challenges with my hope to inspire just someone along my crafty journey.

Please make sure to check out the MCT blog to meet the other DT members! It is an AWESOME group of talented ladies.

I wanted to share 2 projects I made for the DT call....Both of them holiday related :)
First are some 3D Santa Pillow Boxes
I was asked by one of the teacher's from my son's school to make her some gift card holders that would hold more than 1 GC. I love how pillow boxes look and thought these my work for what she wanted. Well they were a HUGE hit and I ended up making 15 for her. Then my girlfriend saw these and wanted some, so I made another 12 for her. They were really fun to make and I had feathers floating around my crafty area for weeks..LOL
MCT Products Used:
Warm Holiday Fun (ornament die and sentiment for candies)
All Around Christmas
Additional Products Used
pillow box cut
Peppermint Stick Trendy Twine
boa, ribbon, eyelets
nugget candies

My next project is a holiday Shaker Card.
I saw this idea on pinterest~ a snow globe type card using a jar stamp and knew with some MCT stamps and dies I could make this a card with my twist on it.
It is so much fun in person, shaking the chunky glitter around inside the Jar Die cut.
 MCT Products Used:
Christmas House
Stitched Chunky Jar Dies

Well I hope you have enjoyed my projects! I again am over the moon excited and can not wait for a GREAT year to share all that Emma has planned to release!
The first release sneaks will begin on January 13th so stay tuned!!
Thanks so much for stopping by and have a
GREAT
New Year's Day!

Favorite Project of 2013.....{The Kraft Journal}

Good Morning and Happy Monday Everyone!
It is time for a new challenge over at
 The Kraft Journal!

This week the challenge is:
Favorite Project of 2013

Wow what an awesome year it has been for me with TKJ DT. I have enjoyed being a part of and designing with the fun products that you can purchase at The Kraft Outlet. I hope I have inspired you with some of my projects.
With that being said, this is my final project as a DT member for The Kraft Journal :(
I have chosen to step down to pursue other crafty avenues and it would only be fair to my family, my blog and the DT members on this awesome team to give up some of my obligations to take on others. I value my work so much as well as the time I put into my blog that some things eventually have to be let go.

Now that all the mushy stuff is out of the way I can share one of my favorite projects of 2013, a birthday card I made for my son for the RED, WHITE and BLUE challenge.
You can see the original post HERE.
Enjoy everyone!
I started out with a Brown Kraft Cardstock base and added a mat of Peebles Let Freedom Ring pattern paper.  Using my cameo and a star file from the Silhouette store, I cut 2 stars....one using the kraft and another one using some Bazzill blue. Since there is no white in my pattern paper, I added some white gel pen doodles (wanted to make sure I was following TKJ challenge) Again since this is for my son's 10th birthday I added the number's "1" and "0" using Tim Holtz Mini Numerals and popping them up using some foam adhesive.
I wanted my sentiment to be on some Cream Twill Tape , so I stamped The Alley Way Stamp Wish BIG birthday sentiment using  Stazon Black Ink directly onto the ribbon. Didn't it turn out awesome????? To finish my card up I added one of my favorite embellishments from The Kraft Outlet~ the Custom Fasteners. Two of the stickers that come with this set were a perfect match to my card!

So there you have it....my inspiration for this week's challenge.
I hope you have enjoyed my card and will play along with us!
As always I have linked all the supplies I used from The Kraft Outlet throughout my description.  If you have not checked out the store yet....make sure you do! There is so much available, the prices are so reasonable and shipping is super fast!!!

Thanks so much for stopping by and have a GREAT Monday!!

A Look Back at My Favorite 3GJ Projects

Good Morning and Happy Friday!
 I am here to
share some of my favorite projects and to share some sad news.

First for the news......
This is my last post as a 3GJ DT member :(
After over 2 years on the DT, I have decided to step down and give the Challenge Coordinator position over to someone else. It was a very hard decision but something I had to do.
I have enjoyed designing with Julie's gorgeous ribbon and showcasing my work both here, on the challenge blog and on the 3GJ blog that I will truly miss everyone on this team!
Thank you so much Julie for everything you have done for me and allowing me to share your products with all of my followers!

So now I have some projects to share....some of my favorite from the past 2 years!
I will add links to each of the projects below each picture if you will like to go back to my blog to check out the projects in full!

Before I sign off, I wanted to remind you all of the current challenge we having going on.
Holiday Gifts w/Ribbon
Here was my inspiration project and you will be able to link up your projects down below.

Thanks so much for spending this time with me as I walk down 3GJ memory lane. There are many many more projects on my blog using 3GJ products if you are interested in checking them out.

Have a GREAT Friday!!!!

Merry Christmas...{Trendy Twine & PKS}

Good Morning!!
I just wanted to pop in and wish everyone a VERY Merry Christmas!
May you homes be filled with happiness, love and many wonderful memories!

A few of the Trendy Twine DT members are sharing some Christmas cards to wish all our Trendy Twine fans a Merry Christmas so make sure to head over to the Trendy Twine blog to see what they have created as well.

For my card I used the current photo inspiration from Peachy Keen Stamps (pic can be seen below) and some Holly Berry Trendy Twine for this cute package inspired card.
This is the final challenge of 2013 over at PKS and I am so very proud to say that I have completed every weekly challenge this year and entered all of their new release challenges as well! So with that being said here is the final project for PKS for 2013!

I colored that adorable PKS elf using my copic markers and also paper pieced his hat and outfit using matching pattern papers from Echo Park~ Season's Greeting paper pack. For his hat and mittens, I added some stickles, just for alittle extra sparkle :)
Then for the card itself, I wanted it to look like a package so I wrapped some Holly Berry Trendy Twine and some green ribbon from my stash around the card mat. I tied the twine on the front and used it to hold my PTI tag in place.

Supplies Used:
Paper~ Kraft, Bazzill Green
Echo Park~Season's Greetings
Stamps~ Peachy Keen Stamps~Skip the Elf
Peachy Keen Stamps~Christmas Tag Minis
Dies~PTI Tag Die
Embellishments~ Trendy Twine~Holly Berry
copics, white gel pen
stickles
ribbon

Well I hope you have enjoyed my card!
Thanks for shopping by and again wishing you all a
Very Merry Christmas!!
