Happy Birthday...{Manly Monday}

Good morning everyone!
It is my day to share on the MCT blog with todays Manly Monday post!
Making manly projects is always hard  but I have a fun and cute gift card idea to share that surely fits the bill.
Take a look and let me know what you think....
My son celebrated his 20th birthday this past weekend and I wanted to make something to hold an "extra" birthday present in.
The Gift Card Tag Dies are awesome for adding money or a gift card and attaching it to a gift which is exactly what I did.
I used some pretty plaid designer paper from my stash and added the birthday sentiment using the Gift Card Greetings set.
To add alittle extra detail, I die cut some stars in matching cardstock and the Star Rosette Die set to pop up onto the front of the gift card.
Some black twine and of course filled with some cash and this was ready for my birthday boy!

MCT 91st New Release Sneak Day 2

Good Morning everyone and welcome to Day 2 of sneaks for the
91st New Release from My Creative Time!
We have another sweet set to showcase today,
introducing the
Cake Lollipop Holder + Add Ons!
Take a look at my inspiration and let me know what you think...
Another sweet lollipop holder die that holds the yummy Original Gourmet Lollipops!
To make my treat, I used a kraft cardstock base for the lollipop holder and then added a white top for my cake pieces. The yummy frosting was die cut using Pink Paislee~ Birthday Bash designer paper. The top layer of frosting is the perfect size to fit my sentiment from the Mini Spring Greetings set (I just realized I used the same sentiment yesterday BUT it did come from a different stamp set)
I filled my holder with a lollipop and then tied it all together with a pink twine bow.
A GREAT new die set for all those party celebrations!

Wish Big......{MCT Tag it Tuesday}

Good Morning and welcome to another
Tag it Tuesday w/My Creative Time!
It's my son's 12th birthday tomorrow so I made a sweet treat and added a fun birthday tag to wrap it all up with.
The Just Tags die is a perfect size to add to candy sticks and pretzel bags. I used the newly released Light The Candles stamp and die set for the cupcake and added the layers using designer paper from My Minds Eye~Quilting Bee paper pad. The sentiment, from the WOW So Many Candles stamp set was added right before the cupcake was popped up onto the tag.
Finally I added some Totally Sky Trendy Twine to my pretzel dipped Biggie Candy Bags. Sweet treat complete and ready for the birthday boy!

Well that it all I have to share :)

MCT Trending Now.....{Party On!}

Good Morning Everyone!!!
Today I get to share another My Creative Time project with you all!
It is Trending Now....Party On!
The MCT DT will be showcasing party projects~anything using banners, pom poms...etc
My son is turning 12 in a few weeks so I thought I would use the AWESOME newly released gift bag die to make a project. Of course when it comes time to give this to him, it will be filled with some yummy treats and probably a gift card or two :)
To make this, I used the beautiful designer paper from Lawn Fawn and die cut the gift bag die. Next I added the super fun banner die cut and added it to the front of the gift bag. Since he is turning 12, I used the number dies from the Stitched 4x6 Journal Die set and finished the bag off with a simple tag. For that tag, I used the newly released Chalkboard Birthday stamp set and stamped it onto the Fun Stitched Tag Die. Tied it all onto the ribbon handle with some Totally White Trendy Twine and this gift bag is all ready to be filled for the birthday boy!

Lawn Fawn~ High Seas designer paper

Then popping it up onto the front of the gift bag I added 2 matching designer paper stars.

For my mini card, I used the 3x3 Fancy Tri-Fold Die and stamped another of the new release sentiments onto the front. I ended up paper piecing the candles to match the gift bag and added some Wink of Stella and Glossy Accents to the candles. MCT 43rd New Release Sneak Day 2

Good Morning and welcome to Day 2 of sneaks for the new
My Creative Time 43rd New Release!
What did you think of yesterday's sneaks?? Pretty AWESOME right? Well today the DT has ton's more to share!!!!

Today we  will be showcasing projects using the new set~
Light The Candles
And here is the projects I made using this set! I am LOVING all the fun party themed sentiment and dies in this set and thought I would make a cute gift card holder and treat!

