Welcome to our first day of April Sneak Peeks at Peachy Keen Stamps!

This month we've got a little bit of retro fun to share with you as we bring back the spirit of the 50′s with the adorable images Kathy has created!   This collection has so many wonderful images that will bring  memories of great times past,  so make plans to join us each evening this week as we take you on a stroll down memory lane.

This evening,  we begin the fun with the new Stamp of the Month stamp set PKSC-28 April 2014.   Pink flamingos, neon signs for the diner window, and fabulous faces and phrases to go with them!  There is more fun than you can imagine with this set! Be sure to stop by the Peachy Keen Stamps Blog to see all of the wonderful projects our talented team has created to share!

For my first project I wanted to use the super ADORABLE new flamingo's and I made a fun Shaker Card..... Hope you like it!!!

I designed my card using the Silhouette Designer Studio so I knew exactly how my card would turn out....it also helps with lining up all the layers :)
I paper pieced those adorable flamingo's using designer paper from MME~Blush paper pack. I did add some copic coloring to their legs and some white gel pen to their eyes.
Once they were done, I went about putting my shaker card together. The sequins are from Paper Issues~the pink ombre set and are so pretty!!!
Those super cute sentiments???? They are from the new April SOTMK as well!!! They were stamped onto the banner dies from My Creative Time.
Such a fun card with those adorable flamingo's~ don't you think???

It's The Plane Truth.....{Seize The Sketch #17} {Post #2}

Good Morning Everyone!
~if you are looking for my Peachy Keen Stamps Sketch challenge card please click HERE~

It is time for another Seize The Sketch Challenge.
Here is the new challenge sketch.....
Hosted this week by the very talented Jen
And here is the card I made based on the sketch!
I really like the CAS design of this card...and even better that it went together in a matter of minutes. It took me the longest to add my machine stitching to the papers...LOL!
Anyways, for my card I used designer papers from My Mind's Eye~Come Away with Me paper pack~ a newbie I picked up at Michael's not to long ago.
For the stitched square piece, I used the die from My Creative Time~4x4 Journal Dies + More and stamped the flight heart and sentiment using the Plane & Simple and Fun Paper Airplane Die. I die cut 2 paper airplanes and stacked one on top of another to give the piece some more dimension.
I finished my card off with a simple sewing machine stitched border and a stitched line through the pattern paper, just to add some more to the center of my card.

So what do you think???
I hope you like my card and will play along with the new challenge!
Make sure to head on over to the Seize The Sketch blog to see what the other DT members created with this sketch and for all the details on how you can play along.

Thanks so much for stopping by and have a GREAT day!!

What's Kickin' Chicken?......{PKS Sketch Challenge 14-05}{Post #1}

Morning  everyone! Can you believe it is April already?
OMG I can not get over how FAST the months are flying by!!
Which brings us to another Peachy Keen Stamps Sketch challenge!
Remember these challenges run for about 2 weeks so there is plenty of time to play along with us!!
Here is the new sketch...

And here is my take on it!
I just can not get enough of the chicken's from last months release! Kathy really knows how to WOW us all with her adorable stamps! So again I used the Faceless Chickens and the Chickie Faces for this cutie. I added my own touches but running my mats through my sewing machine. I always think it adds more to my card. I also used the new Chicken Wire background stamp and stamped it on top of my designer paper using matching ink from Tim Holtz.
Turned out pretty cute if I say so myself :)
Supplies Used:
Paper~ Kraft, White, MME~Sunshine
Stamps~ Peachy Keen Stamps
Dies~ My Creative Time
Embellishments~ copic markers, white gel pen, pop dots, sewing machine

I hope you have enjoyed my card and take on the sketch. I would LOVE to see you play along with the new challenge!!

To My Bunny!......{Made in Minutes w/MCT}

Good Morning and welcome to
My Creative Time's~ Made In Minutes!
Where the MCT DT will be sharing quick and easy projects using MCT stamps and dies that you can recreate in no time.

