To my Super Dad!...{MCT Manly Monday}

Good Morning everyone and Happy Monday!
It is time for another Manly Monday post with My Creative Time and I am excited to share my project with you all.
With Father's Day quickly approaching I have a fun gift card holder to share using some of my favorite older MCT stamps and dies.
Take a look at my project and let me know what you think...
To make my fathers day gift card holder, I started with some kraft cardstock and the newer Fancy Gift Card Holder Die. Once the gc was cut I added the top layer with a piece of woodgrain cardstock that layered right on to the Fancy Gift Card Holder.
Using the Super Tag Dies "burst" I die cut it in blue and yellow cardstock and attached it to my card front.
The super "man" diecut is from the Have a Super Day set which was cut in black cardstock and red cardstock for his cape. He was popped up onto the front of the gc but after I stamped my sentiment using the same set.
For some extra details I did cut some stars in the matching cardstock, also from the Have a Super Day set and placed them around the front of the gc in a random pattern.
A perfect father's day gift, adding a gift card and a message inside for your "Super Dad"

You're my HERO! {Trendy Twine DT}

Good Morning everyone! It is my DT day over on the
Today I get to share another project using the spotlighted products of the month~

Father's Day is coming up very soon and these 3x3 Kraft Boxes make the perfect box to add a special gift for dad!

To make my project, I used designer paper from Carta Bella~Boy oh Boy and added panels to all 5 sides. Next I wrapped some Krazy for Kraft Trendy Twine 2 times around the box and added a fun matching clothes pin to hold it in place. Using a die and stamp from My Creative Time, I made a sentiment tag and clipped it into the clothes pin.

Tying off the twine with a simple bow around the clothes pin and my project is complete.
Simple yes but perfect for any occasion~ don't you think???

Here is what I used from Annie's Paper Boutique:

Happy Father's Day....{Trendy Twine DT}

Good Morning Everyone!
I am up on the Trendy Twine blog today!!!!

It's a new month which means new showcased twine and packaging!!!!

For the whole month of May, the DT will be showcasing Krazy for Kraft Trendy Twine (which is the perfect twine for ANY project) along with the fun 3x3 Kraft Boxes!

In addition to sharing projects using these products we all will be sharing Father's Day ideas. Giving you all some FAB gift idea's for the men in your lives!

For my project today, I decorated the 3x3 Kraft Box and made a little coupon book to fit inside and add to some other treats for my kiddo's to give their dad :)

I kept the box decorated simply~ using some designer paper from Pink Paisley, sentiment stamp from My Creative Time and the adorable tie die cut, also from My Creative Time. I added a simple Krazy for Kraft bow to the tie and popped it up on the front of my box.

For the coupon book, I pulled out my neglected Bind-it All :) and some more stamps and dies from My Creative Time to make these fun tickets. After stamping and putting together all the tickets, I binded them together and added lots of Krazy for Kraft fringe pieces. It definitely adds lots of fun to this adorable coupon book~ don't you think???

Happy Father's Day....MCT Challenge

Good morning everyone and welcome to another
My Creative Time Designer Challenge!
 With Father’s Day this month, today’s challenge is to make a MASCULINE THEMED card. Anything “guyish” – manly color palette, favorite sport, dad’s favorite chair, etc

I actually have 2 cards to share...I made one and wasn't to fond of it so I made another one. I wont tell you which one they were but I do want to share them both.
For this card I wanted to make something simple highlighting some of the new products that Miss Emma just released. So I used designer paper from Echo Park and the new Bunch of Fun Circle Dies (I think my new favorite die set..LOL!) Then adding the "DAD" using the Lowercase Fun Dies to the center of the randomly placed circle dies. For the sentiment, I used the new stamp set, Lost At Sea and stamped it into the Vintage Stitched Label Die. To finish off my card, I added some Totally Natural Trendy Twine and some fun mini enamel dots.

Now onto my next card...
Baseball is HUGE in my family. My husband is the head coach for 2 baseball teams~ the boys house teams and then is the assistant coach for my youngest son's 10U travel team. We spend every weekend, all day on the field and I wouldn't have it any other way :)
So in honor of my hubs, I  made this card for the boys to give to him on Father's Day.
For my card, I started by using one of the Fun Stitched Edges Die and cut my stitch line. Then using the smallest Stitched Chevy Die, I die cut 5 using red cardstock. I placed then along the stitched line with the hopes of making it look like a baseball :)
Finally I stamped my sentiment using 3 different stamps from the Sports Sentiment Stamp Set.

So there is my Designer Challenge inspiration. I hope you like my cards.
Make sure to head on over to the My Creative Time blog for more inspiration from the rest of the DT and for all the details on linking up your project!
Thanks so much for stopping by and have a GREAT day!

Happy Father's Day Card

Hi bloggers!
I hope everyone is having a fabulous weekend. We are but it has been super busy!
Yesterday my baby turned 8 and I had a surprise party for him :)
I invited 5 of his BFF's over for some hang-out time and let me tell you not only was my son surprised, but the boys had a blast!
No one knew about the party until yesterday afternoon when all the kids came home. I wanted no slip ups by any of the boys so not only were they excited to come and surprise Parker, the night was perfect for a bonfire and lots of smores!
My son got all new baseball gear and I had everyone bring their mitts so there was alot of baseball and bear hunting....yes it was lots of fun I guess running through our woods hunting for bears. The imagination of boys!!

Today we played 2 ball games. My son's team is pretty good but the beginning of the season got off to a rocky start. We were rained out a bunch of times so we started out not playing too well. Today they won both of their games and like I posted the other day regarding my son's triple play, another team member hit a grand slam. Crazy exciting!!

Anyways my card today is a quick father's day card made for a friend's husband. He is a HUGE train buff so I knew this would be perfect.
The card is A2 sized and I used paper from Joannes
The train is from the My World Cartridge.
I wanted to keep this simple so I only used the shadow and 1st layer and inked the lines instead of layering.
The inside says "Happy Father's Day"
I like how the train fits right under the saying on the paper. Guess it couldn't have worked out better :)

Well that is all I have for tonight. Off to bed and then back to the field tomorrow for another game.
See you all tomorrow
