Happy 4th of July!...{MCT Made in Minutes}

Good Morning everyone!
It is my day to post on the MCT blog for
Made in Minutes
and with the 4th of July right around the corner I have a quick and easy treat to share using MCT stamps and dies.
Take a look at my project and let me know what you think...
To make my project I used the Stitched Mini Bag Die and some fun star designer paper from my stash.
Once assembled and filled with some treats, I added the sentiment, from the Teeny Tag Holidays set onto the newly released Little Gift Tag Dies.
Tied onto the Stitched Mini Bag with a red ribbon, my project was complete!
A super easy treat idea that took no time to make and put together! Truly a made in minutes project that would be perfect for any occasion!

Happy 4th....{MCT 3D Wednesday}

Good Morning everyone and
Happy 4th of July!
Today is MCT's 3D Wednesday and to celebrate I made some red white and blue lollipop holders!
Take a look at my festive holiday treats and let me know what you think...
I love the Mini Stitched Lollipop & Scallop Die! This die can be used for so many different holidays and decorated for an endless amount of party themes.
For my project I used some DoodleBug Design paper in a festive star pattern and die cut the lollipop holder.
I grabbed some matching cardstock in red, white and blue and die cut the scallop shape in the red cardstock. I layered each scallop with a white circle die cut from the More Stitched Circle Dies set.
Keeping in theme of the stars, I used the Mini Lolly Add On set and blue cardstock which got layered onto the scallop.
Finally before assembling the lollipop holders, I stamped my sentiment using the set~ My Little Firecracker.
Once the lollipop holder was assembled, I added an Original Gourmet Lollipop and tied the holder closed with some Trendy Twine.

To My Little Firecracker....{MCT Made in Minutes}

Good Morning everyone and welcome to
Made in Minutes
with
If you are new to my blog MIM is where we create something that could be created quickly or mass produced.
I love the new Pretty Treat Topper and since the 4th of July is just around the corner, I thought I would share a quick and easy celebration gift. **Remember if you are making something similar using Sparklers to be CAREFUL! Children should be supervised if playing with these**

Here is a closeup of the topper.
I used white cardstock as the base and added a layer of blue star designer paper.
The stars are from the 3 Star Stitched Dies set and I die cut those out onto red cardstock.
The sentiment, from the set~ My Little Firecracker, was stamped onto a Stitched Zig Zag Die.
Some random pearls completed my party favor.

Happy 4th....{MCT To Die For}

Good morning everyone!
I am sharing a card today for
My Creative Time's
"Too Die For Tuesday"
This is where we share ideas on how to stretch your dies.
With the 4th of July right around the corner I made a mini shaker using last releases  set~ PinWheel Centers
Take a look and let me know what you think....
Shakers are so much fun to make and add such a different element to cards. They don't even have to be a large shaker piece, like the one I added to my card to add a fun twist to a card.
To make my card, I used the largest star die from the Pinwheel Centers set and die cut it into a Ribbon End Banner.
Since I wanted that banner piece to be larger than the rest, I stretched my die to extend the banner piece.  My star was die cut into the banner and then filled with red and white seed beads.
The red and white banner pieces were cut using the same banner set, making them the sizes smaller and then arranged onto my card mat.
The whole card mat, made from a piece of white cardstock and layered with a piece of designer cardstock die cut using the Stitched Rectangular Frame Dies & More set was then popped up onto my A2 card base.
The sentiment, from My Little Firecracker was stamped onto the front of my card and some hemp cord was added with a bow for the finishing touch.

What do you think of my card? I hope I gave you another idea on how to use those awesome MCT dies!!!

To My Little Firecracker.......{MCT Anything Goes}

Good Morning everyone!
I am sharing a card today for My Creative Time's
Anything Goes Thursday!
Since the 4th of July is just around the corner, I made a cute celebration card using the newly released set~ Scalloped Stitched Circle
For my card I used designer paper from Doodlebug Designs~Patriotic Parade and even pulled out my prismacolor pencils!
To make this card I started with an A2 size card base, added a layer of white cardstock and then die cut the designer paper using the Stitched Rectangular Frame Die.
Next I die cut the circle and then the matching scalloped circle using the new set~ Scalloped Stitched Circles. The circle die cut was through the designer paper, the scalloped circle was with some matching navy cardstock from my stash.
The sentiment, from the set~ My Little Firecracker was stamped inside the circle and then the matching firecracker was stamped and colored using my prismacolor pencils.
Some added star die cuts from the 3 Star Stitched Dies were added for some extra details.
So there is my completed card....what do you think???

