Hi everyone!!

I was asked to do my youngest son's Christmas party on Friday and I need a game to play with a group of 3rd grades....open to suggestions...PLEASE
and
I was asked to come into my other son's 5th grade class to make Christmas cards
So
the next week is going to be busy busy busy....plus I have a PTO meeting tomorrow night and I was set to bring in 7 birthday cards.....I have not thought of making a birthday card since last month!
I have been so busy trying to get my Christmas cards done and in the mail (which the last are going out tomorrow) that I totally forgot to make some birthday cards...
I ended up making one and liking the way it turned out that I made 6 more all the same....
Here they are....
I used PTI card stock and My Creative Time Build a Banner die.
The stamp is from Stampendous~Typewriter Alphabet.

ReplyDeleteHello Jessica!
ReplyDeleteI know you are super busy but I was catching up with some of my blog buddies before the holiday arrives & was so glad to arrive here. Your b'day cards are fantastic. I love those banners & colors. You really did a great especially considering that you are so busy.
I did think of a game you could play with the 3rd graders. We adapt it for different holiday & b'day parties. In this case, you want to have a few teams depending on how many kids there are. The game is Basket Toss. Each team picks a bucket or basket holder. You tie a holiday basket around the waist of the holder. That person cannot use their hands. They have to move around in a designated area to try & catch as many pieces of holiday candy as they can until the candy runs out or the timer runs out. You decide if you want to play with a timer or until candy runs out. Each team member has to throw in as many candies in the basket as possible. There should be a line they cannot cross. Candies could be the peppermint rounds that come individually wrapped or just something small. The team with the most candies in their basket wins. My daughter & her friends love this game & played it for a Halloween party we had for them. They are 7th graders.
Sorry for the long post, just wanted to get my fame idea in there for you.
Dollar store was my source for the baskets & candy. I have reused the baskets too.
Hope your holiday is wonderful.
Merry Christmas & Happy New Year!
Thank you so much for your blog support.
Look forward to seeing more.
Big hugs,
Sonia
