For my inspiration I get to showcase the new set~
Halloween Fun Tag Dies
which also happens to be this releases FREEBIE!
Take a look at my adorable Halloween Home Decor project and let me know what you think..
How cute is this fabric pumpkin? It was so easy to make.
Inside the pumpkin is a roll of toilet paper..LOL
All you have to do is take a piece of fabric and wrap the toilet paper with it tucking the edges inside the top of the roll.
Then I grabbed a stick from outside, placed it inisde the top of the roll and added a piece of green ribbon.
But the cutest part is being able to personalize it with MCT stamps and dies! I used the new Halloween Fun Tag Dies and a sentiment from the new Halloween Fun for the tag. Attached with a piece of hemp twine and my project is all done!
Just think of all the cute pumpkins you can make using different fabrics and of course the awesome new sentiments and tags from MCT!
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
I was also able to make another project for the hop. A spooky Halloween treat. Take a look at this...
So you all know how much I LOVE to make treats....Well this one is super spooky cute to make for classroom treats.
I used the  2x2 Note Holder Die die cut using some designer paper from my stash. Again using the new Halloween Fun stamp/die set, I added the spooky jack-o-lantern die and the sentiment. A ribbon tied on the sucker handle and this treat was completed.
So there are my projects!!! Now for all the fun stuff.....
Snow Day~Wooden Spool Ornaments.....{PKS November Challenge #2}
Hi Everyone!
I am back with my 2nd project completed for the
and again I just LOVE the way these turned out!!!!
Here is the challenge hosted by Amy
Up-cycle something in your home (canister, cereal box, paper roll, etc.) into a Holiday decoration for your home.
and here is what I made....
I up~cycled some wooden spools that I had in my drawer and made these adorable snowman ornaments....
Ok so are these not super adorable?????
These were very easy to make also.
Here is what I did....I had some old wooden spools in a drawer that holds items I want to up~cycle and while searching though that I remembered why I was hoarding them...to make these :)
I picked out some designer paper that was somewhat plain so I could stamp my PK faces on them. After measuring the spool and cutting my paper down to size of course.
After stamping and coloring in the face using my copics, I attached them to the spools with some double sided tape and my hot glue.
Using a circle punch for the top and bottom on the spool, I punched more of the designer paper, cut the holes so I could thread my ribbon through and glued them down. Using a file, I sanded the edges and lightly inked them as well.
For the embellishing, I wrapped 3 layers of Trendy Twine Peppermint Stick twine around the bottom of the spool and tied it up so it looks like a scarf :)
Next I took some 3GJ Antique White crinkle ribbon, threaded a jingle bell though the center and then ran in up through the bottom of the spool, tying the ribbon at the top so you can hang it.
Finally using MCT Teeny Tag die and a sentiment from the new November SOTM from PKS, I added my cute saying and then attached it to ribbon with another bow of Trendy Twine.
Supplies Used:
Paper~Echo Park~Winter Park
Stamps~ Peachy Keen Stamps~ July SOTM
Peachy Keen Stamps~ November SOTM
Peachy Keen Stamps~Large Snowflakes & 1/2" Snow Faces
Dies/Cuts~My Creative Time~Tiny Tag Die
Embellishments~
So there you have it.
What do you think?? Super cute right????
3D Wooden Patriotic Flag..........{GD for 2 Creative Chicks}
Good morning Everyone!!
It's time for another Challenge over at
And I am so excited to be one of July's Guest Designer!!
Those talented ladies have another fun challenge for this month...
 they want to see anything
3D
And here is just a bit more info before I share my project....
The challenge starts today....Monday, July 1
and ends on Wednesday, July 31.
There are also some awesome sponsors....
Prize: Digi Paper Pack Winners Choice
 and
Creative Bug Digis
Prize: 5 Free Digi Files Winner's Choice
So now that you have all the important info I am super excited to share my project with you.
I LOVE making 3D projects...especially when I am not thinking about having to make one for a specific challenge....So after chatting for a few days with my friend Beckie and starting more than one project, only to toss it aside to start all over again, I had that Ah Ha moment!!
I knew I wanted to make something for the 4th of July and something that I could use to decorate my house sooooooo I remembered that my Father in Law had these wooden blocks sitting in his garage that he originally started years ago for my kids. They are since past the block playing stage so I asked if I could use a few. He were actually looking to toss them so I took them all and here is what I made with some of them....
I hope you like it :)
I started out by taking the blocks I wanted and staining them all using Tim Holtz distress ink in gathered twigs. Then using my designer paper from Authentique (paper I specifically picked up for my 4th of July projects) I cut them down to fit on my blocks. Before gluing them down, I did add more inking to the edges and then glued them in place using Tombow Mono Multi glue (LOVE that stuff!!!)
Once everything was the way I wanted I added some natural ribbon that I had in my stash, and wrapped it around the entire set of block to hold them all together. I did not attach the blocks to one another because I wanted whomever got these to be able to arrange the block however they wanted. All the sides are decorated so the possibilities to arrange them are endless.
So what do you think??? Such a fun home decor project right????
I know I had so much fun making this and have a bunch more blocks so be on the lookout for more projects :)
Thanks so much for stopping by and make sure to check out the fun challenge and other Guest Designer projects!!!
inked the edges with Gathered Twigs Distress Ink
and Mod Podged the entire thing!
Easy!
Here is is hanging by my coffee pot..
We had a Keurig..... but I died so we are waiting for our replacement and