Happy 4th of July!

Good Morning Everyone!
It is my day to share a project on the Trendy Twine Blog!

The 4th of July is right around the corner and I have a fun project to share using the Large Kraft Pillow Boxes and my all time favorite Trendy Twine~the Stars and Stripes!

To make my project, I started with the Large Kraft Pillow Box and wrapped some DoodleBug Designs~Patriotic Parade paper around the center of the box. Next using 2 different sized Stitched Stars from My Creative Time, I die cut them out using matching paper. For the center of the star, I wrapped several back and forth rows of the Stars and Stripes Trendy Twine and then added another star to the back side of my embellishment to hold everything in place. It was then popped up onto the front of my pillow box using some foam pop dots.

Finally for the sentiment, I grabbed a toothpick and made a flag. I took the Teeny Tag Die from My Creative Time, stamped my sentiment using the Teeny Tag Holidays stamp set, wrapped some more Stars and Stripes Trendy Twine around the toothpick and tied it all together with a simple bow.

Here is what I used from Annie's Paper Boutique:

Scrapping the Little Things.....w/MCT

Good Morning everyone!!
Welcome to "Scrapping the Little Things" with My Creative Time
where we share Project Life, Smash book or Scrapbook LO's using MCT stamps and dies!
*************************
For today's "Scrapping the Little Things", the DT was given this inspiration photo to base our projects on
and since this past weekend was the 4th of July and we always spend it at my in~laws cottage on Lake Chautauqua, I thought it would be a perfect opportunity to scrap one of my FAVORITE pictures I took of my oldest son Casey tubing. I think he would spend all day riding around if we gave him the chance...LOL!

So here is my smash page.....
I used TONS of MCT products for my page and I always forget how rewarding it is to complete a page. I really need to make time to create more pages to fill up my book. I know I have the best intention when I snap these pictures :)
I ended up using the colors from the photo and the water from the picture as my inspiration for this page. I had a bunch of pictures I took with my FIL and hubs took him out and LOVE how the photobooth die let me add a few of them while still having my page focus on that great picture of Casey. I added just a few extra elements to this page, the machine stitching to the banner pieces and some random sequins but let all the awesome MCT stamps and dies do the story telling :)

Happy Fourth of July!....{MCT Sneak Day 1}

Good Morning and
Welcome to Day 1 of sneaks for the new
My Creative Time 33rd  Release!
This is such an AWESOME release and I know you will all LOVE it to pieces so....
today the DT is showcasing projects using the
Happy Thoughts & You are Fabulous
stamp and die sets.

For my card, I use the current sketch from our Designers Challenge, mixed with some of the colors from the photo inspiration
(you can see all the details on this challenge and enter your project HERE)

to come up with this card......
Here is how I made my card...I started with an A2 card base and added a layer of designer paper. Then I moved onto setting up my sentiment. I used the new "happy" die from the Happy Thoughts set and die cut it into my white card stock. Removing the word and setting it aside for another project. Then using the same die, I did it again with some red card stock taking the word and inserting it into my cut out white piece. Using the "fourth of july" sentiment from the same set, I stamped it under the "happy".
Next I die cut some stars in different shapes using the 3 Star Stitched Dies in red, white and blue. To add some texture to the stars, I stamped each one using the new pattern stamps from the You Are Fabulous stamp set.
After adding all of my layers and popping up some of the stars, I placed some random sequins onto the star die cuts.
And there you have my card :)
Such a fun and festive card, don't you think??

Wednesday Inspiration w/ My Creative Time

Good Morning and Happy Hump day everyone!
I know it has been kinda quiet over here on my blog...my kiddo's are winding down their school year and there is so much going on that my computer time and crafting time has been few and far between...BUT one more week and it is SUMMER VACATION!!!!!

