Love Bugs Banner for Kids Hop

Welcome to the “Love Bugs Banners for Kids” Hop Day 2

Several talented crafty people have come together for a two day hop (Friday, January 6th and Saturday, January 7th) to showcase handmade banners that will be donated to the children at Pediatric Specialty Care. The hope of these banners is that they bring smiles to these children's faces and awareness of Pediatric Specialty Care to all those that hop along.

The “Love Bugs Banner for Kids” Hop has some awesome sponsors and prizes to give away to all those that hop along and leave comments. The more blogs you visit and leave comments at, the more chances you have of winning.

K Andrews Designs has donated a stamp set to one winner.
Robyn's Fetish will donate FIVE digital images of the winner's choice as a prize!

SO~~
If you are coming from Lisa's blog you are on the right path
If you want to start from the beginning head over to Ellen's Blog..
there are tons of adorable banners that are all being sent to brighten up a child's room and you will not want to miss any of them..
Plus there might be some blog candy along the way :)

Here is  my banner....

All of my adorable bugs are cut using files from My Scrap Chick~Blissful Bugs
All of my pieces were cut using SCAL sized to fit on coaster I picked up a long while back at my local scrap booking store.
Some additional supplies used include
Tim Holtz Distress ink in Fire Brick
Olive Green pigment ink
Peachy Keen Stamps~ Princess Faces
Chalk for the cheeks
White gel pen
Holly Berry Crinkle ribbon from 3 Girl Jam

Here are close~ups of each piece
The DP is all from my stash and I will reference the name if I can remember LOL!
This red polka dot paper is from Glitz Designs~ Love Nest Polka
The heart is cut from George and Basic Shapes
and the "L" is from the same
Not sure if you can tell but the coasters are all embossed with hearts using a Fiskars embossing plate
I also embossed the leaf~cut from Create a Critter using Divine Swirls

This Green Polka dot paper is from 25 Days of Christmas~Peace Love Joy

This Black and White Polka Dot paper is one of my favorites
My Minds Eye~Blackbird
Love this paper!!

And finally this polka dot paper is a download I won over at Get Funky
I printed it out on cream card stock

I really hope this brightens up a little kiddo's room!
I had so much fun designing it :)

Now onto to some Blog Candy!!!
I am such a HUGE fan of Julie's Crinkle ribbon over at 3 Girl Jam that I wanted to give one lucky commenter a pack of the
Holly Berry that I used with this banner.
It also comes with some Mistletoe Ribbon
Yes I know Christmas is over but the Holly Berry is PERFECT for Valentines Day
and the green Mistletoe....a GREAT springtime color!
Winter Bundle
All you have to do to be eligible for my candy is leave me a comment with a way to get in touch with you if you are the lucky winner!
I would love for you to be a follower but it is not required :)
I will draw a winner on Wed Jan 11th

Now hop along to the other Jessica's Blog
and see what awesome project she has to share with you!
