Good Morning and
Welcome to Day 3 of sneaks for the new
My Creative Time 33rd Release!
It is time for another awesome day of projects from the DT showcasing 3 new sets
Stitched Honeycomb Dies, Bee Happy and Stitched Bees & Beehive Dies
When I first saw these sets, this card came to mind right away....I am very happy that my idea was able to turn out pretty much just as I pictured it...so here is to hoping you like it as well :)
Aren't those bees adorable??? I just LOVE that Emma has the dies and the matching stamps for these cuties!
For my card I wanted to make a window using the new Stitched Honeycomb Die so in order to do that I layered my card base with the designer paper on top and die cut though both layers. Next I removed the designer paper (I used a low tack adhesive to hold it in place while I die cut) and added a sheet of acetate, sandwiching it between the card base and the designer paper. Next I added the additional pieces to the honeycomb die using the inside of the die cut from the original cut and then cutting another piece out of black card stock for the frame.
After all the pieces were attached to my card base, I stamped my sentiment, die cut some small red hearts and randomly placed them onto my card, placing it aside to work on the bees.
I am not sure how much you can tell from the picture, but I did decorate the inside of my card, using the hexagons that were die cut from the honeycomb. I added a few to the bottom left hand corner just so the inside was not left to plain :)