So with that being said it is time for Wednesday Inspiration
where the DT makes a project of our choice based on an inspiration subject.

For my project, I used a card I found on Pinterest HERE as my inspiration.
I love the CAS design of it and knew that I could make it my own using some of Miss Emma's awesome My Creative Time stamps and dies!

So here is my take on the picture.... An easy 4th of July card
I followed the design of the card but instead of stamping square background like in my inspiration card, I used the center square die cut from the 4x4 Journal Die + More set
Next I layered a big stitched star followed by a stitched button star embellished with some Trendy Twine.
I know the inspiration photo does not have additional embellishing, but I couldn't pass up adding some sequins to my card. Reminds me of fireworks :)

Happy Birthday America.......{Challenge Card}

Good Morning!!!
I wanted to pop in with a card that I made to enter a bunch of challenges! With the 4th of July just days away there are tons of awesome Red/White and Blue challenges going on that I so want to play along with!
So using the new Mojo Monday Sketch
The Colors from the inspiration photo over at The Pink Elephant and playing along with my friend Stacey who is celebrating her birthday with a fun linky party..
Photo Inspiration #17
I came up with this....Hope you like it!!!!!
I started with a Kraft cardstock base and added my layers of designer papers, following the sketch,  using Little Yellow Bicycle~Vintage Summer papers. I did add machine stitching to my mats (well all except for the circle...can not sew in a circle for the life of me) just for a more finished look...plus you know me...I love my sewing machine....LOL!
Then using the adorable Lollipop Firecracker Finn from By Lori Designs I colored him using my copic markers and added some yellow stickles to his firecracker and diamond stickles to his shirt. I ended up die cutting a star using my Cameo and adding a star button and some Totally White Trendy Twine as my extra embellishment.
Finally for the sentiment I used a stamp set that has been sitting in my stash forever...
My Pink Stamper~Yankee Doodles.  I just recently found it while cleaning out my crafty space....bonus!!!

Well there you have it!! I hope you have enjoyed my card!
Thanks so much for stopping by and have a GREAT Tuesday!!!

3D Wooden Patriotic Flag..........{GD for 2 Creative Chicks}

Good morning Everyone!!
It's time for another Challenge over at

And I am so excited to be one of July's Guest Designer!!
Those talented ladies have another fun challenge for this month...
 they want to see anything
3D
And here is just a bit more info before I share my project....
The challenge starts today....Monday, July 1
and ends on Wednesday, July 31.
There are also some awesome sponsors....
Prize: Digi Paper Pack Winners Choice

 and
Creative Bug Digis
Prize: 5 Free Digi Files Winner's Choice

So now that you have all the important info I am super excited to share my project with you.

I LOVE making 3D projects...especially when I am not thinking about having to make one for a specific challenge....So after chatting for a few days with my friend Beckie and starting more than one project, only to toss it aside to start all over again, I had that Ah Ha moment!!
I knew I wanted to make something for the 4th of July and something that I could use to decorate my house sooooooo I remembered that my Father in Law had these wooden blocks sitting in his garage that he originally started years ago for my kids. They are since past the block playing stage so I asked if I could use a few. He were actually looking to toss them so I took them all and here is what I made with some of them....
I hope you like it :)
I started out by taking the blocks I wanted and staining them all using Tim Holtz distress ink in gathered twigs. Then using my designer paper from Authentique (paper I specifically picked up for my 4th of July projects) I cut them down to fit on my blocks. Before gluing them down, I did add more inking to the edges and then glued them in place using Tombow Mono Multi glue (LOVE that stuff!!!)
Once everything was the way I wanted I added some natural ribbon that I had in my stash, and wrapped it around the entire set of block to hold them all together. I did not attach the blocks to one another because I wanted whomever got these to be able to arrange the block however they wanted. All the sides are decorated so the possibilities to arrange them are endless.
So what do you think??? Such a fun home decor project right????
I know I had so much fun making this and have a bunch more blocks so be on the lookout for more projects :)
Thanks so much for stopping by and make sure to check out the fun challenge and other Guest Designer projects!!!
