~~Whimsical Wednesday Blog Hop~~

Welcome to the Whimsical Wednesday blog hop!
You should have arrived here from Star: http://starspaperpassion.blogspot.com/
If you just happened to drop by to say hi please go to the Whimsical Wednesday Blog to start at the beginning of the hop. For this hop we all made banners/wall decor that will be sent to a nursing home. The link to read more about this is posted at the Whimsical Wednesday Blog.

This is my project...

My banner was made using the SVG file I purchased over at SVGcuts.com.
This is Cheryl's Cute Bugs and one of the projects with this file is a door hanger.
Instead of a door hanger I made it into a door banner :)
The banner measures 2 1/2'  feet by 3". Long and slim but I think not too overpowering on a door.
All the paper used for this project is scrap from my stash.

The first section, the vine has small pearl accents as well as the textured butterfly. I used  Divine Swirls and Swiss Dots cuttlebug folder for this.

This ladybug has some white gel pen details, she is raised up with foam dots and some bling was added to the corners...I also used the Divine Swirls folder as well as the Distressed Stripes folder. A simple tied bow was added to the upper corner

The worm in this section is also foam dotted up and white gel pen doodled. I added some purple bling for the eye as well as around the border.
The bottom of the banner has the dragonfly and a small butterfly. I added white gel pen stitching around the square base. Bling in the corners and white gel pen doodles on the bugs.
The entire banner is connected with some crinkle like ribbon and my hot glue gun.

I hope this banner brings a smile to the recipient and maybe brightens their day every time they see it!