To start off, I will show you a close-up of the treat using the Treat Slider Box Die. I stamped the cutie sentiment onto the slider box and die cut 2 of the cherries that come with this new release. To add some extra detail to them, I used my glossy accents to make them shiny. I wanted to add some leaves to the tops of the cherries so I used the Stitched Pretty Flowers & Leaves Dies. Next I wrapped some chocolate nuggets and stamped the XOXO that is part of the Light The Candles set.

Here is a close-up of the gift card holder I made. If you do not own this die yet the ~Embossed Gift Card Holder Die~ you have to grab it from the store!!!!! I LOVE using this for those last minute gifts.
Anyways I used the technique that Jennifer McGuire shared not to long ago called Spotlight  Die Cutting, you can see her video HERE
After stamping, die cutting and stamping again, I popped up the candles onto the sentiment using some foam dots. For some extra sparkle on the flames, I used my Wink of Stella pen and then added some glossy accents on top.
I finished this gift card off with some hemp twine and a few random die cut hearts. Couldn't help but pop those cuties up too with some glossy accents :)

My Creative Time Products Used:
Light The Candles (new release)
Stitched Pretty Flowers & Leaves Dies
Additional Products Used:
Lawn Fawn Designer paper
hemp twine
glossy accents

Cupcake Thanks Candy Sticks...{Challenge Project}

Good Morning everyone!
I am popping in with a non DT related project, but with an entry for a few challenges!
It has been a while since I played along with any so I thought I would share an order I just completed that happened to fit into a few I love to play along with.
A friend of mine contacted me looking for some birthday party favors. She wanted some candy sticks, purple~her daughters favorite color~ a birthday theme with a thank you message so these are what I created.
Hope you like them!
Candy sticks are so fun to make! Decorating the tags to fit the theme, have just endless possibilities. For my tags, I used some freebie images I got from Paper Smooches (links down below) and I designed them to fit inside my circle and scallop die cut~ all using my Silhouette Designer Studio.
Once I had the design in place, I printed and cut the shapes, assembled the tag and then added diamond stickles to the frosting and cotton candy stickles to the cherries.
Once they were all dry, I attached them to my skinny candy bags (already filled with white and purple candy jewels) with some Grape Fizz Trendy Twine.

Supplies Used:
Purple, white cardstock
diamond stickles
cotton candy stickles

And there are my treats. I am sure hoping my friend and the birthday girl love these!!!
That is all I have to share for today. Thanks so much for stopping by and have a GREAT day!!

Happy Tuesday everyone!
Today is Janice's birthday (Trendy Twine Lesley's Mom) and the DT and some of the Trendy Twiners created some BEAUTIFUL tags to help her celebrate her special day.
I LOVE making tags and was very excited to be a part of wishing Janice a VERY Happy Birthday!

To finish my tag, I added some Christmas Candy 3GJ crinkle ribbon and a sparkly button.

Happy Birthday Old Bird....and ...I WON!

I'm sorry for this quick post but I have been so busy. I have a sick kiddo home so between doctors appoinments and running errands today I have had little time for crafting. Plus I am planning my project for the upcoming Red Hatter's Blog Hop that I'm participating in this weekend.

Here is my card for today. Something simple.

As I was blog hopping today I found out I won over at Pretty Little Paper Love for the TPV blog hop. How much fun is that! Can't wait to get my prize :) A 7gypsies Printer Tray!!
What should I do with it?

My post tomorrow will be better. I promise.
So until tomorrow.....

Hap-bee Birthday

There is just never enough hours in the day to get everything done that needs to get done. I usually have my kids ready for bed with all homework, reading, spelling and math facts done by 8:00. Tonight we didn't make it to bed until 8:45...uh oh rough morning tomorrow i'm sure! Your probably saying whats 45 minutes late....to us it means ALOT! I'll let you all know tomorrow :)
So I was in school helping level some 2nd grade books when I found out it was one of the staff's birthday. Normally I would have just wished her a happy birthday but now I have an excuse to craft :) I came home and made this birthday card for her. I used the sketch from 365 Cards- Day 1 which I will enter this card for. The inside (which I don't have a picture of says---Hap-bee Birthday)

Hope you like it! Until tomorrow.....