For today's project I thought I would whip up a few Easter treats.....
I found these cute carrot cut files in the Silhouette store and cut them out using orange card stock. They were very plain jane so to dressed them up a bit by stamping each carrot with 2 of the chevy stamps from MCT Build a Chevy. One in Wild Honey and the other in Gathered Twigs. After filling these treats with some goodies, I closed them up with some May Arts Ribbon and added my oh so cute bunny tag.
For my tag I used one of the banners dies from the Build a Banner set and just flipped it upside down to add my hole to the top. I stamped the tag then with a sentiment from the Teeny Tag Holidays and again with the cute bunny silhouette from the Hello Spring stamp set. Some stickles to his tail and a fun pear pin to hold the tag onto my carrot and my treats were completed!

And all under 15 minutes per treat!

Supplies Used:
Paper~ Bazzill Orange, White
Stamps~ My Creative Time~
Inks~ Versafine Onxy Black
Tim Holtz~ Wild Honey, Gathered Twigs
Dies/Cuts~ My Creative Time~
Carrot box~Silhouette Store
Embellishments~ May Arts Ribbon, Stickles
Sparkly Sweet Craft Notions~Pear Pin

So what do you think of my treats???

Try Me Tuesday.....{MCT}

Good Morning and Welcome to
Try Me Tuesday w/My Creative Time!
For this "Try Me Tuesday", the DT is going to make our card base using a die. When doing this technique, start by taking a piece of card stock folded in half and placing the die so that the folded edge of the card stock is just inside the cutting line of the die.
Easy enough, right?
The best dies for this application are large shapes, so using Emma’s dies you could easily do this with the large tags, XL label die, or any of the journaling dies.
Here is the card I made using the 3x4 Stitched Journal Die. I have used this technique before (you can see my card HERE) and love the size of this card.
Perfect for adding a gift card inside which is exactly what I did! Plus they can be made for any occasion!
Look at how great the Tag  Gift Pocket Die looking inside the card.
Supplies Used:
Paper~My Minds Eye~Cowboy, white card stock
Stamps~ Coffee Break
Dies~Layering Coffee Die (Coffee Break)
Embellishments~ enamel dots, foam pop dots, white gel pen

Well that it all I have to share :)
Make sure you head on over to My Creative Time to see what the rest of the Design Team has created.
Thanks for stopping by and have a GREAT Tuesday!

Peachy Keen Stamps Mid-Month Release Blog Hop!

Good morning
and
Welcome to our March Mid-Month Release Blog Hop at Peachy Keen Stamps!
We have some super cute projects to share with you that feature additional stamps being released TODAY that go perfectly with our  Faceless Chickens and Chickie Faces that were released earlier this month.  The response to these has been outstanding, so you know this just HAD to happen!

You should have arrived here from
Jessica's Blog
if you’re hopping along in the set order,
but if you just happened upon this post then you can go back to the beginning at
and start from there so you don’t miss one wonderful project.

Grab your favorite beverage and relax with us for a few minutes as you take in the talents of our team, and be sure to leave comments along the way for a chance to win all four sets in this release!  That’s right!!  One lucky person who hops and comments with us today will win all four of these sweet stamp sets!

I am super excited to share my project with you today! I just LOVE this mid month release and being a HUGE chicken lover.....these are so up my alley!
I have been sitting on this painter tray for a long time....I am thinking over 2 years and have yet to find the perfect use for it...well I finally did and I am over the moon in LOVE with this! I hope you like my project too :)
Here it is! I will walk you though the different sections of my project and show you close-ups of each of them. You can always click on the pictures too to bring them up bigger.
I used a TON of Peachy Keen Stamps for this and have them all linked at the bottom of my post. All 4 of the new release stamps plus 2 of the stamps released at the beginning of the month are mixed into this project. Are these chicks not the cutest! I just love that little one with her glasses on...LOL! The Hen House block shows the new Harringbone background stamp and can you see the new Chicken Wire Stamp? It is next to that adorable chickie with her glasses.
We have a running joke in our house~ you know the one stamped here~ "Why did the chicken cross the road"? Well the answer according to my kids is because "He was stuck to the duck"...LOL! Don't ask me where that came from  but it must be said here on average of 5 time a month :)
We are hoping to get some spring chicks within the next few months. There is nothing cuter than little fluff balls cheeping :) Then they get bigger....give up yummy eggs and follow us around the yard. They will join the 4 big girls we currently have now.
Another funny story...my hubs is always saying to me when I am on the phone with my friends~ chuck cluck cluck.... yeah you know how it is chatting away with the BFF. So I just had to add that CUTE sentiment with the adorable chick from the March SOTMK.
