You're the only fish for me!....{MCT Trending Now}

Good Morning everyone and welcome to another
"Trending Now" with My Creative Time!!
Today's trending now is UNDER the SEA and the DT is creating projects inspired by the sea or beach.
I love fish and we have several fish tanks in our house so today's project is inspired by both our fish tanks and our recent trip to the beach where we did lots of fishing.
Here is the card I made....
To make my card, I started with a kraft cardstock base, added a layer of white cardstock and then die cut some designer paper (lawn fawn~Perfectly plaid) using my Stitched Rectangular Frame Die & More set.
Next I die cut the porthole using the Lost at Sea set. I layered a piece of blue vellum under the porthole as well as a piece of white cardstock that I die cut using the Bunch of Fun Circle Dies. Some added mini brads completed my porthole.
That adorable fish, coral and sentiment all come from the set~ You're a Great Catch. I stamped both the fish and coral on scrap designer paper , die cut them out and popped them up onto the front of the porthole.
To complete my card, I added some Morning Dew Nuvo Drops to look like fish bubbles.

Here are some pics from our recent camping trip in Myrtle Beach.
Fishing and crabbing right outside of our camper :)

And here are a few of our goldfish. We have had some of these guys for over 7 years and they are HUGE! Currently living in a 120 gallon fish tank and a 10ft swimming pool :)

Well that is all I have for today~

Get Whale Soon....{MCT Thoughtful Thursday}

Good Morning everyone!
I hope you are all having a GREAT week so far!!!

It's Thursday  which means time for another

For my card today, I made a get well card using the revised set~ Get Whale Soon
Take a look and let me know what you think.....

To make my card, I started with a kraft cardstock base, added a layer of white cardstock and then die cut a piece of designer paper from Lawn Fawn using the Stitched Rectangular Frame Die
I added some waves using the die from the set~ You're a Great Catch which I layered under that pretty navy ribbon.
The frame that the adorable whale is sitting on is from the  set~ Scalloped Stitched Square Dies. The whale was popped up onto the frame and the water spout was then stamped onto the square mat.
The sentiment which is also from the set Get Whale Soon was stamped onto the Fun Stitched Tag Die
Finishing touches to my card were some matching enamel dots.

Birthday Fishes.....MCT Made in Minutes

Good Morning everyone!!!
It is time for another
My Creative Time's~ Made In Minutes!
The MCT DT will be sharing quick and easy projects using MCT stamps and dies that you can recreate in no time!
To make my card, after finding the paper pad I wanted to use, took me about 15 minutes to put together. I die cut the top layer using the largest Stitched Rectangular Frame Die and then die cut a circle off to the side using one of the medium Circle Dies. Since I just LOVE to stamp onto pattern paper, I die cut the fishy out and then stamped them onto some fun pattern paper (all the paper I used on my card is from Teresa Collins~Far & Away)
Next I tucked the fish half behind the circle peeking out and placed the other one onto the top of the card front.
I stamped my sentiment, using the newly released You're a Great Catch onto the card front, added some bubbles that I embellished with glossy accents and then tied the whole card together with some hemp twine.
My finishing touches included using a pear pin hooked onto the hemp twine which I added a die cut and stamped hook to.
I made this card for my FIL's birthday which is this coming Wednesday. He LOVES to fish and I know he will get a kick out of this card.

Gone Fishing!.....Scrapping the Little Things w/My Creative Time!

Good Morning and Welcome to another Scrapping the Little Things with My Creative Time
Before I share my PL cards I just want to apologize for not being around all last week. I was home in bed with pneumonia :( My oldest has been sick since before the 4th of July with pneumonia and just finished his second round of antibiotics. Then my youngest got an ear infection. Well 2 rounds of antibiotics for him as well so you know I was bound to get something from those kiddos. All last weekend I was feeling worse and worse and Monday morning it hit me hard. Off to the Dr's, a chest xray later to confirm and home to bed for the week. I did manage to make it to my son's All Star game but even sitting out in the fresh air wore me out. I am happy to say (even with this annoying cough still) I am feeling better and got in a weekend of baseball too!

Now onto my PL cards...
My kiddos are so lucky to have inlaws that have a summer home on the lake. We try so hard to make it down there are much as possible and when we do go, the boys spend HOURS fishing both on the dock and in the boat with my father in law. When Emma released those adorable new fishy stamps and dies, I knew I had to scrap some of my favorite pics of the boys fishing!
These pictures were taken last summer (I know I am WAY behind in my picture scrapping..LOL) I used the Stitched Journal Die for the 3x4 pic and shaker and the larger 4X6 Journal Die for the larger pic.
The sentiments on the smaller picture was stamped from the set~Find Joy in the Little Things on one of the tags from the Fun Stitched Tag Dies set. The larger sentiment, from the same above set was stamped onto the banner from the Vintage Stitched Label Die. I did embellish that further by adding some silver thread behind the sentiment. Kinda looks like fishing line doesnt it?
For the final 3x4 pocket, I made a fish bowl shaker. I stamped, die cut and colored the adorable goldfish and placed him inside the pocket with some blue sequins, a colored plant and then added a layer of vellum to the top.
