For my project I made some Coffee Body Scrub....it smells SO good and made my hands smooth as can be...LOL! Here is my project, I hope you like it!
I spent a lot of time searching the internet looking for a good coffee scrub recipe. I found quite a few and tried out one of them. For some reason, mine did not turn out the way the picture in the recipe looked (it was WAY to liquidy) so it was back to the drawing board for another one. Then after searching some more, I decided to make my own using all the ingredients that were in these other recipes...just making it to the consistence I wanted.
Here is what it consists of:
Sugar, fresh coffee grounds and coconut oil
I mixed the sugar and coffee first and then added the coconut oil, mixing it all together until I got it just the way I wanted it.
Once I was happy with how it turned out, I put my mixture into a small mason jar and went to embellish it with some new Trendy Twine goodies.... First using those AWESOME new Wooden Spoons. They are perfect by themselves OR you can do what I did and stamp a sentiment onto the handle. Here I used the My Creative Time~Fun Gift Pocket Sentiments and some Versafine Onyx Black Ink
Then for my tag I used the My Creative Time~ Just Tags die and stamped the adorable coffee cup from the September SOTM set from Peachy Keen Stamps. I colored in the coffee and added some light highlighting to the cup using my copic markers and then stamped the sweet face using the Sweet & Innocent Face Assortment from Peachy Keen Stamps as well. Alittle chalk, copic and white gel pen doodles and this was one CUTE coffee cup! To finish my project up, I tied some of the new (and totally AWESOME) Cherry Latte Trendy Twine around the lid of my jar, placing the wooden spoon behind my tag.

Like you, I've made body scrubs before and on a few occasions had issues with the consistency of it. But I just tweaked the recipe a bit as you did and everything worked out fine.
Super job here and I love how the Cherry Latte coordinates with your awesome coloring. :)
